However, those women that were there are rude and have little to no customer service experience. Aside from that, they f**ked up the order and packaged it horribly. We ordered shrimp spring rolls, beef pad Thai (#3 spice level), and chicken green curry (#4 spice level). I asked to hold the rice for the curry and just add extra veggies. The pad Thai was VERY flavorful and perfectly spiced and cooked. The curry was good, although smaller portion than most other Thai spots. The spring rolls were well packed and rolled, but they lacked flavor and were a bit dry. I won't mark them off my list, and will try them again soon - the food was good, just wasn't as tasty as I expected (besides the pad Thai). read more

Ok, I know you get that I love this place. But had to tell you about a couple of new discoveries... Kao Soi - under "big bowl noodles soup". The Menu says "Egg Noodles in Thai special curry sauce and topped with crispy noodle, served with Preserved Vegetable, Cilantro, Lime and Red Onion. My new lunch favorite. Green Papaya salad. On the recommendation of a Thai native, we tried it Thai style with sticky rice. So wonderful. Don't know if we'll brave the Lao (stinky) style - but who knows? Soup: I ordered the Tom Kha here for the first time and of course I made it level 5 spicy. Oh yeah it was very spicy. The second time around I ordered the Tom Kha medium and it was perfect. My only wish is that they add more veggie options for the Tom Kha soup. I do like the soup but only get it with veggies as the chicken is dry and the tofu is rubbery . I love how the soup comes out steaming hot instead of lukewarm. Appetizers: We order the wings here the old style way. The wings come out very hot too in which we love! Oh its so yum. We've gotten the egg rolls a few time and they are good. They come out really hot and fresh with a dipping sauce that is really good. I'm still trying to figure out why there are red dots on the egg rolls. Main Dish: The panang curry here is a hit or miss as it depends on the cooks. At times it can be sweet and have no flavor. We tend to order the level 4 or 5 and most times it comes out not spicy at all. Basil fried rice is great as well. They do not skimp on the servings when it comes to fried rice. Dessert: Oh you have to end your meal with the mango sticky rice. The sauce is sweet unlike another restaurant I went too. We order it every single time we go. Vegan Buffet: I have tried the Vegan buffet twice and everything at the buffet is wonderful. I love the mock duck dishes. I've been dissapointed many times when trying to get my Asian food fix, but the reviews on here were pretty convincing. Tried my absolute favorite Thai dish, pud see ew which usually varies in flavor, and noodle texture depending on where you go. Let me tell you it was FANTASTIC in every way. The dish was perfectly flavored in the rich soy based sauce and meat very tender and sliced thin. The noodles were cooked al dente and were dark Carmel in color soaking in all the flavor of the sauce. The broccoli was fresh and my 4 star spice was all there! The chef even came out the kitchen when I picked up my meal and said he made it special for me ;) Thank God I got lost on the way to my destination and found this place! Can't wait to come back! I was visiting the area and decided to Yelp my way to some Thai food. Omg!! This place is great. I ordered the Massaman Curry with Tofu, chicken thai rice, veggie rolls, and boba tea. The curry was one of the best I have had! It was also served with plenty of rice. The veggie rolls were crisp, but I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce (i think it was ginger) that was given with it. My family loved the thai rice, and it smelled really good (I am a vegetarian). Last but NOT least.... the taro boba tea was AMAZING. I love thai boba tea best because it's sweeter. My family and I eat here whenever we have to go vegan for religious purposes (Buddhism). Super blessed to have found this restaurant because there are very limited vegan places unless you live near Dallas. And practically none open late at night. The food here is so good! Most of the menu can be turned into vegan by subbing meat with tofu, but I always tell them to make the dish fully vegan anyways just in case. This restaurant's Pad See Ew is my favorite. The veggies are fresh, love the sauce, noodles taste aromatic and pan fried af. Curries are also delish. Panang curry has my heart. Everything my family and I have tried here is amazing, even down to their Thai tea. I'd say medium cup is a good size unless you want a large to savor for later. Be sure to order non-spicy if you're not good with spices like a certain Yelper... (me). Their mild level was too OP for me. I had to squeeze some of the orange slices in my curry to tone down the spice. It was still so good though. I endured the torture. Freshly squeezed orange juice gave it a nice subtle sweet hint. Decor is lovely. They have Thai women statues at the front to "greet" your entrance and a beautiful archway by the door. Clean place, good service, quiet and intimate in the evenings. They also have a vegan buffet on the first and third Sunday of every month. Definitely going to be checking that out sometime! read more

The place was nearly empty and I stood there a couple of minutes (between 2 busty statues). Nothing ... I thought this would be a fast and painless process, but there was no hostess, no one to seat me. I was staring into the face of oblivion. The bartender guy finally waves at me to take any seat, and I do. At this time I still have no menu, and no waitress. I'm really hungry for some Thai food, too. Suddenly, a family of four stumbles in the door and after a minor commotion, they are whisked to a table and given menus. A waitress is close behind, already chatting them up about their orders. I'm thinking to myself, "good God, now I'm going to have to wait for four covers to cycle through the kitchen!" The menu does offer a large selection of gluten free selections for those who are looking for gluten free options. The service was fair at best. I ordered pad thai which is one of my favorite dishes. I would give the pad thai a 4 star rating but the fresh spring roll was a solid 3. Was feeling a little sick this morning and soup sounded good. So I Yelped my way to this unassuming storefront treasure in search of my favorite Thai soup Tom Kha. The interior of Thai Papaya Garden has a cluttery, over decorated feel which I find homey in a single-owner Asian restaurant, like entering the living room of a lived-in international house. Incense aroma and a water feature rounded out the atmosphere. We sat by the window and ordered noodle soups and egg rolls. The egg rolls were crispy and a little dry for me. But tasty with a subtle sweet sauce. My Tom Kha was robust and flavorful, hitting the spot perfectly. The portion was ample and was served with Asian and western utensils which I appreciated. I always feel like a fail when I have to ask for flatware to finish the bowl, haha my own insecurities. My son ordered glass noodle soup with beef, also delicious. The broth was savory and smooth. The Thai restaurant for Asians. He always gets panang curry with the crispy red snapper. There's love in the presentation-- there's parsley, oranges arranged oh-so-nicely... I vacillate between curry and pad Thai. My toddler really loves their calamari (fried in panko) and she eats that instead of a kid's meal. Props to this place for their multiple ventures. They have a vegan buffet once a month (never been-- he will die if forced to eat a vegetable), offer a multitude of vegan/gluten-free desserts (also have never tried-- my daughter really loves the mango sticky rice; another example of a loving presentation complete with a tiny paper umbrella), and more recently, a full boba drink menu. I, uh, also haven't perused this expanded drink menu-- he's a Thai coffee man and I'm a Thai tea girl. Aaand we're creatures of habit, apparently. We drive by closer Thai places to go here. Four come in an order so don't have an odd number of people...or keep them all for yourself... Had the spring rolls again as well and remembered to ask for extra peanut sauce. I would rather they had more shrimp instead of chicken, but they're still above average. Pad woon sen was excellent. Today I got the Seafood Pad Thai delivered and it was amazing! Plenty of shrimp, squid, crab, and scallops. The scallions were cut correctly.
