It's been too long and I eat here (mostly delivery) too often. I've gotta say these prices are higher than most Thai spots around. About $15+ for your standard entree. Of course the standard entree here is certainly above standard.. big portions so leftovers are expected, so flavorful (and spicy), lots of fresh and colorful produce, and no lack of protein. I often add salt and pepper to my takeout food but there's no need with Thai Papaya, they're on top of their flavor and seasoning game. I recommend any of the curries, but especially the red or panang or massaman. I typically get tofu as my protein because this tofu is the best ever, it always has a crisp edge and silky soft interior. The fried rice dishes are fantastic (and can be made gluten free. In fact, there are ample GF, vegetarian, and vegan options here). I usually get the spicy basil fried rice with chicken. The pineapple fried rice is also stellar, a perfect mix of sweet and savory. The pad Thai is always excellent. Jon loves the pork egg rolls and pad see ew with beef and broccoli. We both can never stop talking about the Tom Kha soup each time we get it again, it's so perfectly creamy, sour, and savory all at once and you just feel good when you eat it. Thai Papaya Garden's menu is enormous, truly, I've barely scratched the surface. Then they have sushi and sashimi on top of the seemingly endless noodle and stir fry dishes, curries, various sauces and salads and different vegetables, seafood specialties, tons of tea, milk tea, coffee, frosties, and ice cream. This is by far the best and most authentic Thai restaurant I have been to in the United States. I know and love Thai food and try to hit a new Thai spot every month or so but this restaurant might keep me from trying anything new. The khao soi and pad gra pao here is unreal. Their khao soi is VERY close to what you might have in Chiang Mai. And their pad gra pao is no joke to die for. Textbook ingredients (with an exception of the basil cause the type used in Thailand is nearly impossible to find here). The atmosphere is nice and cozy. The service is great. But the FOOD! We order from here quite often and have had very good dinners. Last night was quite a disappointment. The basil fried rice was very bland and no heat. All of the pad Thai meals came with the wrong kind of noodles. It was like thin spaghetti. The pad Thai with chicken cane with only a few pieces of chicken. I have been a regular at this place for over 10 years. There has been a lot of redesigning and upgrades over the years, and prices going up are to be expected. I'm not sure if it is new management or ownership but the portions have gotten smaller. It is always clean, and one particular waitress always remembers me with a big smile. But last week there was a new young waiter, and I ordered noodles instead of rice with my curry. When the bill came, there was a $4.00 upcharge for noodles. I mentioned it to the waitress (not my usual one) and she said "He should have told you, take it out of his tip". I felt that was unfair to him, and besides, I am a weekly customer. They should have just taken it off my bill and next time I'd know. English is not the first language of anyone there so I did not talk to a manager. My favorite waitress was not there that day. I will not be going back because the prices have gone up and quality down. This event was the last straw- I bet I have spent thousands of dollars there. I was really excited to try Thai Papaya after seeing all the positive reviews, but my experience was quite the opposite. I arrived around 9:38 PM, well aware that they closed at 10 PM, and was greeted by an older lady who was kind, but clearly rushing me. She politely mentioned they were closing soon, which was understandable, though they still had about 20 minutes left. However, what really took me by surprise was when another staff member rudely interrupted and told me, quite bluntly, that the kitchen closes 30 minutes before the restaurant does. This information was not available on their website or anywhere else, leaving me frustrated as I had driven there for nothing, or so I thought. The entire atmosphere shifted after that moment, and I couldn't shake the discomfort I felt. It's incredibly disappointing as a paying customer to be treated this way--especially when good restaurants typically aim to accommodate guests until the door is fully locked. While the food was decent, I've had better, and the service at other Thai restaurants far exceeds what I experienced here. If you decide to visit, be cautious about arriving 30 minutes before closing, as you may find yourself in the same uncomfortable situation. And, frankly, after being treated so rudely by one of the staff members, I won't be returning. Service is everything, and the lack of professionalism from one staff member ruined what could have been a much better dining experience. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday. 2pm, so the restaurant only had one other table with a couple of people. Decor is a Thai theme, but not over the top. Music was playing at a low volume (jazz), and there was a TV at one end of the dining room with a TV tuned to ESPN (and the volume off). Server was nice. Had the Massaman curry with duck, with a mango milk tea and Boba. Absolutely delicious. Couldn't finish it all, so took some to go and they gave me a serving of rice to go with it. Nice. Everything was great. Service was friendly and prompt. Food came out pretty quickly and was delicious. Even came with a side salad with a sweet, creamy mustard dressing. I'm still loving this place even after all of these years! The food is consistently just GOOD. And always fresh. The lunch time portions are plentiful as well. One of my favorite things to order actually is the $3 portion of their fried rice. It's simple and just tasty! Pair this with some spring rolls or even their crab rangoon and you will be set. I've had their other dishes like their pad see ew with chicken and even their pho. Both stellar. You truly cannot go wrong with anything you order here. The cooks are well versed and know what they are doing back in that kitchen. I prefer taking it to go. It is a bit of an older building but don't be fooled. Door Dash and to go/pickup both the best options here. This is the best Thai in mid cities in my opinion. And TRUST when I say they have some contenders. Happy eating to you! read more

I had to spend a bunch of time scrambling around to find something to use to Eat it. I chose the fresh salad rolls. I expect lots of herbs. Each one had ONE leaf of basil and a little bit of cilantro. It had a few rice noodles, but was almost ALL raw cabbage. Hard no. I took a picture because it is almost unbelievable. While we've never actually dined in at Thai Papaya Garden, they're our absolute go-to for takeout here in Euless. Located at Industrial and Airport Freeway, they're very central for most residents in the area. In picking up food, the place always seems clean and they have a nice big dine-in area, but anecdotally seem to do one heck of a takeout business as well. We have tried most of the curries on the menu in addition to the spring rolls, pad Thai, fried rice and a number of other items. We've never been disappointed. You can get your food as spicy or mild as you like, so we always go all in and have them spice it up good. Price-wise, they're very reasonable and always have our food ready to go when we walk through the door. We'll have to give them a try for dine-in one of these days soon. read more

Man I came here once and it was okay but the second time... bleh First time I ordered Drunken Noodle It was enough portions and tasted good. It wasn't the best but it wasn't bad either. Second time, I got Pad Thai and my friend got a unique noodle soup.(forgot the name) man.. talk about the amount of salt they used. I could barely finish my dish bc it was sooooo salty. I don't know if it was bc I asked my dish to be spicy level 4 but other places can still balance out the spice level with the sodium level. I tried my friend's dish and same thing, it was sooo salty. We both came in hungry and couldn't finish our food. We didn't even want to to-go it bc it wasn't going to be eaten anyways. The vibe and customer service is nice but.. I don't know.. Loved this place! There are several gluten free options on the menu. We went for lunch and I had the pad cashew nuts with chicken and Hubby had the pad piroth with tofu. We both agreed that the flavor and texture was perfect. And the ingredients were super fresh. The service was fast and our waitress was super attentive and kind. You have to really convince them that you can handle the spice level you ask for. I guess they've had people complain that it was too hot. I contacted TPG to make a reservation for 20 people who were in town for a special event. Rikida, the manager, took the service to the next level. Not only did she make the reservation, but she worked with me to create a selection of dishes for a family-style feast. Her suggestions were fantastic and very reasonably priced. Communication was prompt and courteous. The atmosphere is fantastic. Both Rikida and the servers were highly attentive. Any special requests we had were fulfilled pleasantly. We entered the restaurant as customers and left as honored guests. I would go back to this place in a heartbeat. This place was pretty quite for Friday evening. Started with bowl of side salad. Then came the Egg Spring roll, very crunchy and fried perfectly. I wasn't a fan of the sweet sauce that came with it so asked for some Chilli sauce. Then, for main course, we had 97. Flat Noodle with Basil (Pork) and 96. Flat Noodle with Broccoli (Chicken). Both of the dishes were really good. Cooked perfectly and well blend of spices and fragrance. I loved the Chinese broccoli's stems on 96. The waitress was friendly.
