We were passing through town on our way to a different destination and decided to stop here at the recommendation of Yelp. When we came in, we were greeted and we were seated quickly. Our drink orders were taken shortly thereafter. About 10 minutes after our drinks arriving we were asked if we had an order. We placed our order and waited and waited and waited. The food finally arrived and it was delicious to be fair, but I don't feel like it should've taken 30 minutes to get noodle dishes out on the table. The place was not very busy so that couldn't be the explanation. Nevertheless, I am giving this establishment four stars because overall the food was delicious. The decor was pretty, and the servers and staff were all very polite. I would love to see them work on their timing in the kitchen. read more

Thai Rama has been a favorite of ours for years. We haven't had anything here we didn't like. Everything is made fresh and served hot. The flavors are incredible! Duck fried rice, Thai beef jerky, crab rangoon, pad Thai, and the soups are delicious too. The owners are so friendly and the servers all do a great job. If the wonderful smells coming out of the kitchen don't grab you, the decor certainly will. You feel as though you stepped into Thailand! If you love authentic Thai food, here's your sign! read more

Who doesn't love a good Thai restaurant?! Thai Rama is easy to miss heading down Truman but keep an eye out for their sign. The parking lot is small, so you may need to park on the street. The inside of the restaurant is a bit bare and lacks character, however the quality of their food makes up for it. Be aware when you are dining in that the service can be slow. The star of the show was the Nam Tok beef plate that my husband ordered. It is deliciously spicy, sour, and salty. I love the garnishment of cilantro and shallots. The panang curry I ordered was not very flavorful and the potatoes were mushy. I would definitely order the Nam Tok ten times over, but skip the curry. read more

Don't go here, the owner was rude to a large group of people and the owner who is a man actually screamed in a woman's face that he would not serve her large group. Extremely unprofessional and hostile. I overheard that the woman even said they called ahead of time to give them a courtesy notice that she was part of a large group. read more

We have been here many times over the years. Most times, the food and service were excellent. This time as well. We had the Tom Ka soup and papaya salad, both excellent! Also the Pad Thai and Panang Curry, again really wonderful. We don't usually order more than 2 dishes, but we wanted to have more to take home afterwards as it is always so good. Of course the staff were incredible as well. We were disappointed as we didn't see Carl, Kaleb or Sam as it was their days off. If you want great food and service, go there and you won't be disappointed. read more

Whenever we're in Festus or anywhere near there, we always stop in at Thai Rama. So glad we found this place many years ago. The food is always delicious, with very little wait time. The place is always clean, and we love coming here. Veggie Thai with chicken is my favorite and Spicy Noodles with Beef is my husband's go to dish. He finished everything on his plate(would probably lick the plate clean, too) but I usually take home about half of mine. The portions are a good size and I usually have enough for lunch the next day. Can't recommend this place highly enough. We'll see you soon. read more

Thai Rama is one of my favorite places to eat! My favorites are the satays and the Thia Rama dish but make sure you add vegetables. It is in a spicy peanut sauce and it is absolutely delicious! We picked up Thai Rama for girls night and as usual the food is amazing. I ordered fried tofu, spring Veg rolls and yellow curry. You get a ton of food and the prices are very low. I always get two meals out of anything I order.. The yellow curry is to die for. The spring rolls and tofu come with some type of pink sweet dipping sauce and it's so dang good!! My friend ordered crab rag which are actually meatless (not complaining) and chicken fried rice. She said her food was great. My only complaint would be that their website menu is incomplete and not the same as the menu you get inside. Their website needs to be updated. I really appreciate having a vegan friendly restaurant nearby that tastes so amazing. Thanks for another delicious dinner :) read more

We tip 20% on take out....it's that good. Best Thai restaurant in the country. Yes folks. I said it. I travel 150+ nights per year and she is the f'ing greatest. Fresh. Bursting with flavors. Accommodating to any diet I throw at her. If people bitch bc they're busy and service is bad....that's a great thing. They are that good. They are that busy all the time! Just Wait...... it's worth it. Take out is great. I get it every time I come home. Going in to eat...the owner and his son come talk to you about anything you want to talk about. No one is doing Thai like they are! The plates are colorful (my bad food was too good and I didn't take pictures.) still the chicken with basil at a level 3 spice is really good. The service is thoughtful (they refilled my Pepsi three times.) and attractive. Nicki recognized me and said hello. If you're ever close to Crystal City give them a try.
