The food here is excellent (five stars for the food!). The staff is always friendly and professional. I can't speak about the waiter service because I have only ordered take-out. The only reason I didn't give it five stars overall is because I think they are a little over priced for the portions you get. I had food delivered the other night as I wasn't in the mood to leave the house. They were courteous while placing my phone order and showed up exactly when they said they would. The food was perfectly made. I enjoyed each of the three dishes I had ordered( fresh spring rolls, panama curry, and drunken noodles.) The tiger cigars are amazing with the yummi sauce. I love fresh rolls pretty much anywhere but I enjoyed the 3 different sauces very much. The see ew was great, very flavorful, the pad Thai not so much, but I have had amazing pad Thai, so theirs was good, but not amazing. Second time eating here. Not bad as far as taste goes but portions are too small. I ordered tofu with mixed vegetables. This is California people. Veggies are cheap and in abundance here. When the plate arrived to the table I new that I was going to be hungry after dinner. To compensate I removed some of the tip money. Nobody wins in these types of situations. We love TS customer service and food. Our family of 4 dine here twice a month and we love their curries and salads. This is a small restaurant but very clean. We love to order from their special menu like pumpkin curry or lychee curry. The kids favorite is herb chicken and red curry. Their shrimp Tom Yum soup is delicious. All the dishes I ordered were delicious. The see-ew noodles were amazing, very flavorful. The panang curry was also very delicious, but the amount of the rice they served was a little small, had to ask for more. The drunken noodles also had a lot of flavor, but was a little too spicy. Excellent Thai food!!!! I've recently moved to Encinitas and have been trying to find my "Thai spot". I've tried other places, they are god but things tend to be 13 bucks a plate? not used to that for Thai food. Went here it's fabulous!!! I would so love to go to Thailand and taste Thai food, but barring that , I do like the curry here. I am a fan of Panang curry. Theirs is a little sweet but has just the right amount of spice. My friend really likes their yellow curry. The servings are generous. The down side is ( or up side if you like listening to peoples conversations) the noise level. Two people talking loudly can be heard in the entire place( they do have outdoor seating). This place is very casual, I would not consider it a date place unless you are really young and can talk loud. read more

Great food, the ambience is very nice, and the service excellent. The curries are delicious just make sure you can handle a spiciness of 8 because it IS spicy. At the end of the meal, the waitress brought us the check and I wanted another Thai tea to go but since she had charged us already I told her to forget about it. I eat here usually at once every 2 weeks. It's a huge plus that they deliver- within a small radius, but a radius nonetheless. I've tried many dishes here, and I've never had a bad one. I did get a bit of a bug from a curry dish once, but that was years ago. Overall, I wish it was a bit less pricey, but you definitely get a lot of food for what you pay for. I always have leftovers. If you're looking for incredibly delicious food, maybe go elsewhere, but this place gets 4 stars for the options, the ambience, the delivery, and the staff that are always smiling :-) read more

I had lunch at this place when they just opened. I was shocked at how small the portions were! They were so super-duper cheap and gave such little food for a place that just opened. I usually love Thai Garden in Oceanside, the food is yummy and they are generous with the portions so I always has some to take home. I think this place is really cool !! I am so glad that this place opened up close to my house. Growing up in Thailand, I know what real Thai food should taste like and this place is right on !!!The panang curry, Pad Thai, drunken noodle, and BBQ chicken have wow me. Eating here has brought me back to my childhood years. Really fresh. They also have Curry noodle which is the northern Thailand dish (never find any other Thai restaurants around SD serving this) And it tastes delicious. I am sure some people may not get some of their dishes as they are prepared the correct way not "Americanized" like they use to but who know? Maybe they could learn something from the experience that may open up their mind and their taste palettes. The place is kind of small though but I like how they put things together and make it feel so nice. It looks prettier at night. This storefront restaurant is decorated in modern, simple style, and has an elegant airy ambiance. Due to the floor being uncovered concrete, the noise level is high, even when there are few diners. The quality of the food was pretty good. We had green papaya salad,which was very good. toasted coconut crusted fried tofu, which was excellent. Fried tofu, a simple food, ubiquitous in most SE Asian countries, is more often than not poorly prepared. They got it right here: crunchy outside, soft, melt-in-your-mouth, inside. The curries were fine. Portions were ample. There was only one kind of beer offered, which Singha, the beer of Thailand. A few other choices would have been good. The Thai iced coffee was fine, maybe a bit too sweet. Coconut ice cream (not a Thai food), was blah, but, as I said, ice cream is not a food found in Thailand. Since it's near to where we live, and stays open later than many other restaurants, and was pretty good, we'll be back. Other reviews cited poor service. We had no problem, but were here when there were few diners. I can easily see how the small staff can get overwhelmed by more than a few patrons. The staff seemed a bit shy, and uncomfortable interacting with patrons. Our server, who was fine, told us that he just started to work at Thai Society today, so maybe the restaurant is responding to the complaint about the service being slow. I'm just starting the process to find the best Thai food in N. County San Diego. My family and I tried Thai Society the other night and overall thought it was good. The place is actually hard to find by using GPS and the address - look for the Buffalo Wild Wings. Here's what we ordered and a few comments: - Satay Chicken - I know this is a very basic dish but we had two young kids with us - overall good and conservative thing to order. Deep fried rolls which weren't much better than any similar Asian style deep fried spring roll. A good starter. - Chicken wings - nothing special about these - Pad Thai Chicken - Ordered a second order because my kids love it. I thought it was good but wasn't overwhelmed by the flavors and they didn't ask how hot we wanted it. - BBQ Chicken - I heard the waiter deliver this to another table and thought it looked great. Several others in the place ordered it as well. Obviously not a true BBQ chicken, just grilled chicken with a green curry type rub on it. Chicken was dry, not much flavor and one of my pieces was ice cold. Half of the piece of chicken was warm and the other half was very cold as if it was frozen or in a very cold refrigerator then they just throw it on the grill to heat it up and put some grill marks on it. They serve it with a side of sticky rice, which my kids loved. The decor was very nice, it's a small place with some outside tables as well. I will go back to try a few different curry, we'll order the Pad Thai again but mainly for the kids. The food overall wasn't bad (except BBQ Chicken) and not great. A note on the service - it was excellent. I've been to several Asian restaurants where the wait staff all help each other out so you don't just have one or two waiters taking care of you. Why can't other restaurants do this. It's nice that a waiter may be taking care of another table but come to your table to take your food order, ask if you need anything else, fill up your water. This not only provides the customer a superior service but allows them to serve the customer quicker thus moving more tables for the restaurant. read more

Brace yourself...for the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Can you handle the truth? There is no dramatization involved in this review. This is seriously what happened. This place is just terrible. No idea on the food quality or taste because after being there for about 45 mins, there was no food to speak of. Yes you read that correctly. 45 mins. Was it busy? Nope. The place was half full, half empty, whichever way you want to view it. Either way, the place was not busy and it isn't a big place so there is no reason why the food didn't arrive even after 45 min. First off, on our way in, they refused to let us sit at a different table away from the door because there could potentially be a larger group of 4 that wanted to dine. Fine. Whatever. We sat next to the door. 10 mins later the waitress comes by and asked us if we wanted something to drink. It arrived about 10 mins later. Another couple comes in and wants to sit at the table for 4. The waitress proceeds to tell them the same thing. Saving the table of 4 for a potential party of four. They said they wanted to sit next to each other instead of across from each other. You can tell they didn't care for this lame reason, justifiably so. Another waitress came by and told them the same thing. This is a table for 4. Since they are two people, they need to sit at a table for two. Wow. Really? Arguing with them like that? Is that appropriate? For the record, we were there for 45 mins and never saw a party of four enter the restaurant. Anyway, that couple left. Smart people. For some reason we were being too nice and just waited it out. We really wanted Thai food. Anyway, the couple that came in 1 min prior to us got their food. The table next to us had finished eating and ordered another item. They were served 5 mins later. During that time, we still didn't see anything in front of us. We got up to pay for our drinks and wanted to leave. After 45 mins with no food in sight and terrible service, we had to go. This place is TERRIBLE. Save yourself the grief and go some place else. BTW, when the waitress took our order, she didn't have a pad in had. She listened to what we wanted to order. Then told us she needs to write it down. Uh. Ok. Why didn't you write it down to begin with? So she left and came back to take our order again. We had to repeat our entire order. Nice huh? Wish I could give this place zero stars. Please understand, I am a very patient person that gives a new restaurant the benefit of the doubt. Here's what happened. It's Friday night, we arrived at 6:10pm. Asked to sit away from the door as it was cold. Wait staff explained its the weekend and they needed to keep the bigger tables in case a bigger party shows up. Ok, acceptable, so we sat at the table in front of the door... 6:20...Waited 10 minutes to get our drinks ordered. Owner can by and introduced herself, to the table next to us, looked our way but I guess we were not worth acknowledging let alone saying Hi to. 6:30... Waited another 10 minutes to get our food ordered, oh, that's when we finally got our drinks. Now it's 6:30 we got our soup bowls but no soup yet. 6:40... wife and I are trying to smile watching the table next to us finish their food and order some salmon rolls. 6:45... Salmon rolls delivered to the table next to us, still no soup for us. 6:50... two tables over the couple who sat down less than a minute before us had finish their appetizer of egg rolls and had started their shrimp salad. 6:51... told my wife I am "pissed" 6:52... proceeded to the counter where the chef was and asked to pay for our drinks. I am bummed. A friend recommended this place and my wife and I were excited to try this place out... As I said, I am willing to give new restaurants the benefit of the doubt. I'll wait a month and maybe the kinks will get worked out and the owner will learn to treat all customers with equal respect. Stay tuned. read more

The customer service is great! The food is very tasty but I ordered the Yellow Curry and it was incredibly salty. The vegetables were more on the crunchy side which I prefer because it usually means they were freshly added. The broth itself was more pasty than soupy. My husband and I get take out here only bc we don't have any other Thai options. The curry is quite delish, as well as the coconut soup, however their produce (vegetables) added to many of the dishes are always rotten. Tonight I got a green bean in my coconut soup that had a worm hole in it!! The broccoli is usually rotten/old. Pad Thai is one if my favorite Thai dishes and unfortunately theirs is not great. The noodles are over cooked and always stuck together, the sauce is sticky, not moist and tender. They include no vegetables in their pad Thai which usually comes standard. Overall I give this place a C rating and wish we had more Thai options in the area. Having fresh vegetables and serving a fresh product is really important- if you value this, go else where :( read more

I just went there tonight and got very rude service from a women named Sandy, This was my fourth time at this restaurant ,The last 3 times food and service was good. Tonight I asked for a Green Salad but did not want Peanut dressing she said "no" when I asked for a substitute dressing? I said bring a salad with no dressing. Never got it , I ordered Thai BBQ chicken with extra dipping sauce never got any extra sauce, I guess its dry chicken for me tonight, My wife ordered Stir Fry Vegetable plate but got Chicken. Just terrible service. I will call tomorrow to talk to the manager . I hope they don't go under but a waitress like Sandy can destroy everyone's hard work . Authentic authentic stuff. So much flavor in every dish. You know it's good when you run in to Thai people that are just as excited as you about eating great Thai food. Their lunch special deal is a steal. I almost always get their Panang or Massaman currys. if you eat in, the decor and atmosphere is pretty nice. they have nice servers and pretty menus and all that. also, i love that they deliver, there are very few options around here that aren't pizza. i've tried the curry chicken and the drunken noodles, both were very tasty. my bf had panang curry and said it was very good. portions are relatively small for the price though, you are probably paying more for the nice decor. and the 6/10 spiciness i ordered was pretty damn spicy, like hard to comfortably eat, so i'd say err on the side of less spicy than you normally order. read more
