Cute little spot to stop and have lunch of even take out food. We tried the chili pork dumplings which were very flavorful and good. The chili sauce they had more of a garlic flavor than spicy. I also got the orange chicken lunch special and wow! It was a lot of food even for a lunch special. You have the option of either chicken or tofu, salad or veggie egg roll, I thought this was a really good lunch special option! The customer service was really good the lady was so nice and helpful throughout the whole visit.

We happened upon this place due to the Yelp reviews. We don't live in the area, but came back when we were close for a great lunch. The service is great and the lunch specials are yummy. There are tables to eat inside or you can take it to go.

Decided to try some new dishes and let me tell you this place cannot go wrong. I'm the type of person to try to order the same thing that I like I get scared but I'm not gonna like a new item so this time I was with a friend when we decided to try new things and everything was so good all the flavors are just our point. I can't say enough how much I love this Thai place. And trust me I have looked high and low for a good quiet place because that is my favorite type of food. Not to mention our waitress was beyond sweet and patient with us.

I've spent a lot of time in Carlsbad and had no idea there was a Chinese Restaurant right off the busy El Camino Real and La Costa intersection. Was craving Chinese with my buddy on a chilly fall weekday evening and we were not disappointed! Got seated immediately at 6:30 pm and we ordered: - Crispy Mandarin Orange Chicken $15.95 - Szechuan Noodle Beef $16.95 - BBQ Pork Bao $8.95 Service was friendly and efficient. Our food arrived in minutes fresh off the wok. The food was so fresh and piping hot. Chicken was juicy and well flavored and the beef noodles were delicious. BBQ pork baos were ok; I'd probably order something else next time. Interior was a touch dark at some tables. It looked like many customers did online takeout orders. I would definitely come back to try the other dishes!

Wow! This spot is amazing. I'm so glad we stumbled upon it on our trip to Carlsbad. We were craving Asian, and the reviews looked great. So, we decided to give it a try, and I'm glad we did. The food was authentic and incredibly flavorful. It was probably the best casual Asian food I have ever had. The restaurant itself has limited seating. Service was good and quick.

This neighborhood needed a place like Red Dragon! The food is great and is only outdone by their even higher level of service. On multiple occasions the owners have come by to ensure everything was to expectations. This is our new neighborhood staple, no question about it.

Delicious food. My favorite was the Honey Walnut Shrimp but I really liked the General Tsao Chicken as well. The outside had a nice crunch and was presented well. I will visit here again and I recommend Red Dragon.

We popped in here last night for dinner on our way to the Omni resort which is very close by. The food here was so delicious and enjoyed by all of us. I had two kids with me who love Asian food and can handle spicy food. My son ordered the General Tsao chicken and they warned him it was spicy and then actually delivered on the spice which made him happy. I had the drunken Thai noodles that were so light and delicious with a good kick of chili again, white meat chicken and loads of vegetables. The pork wonton soup was also loaded with veggies and had such a delicious and light broth. I could eat that every day. We had bbq pork buns and Mongolian beef as well at our table and they were also so yummy. If you are looking for some different flavors with a fusion of Thai and Chinese this is your place. Service was great. They were slammed with to go orders and we were behind a few other tables seeing as we arrived late and we still received our food quick enough and everything was very hot. Lovely people serving us also. The restaurant had a kind of fast casual feel to it, but it's very clean and they have some good wine on their drink list which was a nice surprise. Incidentally if you are going to stay at the Omni like we were and you have a kitchen, this restaurant is in the same center as a Gelsons and you can grab some things to take with you to your room. Starbucks is next door and a Broken Yolk also!

Cozy restaurant with friendly service and a menu covering Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese cuisine. We were nearby on vacation and figured this was a good option for Asian food. Overall the dishes were pricey, but I'm sure it's comparable for the location. I wouldn't really recommend the dim sum as our 2 pork buns was almost $9. We got them just cus my kids wanted it. Custard buns were okay. I'm sure you can find them in any freezer section of an Asian market. We really enjoyed the pad see ew, general tsao chicken, and bbq pork wonton noodle soup. I really liked the soup because it was flavorful and full of fresh vegetables. Not too many large tables as the biggest would accommodate 4 guests, but I would recommend this for a date night.

The food is SOO good! The waitress is so sweet and attentive! Every time we come it's just as good as the last time, a hidden gem for sure!

BBQ pork steam buns and Shumai.

Small quaint place with modern decor and lots of orchids. A lot of Asian dishes...and the three we tried were all different flavors and textures. Generous use of sesame oil, ginger and garlic. Service was friendly and helpful. Wish my water glass was filled more often. The portions are on the small size but what's strange is that because of the ingredients and flavors, we were stuffed. Beef dishes needed to be chewed more than I expected but that was a part of what made it good. Slower eating because of very fresh vegetables and seasoning. Pad Thai with shrimp...noodles were stickier than I've had but that made them more filling. Cashew Nut with beef had a big variety of fresh veggies. Crispy beef with fried basil was surprisingly good. Came with a sweet and salty sauce along with snow peas. Funny thing was the small amount of rice you get but because of the main dishes, it was just right. Good place to take your time to eat and visit. Good easy classical music. Pass on the shumai and bbq pork buns...

    Gluten free orange chicken
    Jennifer R.

So many gf options--just about anything can be made gluten free! I ordered orange chicken and drunken noodles with chicken, and they were amazing. They even wrote gluten free on the take out packaging which is good because I would have wondered if I got the right order-it was that good! Reasonable prices too.

We tried this cute new spot this evening and absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back. Excellent mix of Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai with TONS of gluten free options and highly knowledgeable staff! When the menu noted they could do gluten free options I expected them to say the curry and pad thai were gluten free (which both were) but was shocked when they said they had gluten free alternatives for about 80% of the menu! The gluten free crispy mandarin orange chicken was delicious, and my family that can eat gluten confirmed it was almost indistinguishable from the original recipe which we also ordered. They also had lots of vegan options and a great drink selection, the thai iced tea and pineapple mango lemonade were both delicious. Very reasonably priced and huge portions too. I can't wait to go back and try more gluten free options! Edit: This has become our go to takeout spot and the general tso's gluten free crispy tofu is my absolute favorite! My husband also loves their beef chow mein and pork buns.

As noted by its name, this place served a fusion of Chinese and Korean cuisines. Their Encinitas location took over what used to be a roadside diner along N Coast Hwy 101. The seating capacity was less than 40 people which included a few high-top counter spots. At my last visit, I came for a late dinner before their closing time. A large menu was posted on the wall behind the service counter that listed about two dozen food offerings. The items seemed to be comfort food like pot stickers, spring rolls, fried rice, and chicken wings but flavored with unique combinations of seasonings and spices. I started my meal with the Marinated Beef Tri-Tip Skewers which came as a set of three and a Chinese mustard for dipping. The meat was very tender and well-seasoned. I also ordered the Cumin Lamb Stir Fry which the cashier said was medium spicy. After tasting a couple of bites of the noodles from the serving bowl, I agreed that the heat level was moderate, even for my palate. I thought the portion size should have been more for the price. That was my main criticism for both items, otherwise the food was solid for an Asian fusion eatery.

All of the sushi that I had (nigiri, cut rolls and hand rolls) were good but nothing special. If you're looking for a great sushi experience, this is likely not the place. They have a small selection of Japanese and local craft beers as well as bottled and tap sake. I originally characterized the service as slow and inattentive. We ordered: * 1 Large Asahi Bottle Beer ($10.99) * Shanghai Pan-Fried Soup Dumplings ($10.50) * Combination Fried Rice ($15.99) * Shanghai Style Chow Mein ($14.99) * Tasty Dry Pot with Lamb ($20.99) For me, the star was the Dry Pot, wow! This is similar to your typical hot pot but this has no broth. It was already slightly warm inside so a hot soup would have had us sweating. We chose dry and it was unbelievably good. Definitely getting this again. The Fried Rice and Shanghai Chow Mein fried noodles were excellent as well. Not huge plates but we managed to split it four ways. In fact all of the dishes we ordered family style so we could all share. They did not have your typical "combo" entrees that had sides of soup or rice. Here you order one big plate of fried rice, one big plate of noodles, and so on...and SHARE. We were getting full when the Shanghai Fried Soup Dumplings came out. Wow they were huge! Biggest soup dumplings I have ever seen (maybe I don't get out much?)...seriously the size of an orange. My wife and I split one large bottle of beer. They gave us two frosted glasses and the bottle split evenly. Perfect! Ice waters were really tasty too (I never comment on water but here I am). Service was excellent. In the end, we paid the bill using the handheld POS terminal. I asked for an itemized receipt and it printed it all in Chinese! Luckily ChatGPT helped me translate and the bill looked correct. We will most definitely come back. This food has excellent flavors, good pricing and good service. Win, win, win.
