Don't let the terrible I mean terrible service scare you away. The food will blow you away. We walked in no one in the parking lot and was wondering why since the reviews are really good. We were Also the only ones in the restaurant. Anyways she was really rude and didn't greet us, we got 0 refills and was not checked on the entire time dining in. So I am assuming that is why it could have been empty at 6pm. Worse service we have ever seen and we go out to eat often. We will try it one more time hoping for better service since the food was amazing but if the lady is working again and has a chip on her shoulder we will not go back no matter how good the food was. I hope the owner sees this and quickly trainers her. Now for the good part the food 10/10 and the prices were really good as well. Presentation was not pretty but we don't care about that. 1. Thia fried rice yes I know you see the picture and it looks so bland but it is far from being bland so many great flavors that will keep you going back for more. 2. Drunkin noodles the noodle texture was so nice thick rice noodles and the sauce was the perfect amount of sweet and salty 3. Tom yum noodle soup is my go to when I am ordering Thia. This one was pretty good, I do recommend getting a spice level since I didn't order it with any. It was a bit sweet. But still pretty good. 4. On this grand August day, my wife is chanting Kee Mow, Kee Mow, Kee Mow.... I am guessing she is interested in Kee Mow, and more. Thai Street Noodles is about a five minute drive with lots of parking in a "Mom and Pop" very neat Thai restaurant. Always a great greeting, and although our mission is Kee Mow, the menu must be consulted because my wife frequently changes her mind.... Excellent service in this small authentic Thai restaurant. Let's order: Steamed dumplings, veggie spring rolls, chicken Tom Yum soup, Kee Mow, roasted duck curry with rice, and sticky rice with mango. We cannot possible consume all of this food, and the server prepares the surplus togo. We both prefer spicy; spicy is a variable on a continuum - we elect 3 of 4 in spiciness (synonyms: spice, spicery. types: bite, pungency, raciness, sharpness. a strong odor or taste property. nip, piquance, piquancy, piquantness, tang, tanginess, zest....) I love Indian food, but a close second is Thai food. I like this place. I found that many Thai places try to be "authentic." Or "Americanized". My husband and I have passed this place plenty of times and every time we see it, we say the same thing. "We need to try that spot!" So today, we tried it and LOVED it. The Northern Curry Noodles were delicious! I'll definitely order it again. We also had the crab rangoon and wonton soup for appetizers. The restaurant is cute and welcoming. Thai Street Noodles is open for takeout during COVID-19. We ordered from them through a food delivery service. For an appetizer, we got the Som Tum (Traditional Thai salad with shredded green papaya, carrots, and ground peanuts in a garlic lime dressing). For noodle entrees, we got the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) and Northern Curry Noodles (shrimp and chicken with round yellow noodles in tangy curry sauce topped with green onions, cilantro, and topped with crispy noodles). The Som Tum and Pad Kee Mao were decent. The Pad Kee Mao noodles were thinner and harder than expected, but tasted better after reheating. I was super excited for the Northern Curry Noodles in particular, as I haven't seen it in many Thai restaurants in the US outside of big cities, and so we had to try it! Went to this new Thai restaurant this evening. I called my order in to pick it up. It only took 10 minutes for it to be ready! I had the Kua Kai. It was delicious. I had shrimp on it as well. I have to say it is really Spicy! I only had a level two and my mouth was on fire. It can go up to 4. Next time I will get level one. It still was very good. I do recommend this place. We stopped in for carry-out. Here's what we experienced: Crab Rangoon. Nice! Flavorful. The orange dipping sauce is a nice touch. I had Street #1 Pad Thai. Hear #3 out of 4 which was just right for me. This was good but lacked lemon and no peanuts. My SO had Street #15 green curry with noodles, heat 2 out of 4 which was very mild. I must be on a roll, and not the kind that I was hoping for. Two restaurants in the last week that had great reviews but my experiences weren't as good as those before me. I had been eyeing this restaurant on Yelp for some time given the good reviews that it had received and the proximity to our house. There are several other Asian restaurants in the area but some more expensive than this one. Seemed like a great combo to me: good quality and good prices. In particular, I was excited to see papaya fried rice with seafood on the menu as I really like those flavors. While the appetizer I had was pretty good, this fried rice was disappointing. There was little papaya and it was really salty. I might come back again to try something else since many other people think highly of this restaurant. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. read more

UPDATE Review from a 5/22/23 visit: I stopped by Thai Street Noodles for lunch yesterday around noon. I was seated quickly & was able to order my food in a couple minutes. I chose the Green Curry (with chicken), heat level 3 out of 4. It came with a free side-appetizer salad, which had shredded carrot & iceberg lettuce, topped with a house dressing. The curry came out only a few minutes later. The curry had tender-crisp fresh green beans, chunks of red & green bell pepper, basil, chicken, and was served with a side of Jasmine rice. The curry "broth" had a faint coconut flavor. I couldn't pick up any Kaffir/Makrut lime leaf flavor, if that was used. The heat level was good (snurfle-inducing!). I was a bit disappointed, though, in that the broth seemed a bit too salty. The price was amazingly reasonable (around $8, before tax & tip). Overall, though, a solid 4 out of 5. Do not place an online order from them. They'll charge your card and then cancel the order because they're "too busy to take/fulfill your order." So then your funds are held hostage for hours or days??? Absolutely absurd. I used literally my last dollar to order dinner while I'm ill (chronic not contagious) and had my husband go pick up while he's out getting prescriptions only to have to tell him, "Sorry, I guess we're not eating tonight at all because they're too busy, but holding onto our money that they decided they didn't actually want!!!" There are a few good Thai restaurants in the Dayton area but I have to say, Thai Street Noodles is definitely the best Thai food I've had in a long time! A group of seven of us tried this place out tonight and we sampled all kinds of things off of the menu; chef's street noodles, papaya salad, spring rolls, curries, dumplings, Siam street noodles... Not only was everything fresh and delicious, but everything had very distinctive flavors. We can't wait to go back and try something else! The restaurant doesn't look like much on the outside, but the inside is surprisingly spacious and very clean. Service was prompt and friendly without being overbearing. They were really good about splitting checks and even split the cost of shared dishes. Prices were very fair. They do serve wine and beer, but I wish they had a craft beer selection. I mean, Beegee's is right across the road; I'm sure they'd help you choose a few local varieties (e.g. Yellow Springs, DBC, Warped Wing....). That being said, I usually shy away from restaurants that don't serve craft beer but this place is just too good. I'll be back soon! read more

When it rains it pours We have had 2 new Thai places open in Kettering recently. Apparently nobody knows about this one. Service was stellar. A smiling lady met us at the door and we were eating delicious-spring rolls and yellow curry in about 5 minutes. They obviously feature noodle dishes. I'm eager to try the yellow noodles. I was surprised to not see chicken satay with peanut sauce. I HATE that they have TVs in the dining room...5-6 of them all tuned to different stations. This is the most amazing spot! I have been ordering takeout this year due to COVID-19 while their dining room was closed. The staff have always been so genuine and super friendly. The food is so good and great for picky eaters who like to customize their dishes. Especially spice fanatics like myself! We went over the weekend for our first dine in experience and I thought I would try something new. It's super hard to beat their Kua Kai! Word of advice, if the menu says "balls," don't think like me that they are meatballs of some sort. Out came my beef noodle soup with testicles. Yup. Absolutely delicious food and extremely great service. My husband and I are both picky when it comes to Thai food, but this place really blew us away. Everything was super fresh and well seasoned without being overly salty. Our server was also extremely kind and quick with everything. It was our first time trying Sukothai noodle soup, and I really recommend it on a cold winter day. The ginger, garlic, and lemongrass warm you from the inside out! Here is a hidden gem. Come in the door. The place is spacious, clean, great decor and bright. We were quickly greeted at the door. Water was immediately brought to our table. With questions readly answered by the waitress. We order the Street Noodles with duck and Thai Fried Rice with chicken. The food was out shortly and wonderful presented. I found the street noodles to be spiced to my request. The vegetables were crisp, the duck was tasty and noodles were perfect. My wife stir fry was a little bland. But that was what she ordered. Just went in for the first time tonight with my family and WOW, it was great. First the only detriment was that I *have* had better Thai Iced Coffee but it was still good, just not best... BUT, i had the best spring rolls I have ever had there, so fresh and crisp. The crab rangoons were also very fresh, not over done, and you could even see the surimi in it (not just cream cheese). And the Pad Thai? Oh man so good. Ive never been to a Thai restaurant where they bring out sugar as a condiment for your noodles along with the chili paste, dry rub and soybean sauce. I HIGHLY suggest adding a little sugar to your noodles and the chili paste was a great additive as well! 5/5 will defintely be going again. read more

We give up eating here. Ate here once and it was okay. Went back and they were closed for a week. Tried again today. The open sign was on. We went inside, a chime went off when we entered to signal someone had arrived, and there was no one in the dinning area or behind the counter. A sign stated to wait to be seated. We could hear someone cooking in the kitchen area. We talked about what was on the TVs, knowing anyone in the place would hear us, but no one ever came to greet or seat us.
