It seems that this part of the Dayton metro area has great Thai food and Thai table is no exception. I started with the fantastic Tom Yum soup (decently spicy and great flavor) and my partner with the best fresh rolls (with shrimp) that she ever had. Main courses were equally tasty. I had the garlic and pepper chicken (I've known it as Kra Tiem) and she had the Drunken noodles. The chicken was amazing and fried garlic on top was excellent. She very much enjoyed the noodles. We love Thai food, so gave Thai Table a try for our recent date night. When you first walk in, you'll notice a massive, fully stocked bar with multiple large screen TV's. We weren't expecting sports bar vibes, but thought "well that's interesting." The hostess stand has the typical 'please wait to be seated' sign. However, when we went there was only one person working as the hostess, waiter/server, and food runner. So it took a bit longer for all of the above to occur including being seated, having order taken, getting food out, and paying the bill. The menu has all the typical favorites with noodle, rice and curry dishes. I ordered the chicken pad thai and my SO got the chicken pad see ew, both at a level 3 out of 5 for spiciness. The food took a bit longer than expected to arrive given the limited number of patrons, but it was piping hot when it was brought out. It was pretty good but didn't necessarily stand out as being better than average. The spiciness level was pretty on point though, and could comfortably be felt with each bite. Overall, I wish I could give it 3.5 stars, which I think is right on the money, but the lackluster service has me dropping it to 3. If we get it again, I think we'll do carry out. read more

My girlfriend and I arrived around 5 PM on a Saturday and were surprised to find the dining area nearly empty. The space was clean, orderly, and pleasant. Ambience was calm and comfortable, a 4.5 out of 5. We were served by a young woman and a kind older man. Both were attentive, polite, and efficient. Service was excellent, also a 4.5 out of 5. The menu was expansive, which often signals mediocrity, but the food here exceeded expectations. We ordered red curry, Tom Yum with seafood, fried calamari, larb salad, and sticky rice. The fried calamari ($9.99) was crisp, not greasy, and presented well with carved carrot garnish. The red curry was thick, creamy, and generously portioned, served with about 1.5 cups of rice. The Tom Yum had a strong broth and included a good amount of shrimp, squid (or possibly octopus), and oysters. The sticky rice had excellent texture. The larb salad was well-prepared and flavorful. My girlfriend has ordered this dish at many Thai restaurants, and this version stood out for its balanced texture. It was served warm or at room temperature, with no mushy components or wilted lettuce. We walked out paying about $60 after tip. For the quality, variety, and service, the value was strong. I visited Thai Table for dinner with a friend. Clean, quiet ambiance with a large bar. They have a full bar menu with specialty cocktails. I ordered the lavender Pom martini. It was very tasty and came with a real flower in it. My friend and I shared the crab Rangoon as an appetizer- yummy! They had lots of sushi roll options for those of you who love sushi. For dinner I enjoyed the pad Thai with chicken. It was excellent and a healthy serving. Our service was excellent from the time we arrived until we left. On a side note, they weren't that busy either. If you enjoy Thai food this place is worth checking out! read more

So I really wanted to love this place. They're new so maybe there's some growing pains. It's a nice restaurant and the service is good. They brought overly salty calamari and quickly replaced it with PERFECTLY cooked calamari. But nothing was special about it. It was boring and generic calamari rings but cooked well. The chicken wings were crunchy but they overdid it on the sweetness. Again, perfectly cooked though. The spring rolls weren't full very well. The edamame was complimentary. The chicken curry was too sweet. They used coconut cream and it definitely wasn't powdered. It has a nice flavor but the sweetness was overwhelming after each bite. The duck curry had more skin than meat... and more pineapple than duck. The duck was way overcooked. Also, for COVID, the waitress went from table to table picking up glasses and filling water. Spreading ... hopefully nothing... from table to table. The iced coffee was great. The servicing size was a poor value. Complimentary cheesecake was .... well, what's you expect at maybe a budget buffet. Again, I'm sure this place has the potential to be outstanding. Right now, they need to work on details. read more

We've come here to eat dinner a few times before, and from previous visits everything tasted really good. I thought of it as my usual spot for when I wanted Pho and other thai dishes. The last time I went, I ordered my usual order, beef pho. I don't think the pho was ready because the beef was tougher than usual, and the broth had no flavor. Before, the slices of beef came cooked and would be SO TENDER and flavorful. But this time, it felt like I was chewing gum I asked the waiter if something could be done, but you could tell he didn't understand me (it seemed like he knew little English). I am extremely disappointed to write this review. Thai Table has excellent food. However, they have an extremely severe issue with placing online orders and customer service related to that which has convinced me not to order from them again and to warn others away. On November 9, 2024 I placed a carryout order and paid via the online website linked on Thai Table's active Facebook page. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was told that they are under new owners and do not utilize Toast (the point of sale system used by the website linked on their Facebook page), so the payment and order hadn't gone through on their end, and that other people had had similar issues. I paid again in person and to their credit they were very nice and apologetic and got the food out extremely quickly while I was waiting. It was my understanding that the initial online charge wouldn't go through because Thai Table hadn't received/approved it and I had paid for my order in person, but the next morning the online charge was on my bank statement. I contacted Thai Table immediately (via Facebook message, email, and voicemail). It should be noted that in addition to their active Facebook page, both their answering machine and their carryout bags also direct people to order from the website that they say they are receiving neither money nor orders from. I received a reply to my Facebook message that afternoon saying that they would get in touch with Toast. As of November 17, 2024 the incorrect website is still linked on their Facebook account and I have not received a refund for the online order (the in-person payment and tip also cleared, so I have definitely paid twice for one meal). I've reached out repeatedly, including sending them a screenshot of my bank statement showing both charges, and have not heard back from them beyond their first Facebook message response informing me that they would get in contact with Toast on November 10th. At no point have they returned the voicemails I've left or answered follow-up Facebook messages requesting information on the status of my refund. It is unacceptable that they are leaving up links and voicemail messages directing customers to a website that allows people to place orders and pay money that Thai Table is not actually receiving, and then not immediately make things right when the issue is brought to their attention. Based on what they said when they had me pay in person, this is affecting other customers as well, and I can only assume they have no intentions on refunding anyone the money or taking down the links directing people to place online orders. read more

This place is under new management and while I previously love it, now it's mediocre at best. Service was horrible. To be fair, it was 30-40 minutes before closing, so maybe they were off their game. Nonetheless, the menu is different--much less sushi than before. We ordered shrimp tempura, which looked like American fried shrimp. We ordered california roll which had 3 types of sauces on it, including a spicy one that made it hard for my kid to eat her favorite roll. We got no chopsticks for the two rolls. No one asked how our food was. Our server had no idea what sushi rolls he was serving us, he just said "sushi." My Tom Ka soup was good enough, but the spoon was too small for the bowl and kept falling in. My recommendation: If you like their food, order take out. Make reservations. We tried to get in once without them and it was a huge wait. The second time we had no issues getting in. The location is very nice. It previously housed another restaurant and they have personalized it. The food was good. The highlights for us was the Thai Table soup which was really good. It has seafood and a creamy base. I've never had anything like it. The other highlight was the Spicy Sumo roll. It was a great combination of flavors. I ordered the chicken pad Thai, which is my starting dish for trying out new Thai restaurants. It was ok. Not the best, not the worst. Two at our table ordered a chicken dish (which I don't see on the online menu to get the name) and it was basically chicken tenders with rice and a sauce on the side. I really debated giving 3 or 4 stars. I went with four because the dining room is cute (it was raining but the patio looks lovely too), the staff were friendly and the one sushi roll we ordered (pink lady) was delicious. Everything else could have used some improvement. The duck curry had a delightful flavor but the duck was overcooked, almost rubbery. I've never tasted such bland Tom Kha soup. And the seafood claypot, normally one of my favorite dishes anywhere, was. . . not good. It was dry - no sauce, gravy or soup - I've never had it served like that. We ordered it hot on the spicy scale and the noodles had immense heat but the couple pieces of seafood in it were totally bland comparatively. It was almost like it was all cooked separately and then put into a clay pot to serve, rather than simmering together, soaking up flavor and making everything juicy and delicious as a claypot should be. And I don't normally concern myself with portion size and "value" when the food is satisfyingly delicious, but because it wasn't I found myself a little annoyed over the cost of the check verses the amount of food we received. Not that we wanted to take any of it home with us. Bottom line, with so many really exceptional Thai places around town I don't have a real need to come back here, but if I did it would be the patio and the sushi that enticed me. read more

I was so excited to try out this new Thai restaurant and it did not disappoint! The inside was really nicely decorated and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The server was super nice and attentive to us. The menu had an array of different dishes such as rice, noodle, and curry options and also so many sushi options. It was very hard to choose. Our two appetizers chicken satay and cheese Rangoons were delicious and each $7. I got the basal entree with chicken for my meal and I loved it. It manages to combine a really excellent sushi bar with genuinely great and authentic traditional Thai food, while still throwing into its menu some innovative fusion dishes. It's beautifully decorated, easy to park at, and has a small patio with 3 tables that was perfect for an early summer evening. They were offering a dinner special that was $22 for 3 items: I got a cheese dumpling platter, a bowl of soup, a plate of Pad Thai, and a huge glass of their draft beer is only $3 with this deal.
