Our server also gave us 2 small containers, one had a powder and one a sauce, both of which were intended to add spice to our meals. Personally, my spice tolerance is pretty low so I went with the mild. My wife was gonna go for the medium option, but went with mild after our server warned her that their medium is spicier than we may expect. That warning was very much appreciated, as my wife felt that any spicier than her meal ended up being would have been too much for her. The meals were delicious and the portions generous. Funny enough, I ended up liking my wife's more than my own, and she liked my dish more than her own. All in all, a great date night and a delicious introduction to Thai food. I always request mild spice level, but it seems that "mild" is always translated to "no spice" which is not what I'm after, so I end up adding my own Thai chili flakes at home. I've asked for medium on a couple occasions, which came out to the appropriate medium level, so I wish they could just knock that down a hair for a mild level when I'm looking for a little less spice. Most of the time, they are pretty quick, but there were two separate occasions where I had to wait 15+ minutes after the estimated time for my order. I'll keeping stopping here and I hope they can make the tweaks necessary to improve the dining experience.

We decided that Basil is our official spot for whenever we meet up. The ambience is different than other restaurants on the island. The beautiful teal on the walls takes me on vacation. The food is and always has been over the top delicious. I've tried so many different dishes throughout the year and we have not had a mediocre or subpar dish yet. All the flavors to each dish are distinct and come together like a beautiful symphony in my mouth. The Patiala Goat Curry has become a favorite along with their garlic naan I tried for the first time about a month ago. The other orders on the table were Chicken Korma, Coconut Chicken Pepper Curry, Tandoori Chicken and a Stir Fry Chicken off of their Thai menu. Each and every single one of us left with a blissful heart, smile and stomach with leftovers. The staff here is always welcoming, accommodating and cater towards our palates and preferences.
