When I asked for my money back they took my order that I brought back, burnt it, and gave it back to me and added soup to make up for it?

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. The customer service we got today is just UNACCEPTABLE. We ordered Pad Thai and they clearly served us something else. Pad Thai is almost always orange and this place gives me a brown noodle dish that was really sweet. It was clearly something else. When I asked about it and even pointed out how the dish looks completely different from the picture on the menu, the server tried to give me a bs excuse on how it's actually brown and the picture is not correct. What the heck?! I let that go and decided to just eat it. Then when I bit into the piece of meat in my dish I immediately realize that it is not chicken like I ordered. When I asked about it, the server tells me that they ran out of chicken and they decided WITHOUT asking me to replace it with pork!!! Whoever owns this place should train their employees about proper customer service. They should've asked me first before changing my order! What if I was allergic to pork?! What if my religion prohibits me from eating pork?! What would they say then?? The server didn't even apologize for what happened and even seemed annoyed that I decided not to eat my food. I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing. I definitely feel the quality of food and the customer service is better, when the owner is there though he is so nice and attentive...I have been put on hold for 20 mins, and forgot about when making a pick up order. I was not happy about that at all considering I give a lot of money to Thai Thai ... eating take out at least twice a week. And tipping generously.... However over all, all that being said. Id stay on hold another twenty minutes on the phone to get food from here because I love it soooo much! I don't want to. But if it was the only way I i would. Came home and was completely dissapointed in what I unpacked, the portion sizes are too small for the price and the wantons tasted like they had been reheated, the cream cheese inside still cold and hard. I love Thai food. In peticular Pad Thai noodle dish.I have eaten at numerous Thai restraunts all across the USA.My wife and I stopped for lunch. The service was at the speed of slow. The food was done and served even slower. Her order, curried veggies,was good. My order of Pad thai was very ho hum bland. . So a year goes by. I think I will try again. Same ho hum Pad Thai. Couldn't be happier, I was in town for a couple days and I was shocked on how poorly people eat here (call me judgemental but let me finish). I'm vegan, it's really hard to find dishes that are mostly plants (typical american doesn't really cut it). Found Thai Thai on yelp, drove out to Carson city for dinner and had a great time. The place was clean, owner greated us and was super friendly, felt no pressure to order quickly. Had the pumpkin curry which was fantastic. I had 4/5 on the spice level and it did rip me up a little (nothing that couldn't be washed down with their delicious tea). The food was really fresh! Owner told us how she was planning to go to thailand to see her daughter getting married, very nice in general. We ate like kings for a very reasonable price (3 dishes + 2 drinks for less then $50). Was a very nice change from the hash-brown and veggie patty burger. I'd recommend trying out the tofu (you don't have to be vegetarian to try tofu) Hoping to eat there next time I'm around *Seeing the other reviews giving it different ratings (to each their own) but if you expect humongous portions and massive amounts of meats, this might not be the place that can beat the local mom & pop dinner. Their meat; whether it be angus beef, chicken, pork, or scallops, has such a diversity of flavors, and yet, they pair their meat with refreshing light vegetables like cucumbers and carrots to cleanse your palate. I love Thai Thai! The food is soooo good, and very authentic. I find it comparable to any Thai restaurant in NYC or LA. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu as they are all wonderful choices, but their peanut sauce is especially good, as well as their drunken noodles! Some people on ere complain about the portion size, but we always share an entre and it is more than enough. Our host is always very warm, friend,y and welcoming. Also, it is family owned and it is nice to support these kinds of people. It is the most authentic Thai restaurant in Carson and I always tell all my friends to come here. We ordered two items - Tom Ka Kai (soup) and Green Curry. The Tom Ka Kai was rather bland and had the undertones of canned milk. We were expecting more of a 'broth' with veggies and spices. The Green Curry was bland - with no vegetables whatsoever. It had sliced-up bamboo shoots and basil, along with the chicken meat. But I prefer to have a few veggies in it. Thai Thai is NO JOKE some of the best Thai food I've eaten in a while. I lived in a city with lots of ethnic food choices, and of course, not until I come to Carson City do I find my favorite by far! My husband and I have come only twice so far, but I seem to be craving it weekly! The drunken noodles with shrimp are to die for and have just the right amount of spice and seasoning that dance in your mouth! Went there on Labor's day. "open" sign at the door was lit, so we parked the car, got everyone out of car with strollers and a wheelchair. There was a lady inside and lights were on. We tried to open the door, and it was locked. The lady inside just kept staring at us. That's an example of misleading your customers. If you are not open - then do not light up "open" sign, and even if you did by mistake - have the courtesy to come out and apologize, and not just stare at your customers. read more

I am a Thai food fanatic and this was a great little Thai place! Staff is super friendly and nice. My boyfriend and I had the Yellow Curry Chicken w/ rice and Tom Yum Goong Soup. All of which was very delicious and more than enough for two people. We had come in pretty hungry and while we were waiting the waiter brought us an Cucumber Salad Appetizer. I enjoy the Drunken Noodle w/ Duck. The ingredients are always fresh, and the textures are perfect. Veggies are cooked nicely and not mushy. The spices (basil, cilantro, hot peppers) are vibrant. The dish is very "bright" and not overfilling, even though the portions are generous. (Probably enough for 2 meals). Considering how well the dishes were made, and the polite staff, I would be willing to pay double for what they charge. They also do takeout (something to consider during "quarantine" times). Was visiting from out of town and after a long day in Carson, starving but indecisive I suggested getting takeout and my friend suggested Thai Thai! Wow it did not disappoint. First, I thought the wait time was slightly longer than I would have expected because no one was in the restaurant, but a few people came in to pick-up orders while we waited. In the end though I determined it was truly worth the wait. When we got home the four of us stood around the kitchen literally stuffing our faces. My husband and I love thai and can be a little picky, but this place hit the spot. We shared the coconut soup that was out of sight. The guys got some spicy noodles or pad thai.
