Finally found a FANTASTIC Thai restaurant in the Chantilly area!!! Haven't had Beef Pad Thai THIS good since going to places East of the Chantilly area in YEARS!! My husband said it was actually quite like the Pad Thai he had when he lived in Thailand!! SO much flavor!!! Lots of beef!! The Green Curry was delicious, with the right amount of heat! Could do without string beans, and would prefer a wee bit of eggplant instead. String beans? I'm thinking Kra Pow, for sure!! Green or Red Curry? I want eggplant! Otherwise, it was perfect!! The Satay was delightfully thick slices of marinated fresh chicken breast grilled to perfection! My husband raved over the peanut sauce. This had to have been the very worst food I have eaten at a restaurant, including fast food. The shrimp appetizer smelled horrible and you get a bunch of baby shrimp that is fried in what tasted like rancid oil. The side sauce was watery and bland. The crab rice had what was basically unflavored and lowest quality crab on top of a bunch of flavor less rice. Again, this did not smell fresh and I ended up throwing it out. The crispy beef was not crispy, it was sugary with cheap cuts of beef. I basically threw all of the food away what a waste! read more

Delicious food! Adorably decorated spot in new Wegman's parking lot area. Ordered carry out. A bit of a communication issue as I called while in the car at 4:45pm. The woman answered and I mentioned I'd like to place a take out order. She said "we will open in 15 minutes. Please call back." I was quite shocked and asked if I could kindly order now and pick it up once they are done cooking it? This was a novel idea to her--why didn't I think of that !? Regardless, after a short and expected wait at the bar for my food (I arrived around 5:10pm) and enjoying the ambiance, I got my to go order from the male bartender. Probably my new favorite Thai spot. My veggie and tofu pangang curry was flavorful with the right amount of spice. Been going here since they opened. Food has always been good which is why we've returned time and time again. Up until our dinner last night we've been fairly satisfied, but now we won't be returning. We ordered take out consisting of green curry with chicken and chicken rama. We were shocked at the portion sizes. The rama container was half full and the curry was more like soup with very few solid ingredients - 3 or 4 shredded pieces of chicken (which had the consistency of rope) and 3 greenbeans were sloshing around in the coconut milk. Rice containers were half full. I thought maybe we ordered lunch portions and upon checking we ordered and paid for dinner portions. Tried for 30 minutes to get through on the two phone numbers at the bottom of the receipt ("If you need help with anything else, do not hesitate to contact us at +1 571-414-3555, +1 571-414-3377 immediately."). Both were busy the dozen times I tried to call (the restaurant was half full when I picked the meal up). Sent an email and still waiting on a response the next day. Chantilly & Centreville area have plenty of other options for Thai. There's no need to give these guys any more business. read more

I don't know if it was just a bad batch or something that day but it was a very weird after taste and a little sour smelling/taste. Grabbed lunch here and really enjoyed the chicken pad curry. The portion size and cuts of chicken were generous, which I completely finished since it was so good. The ambiance is tasteful with comfortable booths along the side and a few pieces of quirky decor on the back wall to keeps things interesting. The service was attentive and friendly. Small but intimate. I appreciate a clean bathroom and they did not disappoint. The Bartender Aui "Ben" knew the menu and was very honest about what was good to try and the spice levels. Prices are fair. I had the Basil Fried rice with chicken, medium spicy and it was delicious! Could have used a bit more fried shallots. The sweetness of the shallots put a nice touch on the dish. We were very excited to see this restaurant finally open a few weeks ago. It seemed to be under construction for a very long time, but I must say it is worth the wait. We are very fortunate to have a number of great Thai restaurants in this part of town and this is no exception. I've been to lunch twice in 3 days and each time truly enjoyed the meal. Let me start with the physical restaurant itself. It is very quaint inside, well decorated, and has a small full-service bar with beer taps. Outside is a very large patio (with heaters). It was a beautiful day during both visits and they have a garage-style door that opens up connecting the inside with the outside. As for the food, found both my dishes (Kapow & Drunken Noodles) delicious with just the right seasoning and heat. Their Tom Kha soup was superb. I got to try one of my son's spicy chicken wings and the sweet basil sauce it was served with was very tasty. The service was more than satisfactory given how busy the restaurant was during both visits. The one downside was today's lunch where the main course was served minutes after receiving our soup and summer rolls. The wings even came out after the entrees were served. Obviously, they need to work on their timing. Nevertheless, the all our food was served piping hot so it wasn't a major factor. Overall, definitely recommend visiting Thai Tyme for we plan to add this to our frequent dining options list. read more

This place is great! I've been here a few times for lunch with co-workers. The food (particularly the duck curry and basil fried rice) and the service are always excellent. A little more shade on the patio would be nice sometimes, but other than that, everything is excellent. Glad to have a great lunch spot so close to my office! read more

Loved their Ambience . But Customer Service, down south and much below par . People who helped us on the menu and food service were pretty worse , rude and what not. First when i entered the restaurant the first thing i called out is Vegeterian and hence we dont want any of our food containing Egg/Meat/Fish Sauce on it . She warmly acknowledged it and gave us the water and picked the starters order. Starters came and Tom yum Soup was tasting good but , pretty cold and not hot . We ignored and had our Spring rolls , Steamed Veggies and Veg Dumplings. I liked the dumplings and its rare to get anywhere vegetable dumplings. And then i ordered our Main course ( where the issue started) We ordered Green Curry with Rice and Panang noodles for our main course. Also we asked for a Fried rice Veg and mentioned on side. When i saw panang Noodles it had Egg in it . When asked about egg in it, they replaced with another one but found that there is some uncooked spices smell and it tasted bad. When i mentioned it they said ok and removed it. Clearly they didnt like it when i commented on the food . Also instead of a side Fried rice order they gave main rice . When asked for the check they gave the full bill for everything and claimed that i ate half of the noodles and hence they wont do anything which wasn't true. She also blamed me on the orders that i gave wrongly and im manipulating . Asked if i can talk to manager she said " its me" talk to me first. They also blamed me that i'm lying. Clearly that was one of the devastating birthday dinner i have ever went. We constant eat and try many Thai restaurants on our area and these guys are the worst on the behaviour and service part. read more

This place is extremely RACiST. I went there on Nov. 11, 2021 at 12:14pm. I ordered chicken basil fried rice. I didn't get my food until 12:55pm and when I got it I knew something wasn't right. I have ordered from this place before and I've always ordered the same thing so when the waitress bought out my order in a different container something was wrong. I asked her "Is this chicken basil fried rice?" and she said "Yes". I told her "No this isn't the correct container that it comes in unless you changed the containers". She assured me that it was the food that I ordered. I looked into the bag and it was NOT the food that I ordered. I told her "No this isn't the food that I ordered" and she asked me to repeat myself and I told her to get a menu so I can show her that way. I pointed to the meal I wanted which was chicken basil fried rice. She said "You didn't say that" I said "Yes I did". She said "Give me two minutes and to change it" I said "OK". This did not take two minutes. This took 15 minutes and I had to ask her to check and see if it was done. When she came back to give me my food I asked to speak to the manager. The manager was at the bar the entire time and I didn't know it because he's wearing the same uniform as everyone else. He then came over with his face already unpleasant. I told him that the food took way to long to come. He said "Well I heard you got the order wrong" and I said "No she got the order wrong". I said "There were 6 people that came in after me and they all have their food and all of there food is what they ordered". He said "Well next time I will have your food out faster and give you something special". I said ok and then when I started to leave he suddenly asked me "Do you have any other complaints ?" with an attitude in his voice. I said "I already told you what my complaint was which was the getting my food late". I then turned to walk out. While sitting there he gave people who came in to get to-go orders all complimentary water and I wasn't offered anything the whole time I was there. The majority of the people in this place were White and I am African. I was given the wrong order and received attitude for pointing out this place's poor customer service. I will NEVER go to this place again. I will GLADLY take my hard earned money elsewhere. Very disappointed in this place! read more

Outstanding! Looking forward to trying other favorites from the menu! We ordered drunken noodles and pad thai entrees, as well as the spring roll appetizer. Hot, fresh, crispy and delicious. I'm pretty sure the sauce was homemade. The noodles have that delicious flavor of Thai fish sauce combined with Thai soy, sweet soy and I am guessing oyster sauce. The drunken noodles also have what I assume is 'wok hei' (breath of the wok) or a smoky flavor that I love in my noodles. I learned that term a year or so ago and I hope I have that right. I try to recreate it with my cast iron wok and have yet to be successful. Some noodles at other restaurants don't have any evidence of being stir-fried at all. The staff are also amazing and friendly. We used to go to a really great Thai restaurant in Middleburg, but now this is our go to restaurant, and it's closer! read more

I placed a phone order for basil fried rice with chicken and was told it'd be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant for pickup 15 minutes later and one of the waitresses charged me for the order and said it'd be ready in a minute or two. 10 minutes later, I had to bother another waitress for my order status and told her that I'd been waiting for more than 10 minutes. She asked me what the order was for and went inside the kitchen to check on it. 5 minutes later, I had to stop the same waitress and check on my order status. That is when she said it should be ready very soon and they had actually lost the initial order ticket due to some power issue or something. Honestly, I was so frustrated when I was told that, not because of the actual issue, but the waitress who charged me for the order when I walked in did not care to check about the order and not even after 15 minutes of me waiting. And, she was definitely not busy attending tables. I was offered a complimentary Thai iced tea for the inconvenience, which I did declined. But, I appreciate that they at least tried to make the customer happy. Coming to food, it was good. The quantity was really less compared to all other Thai restaurants I've had from.
