I came here for their vegetarian lunch special during the week. I ordered the: + Fried tofu - which was pretty bland and basic. 2/5 + The curry puffs - which were yummy! 4/5 + The dumplings - which were good, too! 4.5/5 The service was solid and the ambience classy and clean. I would normally give this place a 3.5/5, but because service was wonderful, a 4/5 is fairer. For improvement, I would either amp up the tofu dish (making it more flavorful and putting more effort into it) and or adding some more vegetarian options. Overall, this place has great potential.

Ive had this location on my radar since it as opened and I finally made it here for dinner! Ive dined at their Manassas location several times and was in awe at how spacious this location was! The interior is a whole vibe! The staff was pleasant and very attentive. The menu is vast so it may take a minute to determine what you would like to eat so take your time to review it before making your final decisions. We ordered a few things and agreed to share them all amongst ourselves as we seem to have our eyes on all the same dishes. Our food came out piping hot to the table and the wait for its arrival was standard. Would entertain coming back to this location again whenever I am in the area!

The food was TERRIBLE!!!! Not sure how they even received the rating they did since this is NOT service I would even expect from a 3-star Thai restaurant!! First of all, I requested that my Pad Woonsen be WITHOUT carrots and bell peppers, but guess what...it was LOADED with CARROTS AND BELL PEPPERS!!!! And then I also ordered the Wonton Soup. I mean, please, what could go wrong there?? Well, it sure did in every way possible!!!! I the broth or whatever it was, it was everything I did NOT EXPECT IT TO BE!!!! It was LOADED WITH SUGAR!!!!!!!!!!! It was absolutely DISGUSTING!!!!!!!! I don't EVEN KNOW HOW THIS IS ON THEIR MENU!!!!!! Puke puke PUKE!!!!! I will NEVER ORDER FROM HERE EVER AGAIN!!! No exaggeration made at all since I had one of my friends try the soup as well and the look on his face was one of ABSOLUTE DISGUST!!! He told me it was one of the most DISGUSTING soup he had EVER TASTED and told me to TOSS IT OUT!!! I will be more than happy to go to other establishments since there are much MUCH HIGHER QUALITY Thai restaurants all around the area, thank you so very much!

Food (5/5): The food is really fantastic here and it's easily one of my favorite Thai places in the area. The shrimp pad Thai is my favorite for the lunch special and my go-to. The sauce is sweet and salty and seems homemade, as opposed to overly sweet sauces that some pad Thai uses. The pad see ew beef is always really good. Service (4/5): They are really nice here though sometimes they are bit slow in coming over to check on the table. We have been able to get in and hour in less than an hour, though and they give us separate checks so we like coming here with groups. Ambiance (4/5): This place ins't normally crowded. Sometimes you get a nice outside table but you are looking at the parking lot or the noisy coffee shop next door.

Service was ok. Everything had to be asked for a togo order like utensils and plates which they didn't even provide after just quickly dismissing the request which was kind of rude Food itself was ok again, nothing too special. There are better Thai options to try out there. Thai iced tea was really good tho so they got something right. Panang curry was decent too but filled with mostly tofu and curry, barely any vegetables and had an overly peanut taste to it. The drunken noodles were the worst. Soggy noodles and very chewy flavorless tofu. Restaurant was packed when I went to pick up the order and even the dishes in the restaurant looked ok at best. Very loud science as well. People were shouting just to talk to each other.

So I placed an order the other night since my husband was out to dinner with a friend and he was right next-door practically I ordered seafood, drunken noodles and Tom Kha soup I ordered this all the time at my local Thai restaurants The Chicken Tom Kha soup was so strong and concentrated, and didn't contain any vegetables other than a few scallions. I had to open up a container of broth at home and add vegetables The seafood drunken noodles was so bland. I was shocked. I found one jalapeño in it and onion slices, one slice of tomato, a couple of shrimp and two rubbery pieces of squid that were the size of pencil erasers. It was not good I wasn't going to leave a review until I saw my bill which did not reflect the prices on your yelp page. The prices were drastically different and I'm sorry but the prices of the ingredients for this are not reflected anywhere else in Northern Virginia so there's no reason for drunken noodles that don't really contain much seafood other than three shrimp and two little pieces of squid to be $20 Which was five dollars more than what was listed on the yelp page and the soup was in a small pint container and two charge eight dollars is ridiculous And won't be coming here again, no matter if I'm in the area or not I will stick with my authentic delicious incredible Thai restaurants here in my area

It was a great late night spot on a Sunday. We came here after grocery shopping and managed to fit in a last minute bite to eat. They were pretty busy with some full tables and the atmosphere was very unique. I ordered their tofu soup which comes with a meat based broth, tofu, napa cabbage, cilantro, scallions and peanuts. I also ordered their summer rolls with shrimp and really liked their take on it with very thin noodles. Also their peanut sauce was unique as well which paired nicely with the rolls. My husband got the crispy beef which comes with rice, crispy kale, and red bell peppers. Overall all the dishes tasted great and highly recommend this restaurant for the Chantilly area.

4/5. Went here for lunch with a friend as we were looking for new lunch spots to eat during the weekdays. Thai Tyme is very close to where we work so why not give it a try. For a quick TLDR, food was average, service was good, atmosphere was very nice. The Food: For lunch, I went with the tried and true Pad Thai, with a Tom Yum soup as an appetizer. The Pad Thai was good, but nothing about it had a wow factor. The noodles were kind of "wet" when they were served which was a little weird to me it could've just been that day. However, taste was just average. The Tom Yum soup was delicious and the flavor was very rich. The Service: The service was good. The staff were friendly and our orders were brought out in a timely manner. The Atmosphere: The restaurant was nicely decorated and the place was very clean. Overall, a 4/5. The Food was little average compared to other Thai restaurants I've had, but the service and decor made up for it.

I was looking to get to a Wegman's. Then I remembered that the one in Chantilly had a few restaurants in the same shopping center. Doing some research, I came across Thai Tyme. After taking a look at their menu, and having my husband do the same, we both agreed to give them a try. Since they open for dinner at 5 p.m., we decided to go when they opened. We were there on a Saturday night. Our first visit, I had some Tofu soup as a starter as did my husband. The soup had some napa cabbage in it as well as some roasted garlic bits. We enjoyed this mild but flavorful soup. For my main course, I ordered "crab fried rice". I did have some trepidation as in the past, I've ordered this in other Thai places and it was dried out. There was no need to worry as the rice was moist and the crab meat portion was quite generous. The portion was good sized without being too large. My husband had "mixed vegetables" with shrimp, which comes with a side of rice. He enjoyed it as it was mild and well flavored. After the meal, I told my husband that I wanted to review the place but he said he would like to go a second time and try something else. He thought it would give us a better idea by seeing if other dishes were this well prepared. So...once again, we were here on a Saturday around 5 p.m. Service, again, was quite good. The staff is friendly and efficient and the front of the house helps one another out. Sometimes if things are slow at the bar, the bartender will bring the food or clear away plates. Again, we started out with the tofu soup. This time, the soup was on the over salted side. The garlic bits did help counteract the salt but...while some salt is necessary, it needed to be toned down a bit. We both had agreed to have different entrees. I settled on "pad woonsen" and added tofu as my protein. I have never seen this dish on a menu before. It's a mild dish that has cellophane noodles as well as several veggies, including, carrots, tomatoes, onions, green onions, red bell pepper and some tree ear. It also has some egg in it and chopped peanuts on top. This was also mildly flavored . I appreciated that the cellophane noodles were cut small as it made eating it quite easy. In fact, I think I like this better than pad Thai as some pad Thais have an odd flavor to them, which I've never cared for. My husband had "cashew nuts" with shrimp. This dish has a brown sauce with veggies and the most prominent veggies were carrots and onions. This is a dish he often gets at Thai places but he said he thinks the one he had here was one of the best due to not only the flavoring but the attractive plating. And, yes, we will be back---dinner then a visit to Wegmans :) Maybe next time I'll splurge and try one of their mixed drinks---some of them sound so good!

Over the years the service level has dropped. Last time I went they were trying to rush us out saying "folks are waiting can you hurry up". That is not how you treat your long term customers. The lady who is also the co owner is the culprit.

Came here for lunch with a group! We were seated outside, which was really nice. I ordered the: - Beef Drunken Noodles - Thai Tea The noodles were fine, but the beef was definitely overcooked (sooo chewy). It definitely would've been better had I gotten chicken. The menu had listed the Drunken Noodles as spice level 2, but I didn't really taste much spice (maybe should've requested a higher level). The Thai Tea was pretty good and standard. The service was good, and they were able to give us all separate checks.

Nice and cozy atmosphere, we dined on the outside patio which is a really nice outdoor dining area. The service was great and the food delicious. Lots of drink choices, I had the watermelon which was very refreshing. I had the veggie Pad Woosen and spring rolls both were very good. I will definitely be back to try more. read more

Just noticed that there is a jew Thai restaurant here in the same complex as Wegmans. They have quite a number of lunch specials in addition to the regular menu. They have a patio that the bar opens up to so i think that its planned for summer time happy hours. Food was great. We got a yellow curry and a green curry. Very tasty and not overly spicy at a good sized portion. Wait staff were friendly and helpful. Need to come back to explore the rest of the menu read more

Lots of good reviews so I am quite disappointed with the taste of the food here. We ordered the beef salad that says it is spicy. Not spicy and really no flavor at all. Same for the pad tai, no flavor. The panang curry had very little chicken in it and was very soupy, like water that drowned my rice. Almost no lime flavor in the food or other flavors typical of Thai. This food has been made bland I guess do the American palate. read more

Had a hankering' for beef drunken noodles on a Tuesday. I had walked by this place several times before and it seemed like it took forever to open. I noticed a nice outdoor area during nice weather. I ordered conveniently online and picked up 15 minutes later. It was a great size for lunch, lots of beef, and noodles were spicy but not I'm going to die spicy that some other places do. I would def order again and look forward to trying other things on the menu on their outdoor patio. read more

Came in on a whim for a lunch on Tuesday. I was greeting and seated immediately. We ordered spring rolls which were rather small (three per order) and the Tom Yum Soup which was rather tasty. Entrees were the Pad See Ew and the Panag Curry. Both were fresh and delish. They showed the characteristic Thai attention to beauty and fresh ingredients which is how Incame to love Thai restaurants. read more

2 days since their opening day. Tried this place out with a few friends yesterday and we were all amazed by how tasty this place was ! We got drunken noodle, pad se ew, and pad Thai and every one enjoyed their dish. We also got a sangria and lychee margarita and it was freaking delicious! The outdoor dining area looks amazing ! Love the food here and the restaurant is small but attractive and has a patio. Hate the management though and they have weird hours. Ordered take out at 2:30 on a Sat. (they close at 3:00) Got there at 2:45 to pick up and the door was locked. Lady who let me in said "yes?" But her look said "why are you trying to open the door, we're closed?" Saw another take out customer given the same attitude as I was leaving. Aren't restaurants usually happy to see customers? If they want to close at 2:45, then post those hours. Your doors should be open during your stated business hours! read more

I feel like the few times I've come here, the waitress always has an attitude. The overall ambiance is really nice, which is what draws me in. But the service. They're ready to kick you out once you eat! I don't consider this AT ALL kid friendly. I ask for a kid menu, they don't have one. Fine. But then can you accommodate kid dishes. Nope and she has said that. I asked for just a side of noodles and they will not do that. Or they will, but they will charge you for a meal. They claim there is no flavor. I dont' care, I want that and i'm paying for it. It's a shame because I would like to come here with my family, but they make it very hard. read more

Want to warn everyone of our recent bad experience with this restaurant. Our family and friends have been regular Patrons of Thai Tyme since it opened doors. We love the food and the outdoor ambience and go there to eat at least every other month. Last week we were a group of 6 adults that booked a table in their outdoor seating and were enjoying the food. The service is always very curt and quick but that has never bothered us. And at 9:35pm the restaurant turned off the outdoor lights. Mind in our group, somebody was still eating, food was on the table(not cleared or packed). So another member in our group went and asked the server to turn on the lights and the server/owner refused. They said the lights are turned off automatically, it is not their fault that our group started eating late and that we can move ourselves to a different table if lighting is an issue. This appalling behavior really threw us all off and we were stunned. The Restaurant website says it is open until 10pm. We are still not sure why they behaved so rudely. We are still reeling from this thoughtless unkind behavior. So beware if you want to dine there. read more

A perfect place to catch up with buddy or co-workers during the holiday season. Affordable to little pricy for some of the disk on the menu, but the portion toward small. Good service (at least they asked if you were their the first time, or what type of food do we liked) and short wait time on the disks. The vibe is good, clean interior and I like their open tall ceiling. Parking is not a problem. They also have outdoor seating. read more

RUDE! UNPROFESSIONAL! That sums up our recent experience at Thai Tyme a few days ago. We are regulars at Thai Tyme in Chantilly and usually enjoy their food and ambiance. Therefore, we were shocked by the behavior of the owner and waiters when we were forced to finish our dinner in the dark (seated outside) because the owner decided to turn off the lights without informing us at 9:30 pm. When we requested that the lights be turned back on for a few minutes as we were wrapping up, we were told it was closing time, even though Google listed the closing time as 10:00 pm. This restaurant clearly does not prioritize customer service, as they even suggested we take our plates to a brighter area outside to finish our meal. Beware folks! read more

Surprisingly great food and great prices! Came to VA on a business trip and didn't know any good places to eat around here. Drove around after a meeting until I saw their sign. At first, I thought it was a fast food restaurant by the name of it, but was pleasantly surprised by the sit down ambience. Had chicken panang and it was delish! read more

Cons: READ your receipt before payment. Messed up my order by charging me double for pickup. They didn't apologize and asked me if that will going to be the tip... NO, you messed my order up. AND they didn't know what the Thai pickled pepper condiment was. Found out Owners are NOT Thai, they are Chinese. Never coming back! read more

Pad Thai was way too sweet. Hot pot in the pot didn't even come with heating element. My hot pot was never hot. It went from warm hot pot to COLD in 7 minutes. Terrible food but great service!! read more

We were shopping at Wegman's across the street and decided to have dinner here. It was packed and it is a pretty small place so it can easily be packed up real fast. The decor inside is really nice and neat and I loved how they had a projection of Mark Wiens' Thailand episodes on the wall. Our servers were very polite, friendly and helped with suggestions. The place was very clean. It was a little too crowded for covid, but everyone not eating especially the staff had masks on and we were recently tested negative after eating there, so no worries. I ordered a strawberry lemonade and it was fresh made at the bar. I watched the bartender make it. It was so good I ordered it twice. We ordered a few appetizers and the crab wontons were my favorite. You don't usually get those at other Thai restaurants so it was nice to see something different on the menu and it was delicious. The main entrees and soup were also good. I do recommend people to come and at least try the place out. We hit up a lot of Thai places so it may not be a spot we would return to, but it wasn't a bad experience either. We did enjoy our experience and meal here. read more

This restaurant is in a brand new shopping center and it is so nice! The restaurant itself is beautiful inside but does not have a ton of seating inside. It is so cute though. They were definitely busy on a weeknight with both takeout and people coming in to eat. The service was attentive and fast as well. We were in and out under an hour. The chicken satay appetizer was flavorful and tender but the pieces of chicken were a little bit smaller compared to other restaurants. The spring rolls were delicious and they give you three of them for an appetizer so that is a little bit on the smaller side as well. I tried their pad thai and the serving size was definitely big enough for two meals but was not as huge as some of the other Thai places in the area. Their pad thai was delicious and not drenched in sauce and a little bit on the sweeter side. I also liked that they added some crispy shallots which I have never had before in this dish but it was a good tasty addition. I also liked the chicken in the noodles because it was on the more tender side and not dried out like some Thai places make it. I will definitely be back here and try more stuff! read more

I have been twice now. We tried the shrimp tempura and pop pop shrimp appetizers. You must use the sauce for the tempura, it's delicious. The drink menu is amazing, ginger lemon smash and thai chili margarita are my favs. My girlfriend loves the lychee punch! For entrees we have tried drunken noodles, basil fried rice, pineapple fried rice, crying tiger, and the lamb yang. It was all amazing. Service has been great every time also! Aui and the two girls we've met so far are so nice. Food may take awhile to come out when busy, but thats to be expected with a new restaurant. read more

Love the ambiance here, as well as the fast and friendly service. Bartender was great and cocktails are all fresh made. I had wine, which I enjoyed, but cannot wait to get back for a cocktail and some apps! The food was decent, not the best Thai in the area though. I had Panang curry; it was very sweet and in my opinion lacking in curry flavor, tasted mostly like coconut milk and was a very loose sauce, almost soup like. After the spice tray, much better and I loved the peanuts that added a crunch. Hubs got his usual Kaprow, also good but a tad lacking in flavor. Overall we will be back for a nice meal at the bar and cocktails, but will not be our go-to Thai takeout. read more

I had the shrimp summer roll - B veggie spring roll - B Crab fried rice. - C I didn't see any large lump of crab meat and it doesn't taste the usual crab fried rice that I get from other places. The food was very hot and fresh, even when we brought it home. Everything had lots of flavor and we really enjoyed the Chicken Curry. Not to mention the, the hefty portion sizes were plentiful! We will be back if the quality is this good all the time. read more

Ordered take out from this place for the first time. Got chicken with vegetables, chicken with broccoli, steamed dumplings, and pad Thai. The first 3 dishes were ok but this pad Thai was so plain jane smh. No taste, no lime wedge. I only ate half and threw it away. Not even my sate sauce could salvage this dish. read more

Finally found a FANTASTIC Thai restaurant in the Chantilly area!!! Haven't had Beef Pad Thai THIS good since going to places East of the Chantilly area in YEARS!! My husband said it was actually quite like the Pad Thai he had when he lived in Thailand!! SO much flavor!!! Lots of beef!! The Green Curry was delicious, with the right amount of heat! Could do without string beans, and would prefer a wee bit of eggplant instead. String beans? I'm thinking Kra Pow, for sure!! Green or Red Curry? I want eggplant! Otherwise, it was perfect!! The Satay was delightfully thick slices of marinated fresh chicken breast grilled to perfection! My husband raved over the peanut sauce. I've enjoyed others that I like better, but it WAS quite tasty! Can not WAIT to go back again!!! We've found OUR new Thai place!!! Yay!!! read more

I did call the restaurant right away to let them know, because I did not eat what I received. My dinner was not good and a complete waste. Unfortunate. Even more unfortunate was the fact that the person I spoke with did not seem to either believe me or care. I will add a photo of what I received in a bit. I was very much looking forward to this food so feeling mostly disappointed, is all.

Service was slow and inattentive. I saw several tables who came after me get their food first. I saw that it was the same order that we had placed. So I asked where my order was and they seemed lost and said they already brought it out. I laughed and said no you didn't bring anything out but our drinks. They went to check and long behold it was sitting there for 30 minutes in the kitchen. I thought maybe since this place was new that I should be a bit patient. They brought the food it was cold "panang curry and drunken noodles". No apologies and cold food. What a pleasant experience that was. Save your money and go elsewhere Ocha Thai is 2 miles from here and is way better food and service wise. read more

I've come here countless times with a big group of my co-workers. The waitress, Sammy, and the waiter were over the top fabulous! The food used to be consistently good, but last time has been very disappointed. Pad Thai was overly sweet. Raw shrimp was found in pineapple fried rice. Crispy beef was so overcooked, it was like shoes leather. Penang curry was sugary like a stew. Sweet chicken stew would be a more accurate name. Maybe a cook had a bad night, but it was not edible. The green curry had a weird and very salty taste to it, did not taste like any other I've had. Didn't taste much coconut nor sweetness. It felt like a Thai inspired restaurant not really authentic.
