    Steak & Eggs (Bo Ne)

So glad there's more Vietnamese spots to try! I was seated immediately while waiting for the rest of my party, the place was pretty spacious. Food was good and I'd def come back to try other items on the menu. Shaking beef 4/5 -slightly chewy but I'd order again Steak & Eggs 4.5/5 -pate with the bread and eggs was soooo good Wings 4/5 -sweet&spicy, deducted a point because it got soggy somewhat fast Thai tea (not pictured) 3/5 -I like mine sweet and this tasted like 70% sweet, even with the whipped cream

I ordered the crab and pork meatball Pho soup. I didn't like it, honestly. I should have stuck with what I know I like - the chicken Pho soup. But I don't like chicken anymore after having lived near a chicken farm. So it wasn't my scene. But the family I am staying with loves this place and loved the food. They are very happy. The waiter was nice. The place is very clean and well-kept. Apparently it's very noisy on karaoke night. And the people singing karaoke are very good at it!

Massive portion when i got lucky and got a big bone!! Steak knife comes with to slice meat off bone and it was mostly tender.

Great service! Amazing food!! I like the ambiance as well. The portions are the best from the appetizers and food to the drinks. The pho broth is very tasty. I had never had Bone- in Beef Pho, but it is my favorite. The short rib pairs perfectly with pho with the fattiness and tenderness of the meat. The spring rolls were great, we tried the pork sausage spring roll and the regular. This is literally my new favorite place for pho. I think everything on the menu looks like it would taste great. Another great item was the watermelon yogurt cooler and kiwi yogurt cooler. So fresh and refreshing!! My daughter ordered the Whipped Thai iced tea and I as very pleased:)

I tried this restaurant this week for lunch and we LOVED it! It was incredibly busy, but we were seated as quickly as possible. We were also served very promptly. The inside is decorated nicely as well. They have a good sized menu, but we were here for the pho! I got the "make your own" pho with options A, B, and C. When it came out, it was perfectly hot and delicious. I really enjoyed their broth and it came with a good amount of meat too. I appreciated how it was cut into manageable pieces. I would love to come back here and try more of the menu.

Saigon Bistro in Chantilly has truly stepped up their game! The space is surprisingly big and beautifully set up -- and on weekends, they even have karaoke with some seriously talented local artists. It makes the atmosphere so lively and fun, perfect for a night out with friends or family. The service here is amazing -- the waiters and waitresses are friendly, attentive, and super fast with everything. I barely had to wait for refills or food, which is always a big plus. One of their new dishes, the mussels with raw quail egg, totally caught my eye. It looks exquisite -- fancy, delicious, and definitely a must-try for anyone who's a foodie or likes a little adventure when dining out. Their menu has evolved so much since they first opened -- from just a few simple dishes to a wide variety of extraordinary, creative, and beautifully presented options. They still serve the classics like Bún Bò Huế and Phở, which are comforting and authentic, but they've also added more unique dishes like the soft shell crab rice in a stone pot -- absolutely amazing in both presentation and taste. Best of all, this spot is only a 5-minute drive from me, so you can bet I'll be visiting often. Saigon Bistro is definitely a local gem that keeps getting better and better!

Braised Beef Stew (Bo Kho) and Crabcake Noodle Soup (Bun Rieu)

I go here once again! Service and ambiance the same as usual -- great and no complaints. The Bo Kho was okay. The carrots weren't fully cooked in my opinion (it was too crunchy instead of being soft and absorbed of the stew). The bun rieu was also okay. It was good but was hoping for more crabmeat.

I'm not a pho person at all but Saigon Bistro is the place to go! I had a bit of a sniffle and wanted to get some spicy broth so I came over to Saigon and they were booked and busy! The overall place was gorgeous and the owners were very hospitable. My mom got the chicken pho and I got the spicy lemon grass pho with a beef rib in it and it was really good and light. Not overwhelming in flavor or acidic due to spice it was all perfectly balanced. We also ordered crispy egg rolls and they were really good and packed with minced pork and veggies. I will def come back and make a reservation next time because they also had 3 big party reservations and I ca. definitely see why. Also the price was decent.

Grand opening on Aug 2- a new re-branded spot opened in the plaza. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambience of the place- very clean, classy, wide, and accomodating for groups and families! The service was wonderful, too. Food: Bone in pho 7/10. The broth hit the spot and the meat was so soft and juicy! Shaking beef 8/10. Portion is pretty good, beef seasoning was great, the pairing was great with the onions and tomatoes. Would get this again! Can't wait to return to try some other dishes, too.

Beef Banana Flower Salad (Goi Bo)

Got takeout for lunch. Easy ordering online and food was ready when we arrived. I ordered the cha gio (fried spring rolls) and the gio Bo (beef banana flower salad) I enjoy cha gio with the rice paper so really enjoyed this. Never had the beef banana flower salad so had to try it....it was so good. It was such a nice combination of spicy, sweet, and salty. I would definitely get this again.

Came in on a weekday to get carry-out to bring home for dinner later in the evening. Service here was great; very friendly and helpful. Their menu has all the Viet-favs, including Pho, which is what I wanted. I got 3 Pho Ga and an extra broth and asked for the onions to be separated, as I love them, but a family member doesn't. Everything was packed perfectly and made to travel. We quickly heated it all up later at dinnertime and it came together perfectly. The ingredients, veggies, and broth were all very fresh. The broth was incredibly tasty! It had a slight heat to the spice level, which is a welcome addition to the star anise flavors were usually used to. The chicken wasn't thinly sliced, rather it was pulled and it was also perfect for eating in a soup! The sizes were great, not too chunky and tough.... It was also nicely tender! Overall, we've tried many Pho places in Northern VA and so far this is our favorite! Definitely will return!!

Pork Sausage Spring Rolls (nem nuong cuon)
    Aya F.

Saw that this place took over the last establishment and tried them out during their soft opening. The inside is very well decorated. Feels more elegant than the previous establishment. Service was good. Plenty of tables and booths. Seems good for groups. We had the nem nuong con, shaky beef, and Saigon platter. We enjoyed all the dishes. Would go back to try their noodle soups and pho.

Came to Saigon Bistro with my parents. If you can impress the old school Vietnamese then it's decent. So our server cool dude but a bit too chill why are you sitting down like you know is taking out order but I am to sure if you are going to remember our order since you have no notepad or toast device. Second if you're going to correct and confirm our order either choose to do it in Vietnamese or English and stop the vinglish. Sorry it rubbed me the wrong way and I'm usually pretty tolerant but that was just odd for me . Dishes are as follows: +Nem Nuong Cuon - Pork Sausage Spring Rolls + Goi Ga(Coriander Chicken Salad +Bun Rieu -Crabcake Noodle Soup + Muc Rang Muoi-Salt and Pepper Calamari + Bo Ne -Steak & Eggs +Bo Luc Lac -Shaking Beef mom ordered bun rieu it because they ran out of Banh Xeo... um how do you run out ? I've never heard that before . So here the dish breakdown +Nem Nuong Cuon - Pork Sausage Spring Rolls -recent sized rolls but $13??? And a tiny bit of sauce. -sauce was a bit thin compared to what I'm used but still gave me the overall flavor associated with with this roll specifically + Goi Ga(Coriander Chicken Salad -a bit bland for me not really full on flavor. It was just okay. +Bun Rieu -Crabcake Noodle Soup - didn't taste it but mom wasn't too convinced by this one for her . I did taste the Rieu which was more of a shrimp meatball vibe. If you like that seafood flavor versus the pork flavor overpowering. + Muc Rang Muoi-Salt and Pepper Calamari -it's decent if you like a heavier batter I'm used to a lighter airy coating where you don't have to fight your squid. A bit tough and not al dente. It wasn't easy to bite into and it was served with sweet chili sauce. It's fine everyone loves sweet chili but I prefer the salt & pepper lime version. + Bo Ne -Steak & Eggs -well it was sizzling versus the last time I had Bo ne at another place in Eden center. (IYKYK) fish was a bit salty for me I didn't even use the sauce on the side. The beef a bit tough for me. Since these are cubes of beef rather than thin slices of beef I prefer mine medium. Although I'm pretty sure that these are the same beef that was in the Bo Luc Lac. Bread was the soft pillowy kind and nice toasted good crumb but bland. Let's call it average bread. +Bo Luc Lac -Shaking Beef -after having Bo Ne and then having these cubes of beef this one was a tad bit sweeter. I mean the veggies on this dish were massively needed with my Bo ne. Cause man was that salty. This shaky beef was okay again beef was well done cooked and not medium so it was a bit tough. Overall: So it was average to my parents would they go back? I think if we are in chantilly and want to get Vietnamese food and I don't mind splurging on this is the place. However being so close to Eden Center and other varied places the price point is just too high and yes there is quality but if the execution of the dish is teetering in flavor I cannot justify paying the price for quality food ingredients with decent execution. I'm picky with Vietnamese food because there is a specific profile for dishes which makes the specific dish unique.

Salt & pepper tofu - yummy!

It was disheartening to read the low reviews that some have left of this place, because I can assure you they are not representative at all of this restaurant. Everything from the food down to the ambiance of the restaurant is 10/10. It's decently sized and a great place to bring friends or family who have not tried this unique Asian cuisine. There was a burger and chips option but when I requested it they told me that just don't have it. No reason why. They don't have plastic cups for kids either. We ended up getting the beef noodle soup, a noodle dish with beef and a few lamb and chicken kebabs. The beef noodle soup had no flavor / it tasted like water with chillies. The beef noodles were over cooked and needed salt or something. The lamb kebabs were chewy and the chicken kebabs were way too spicy. The wait time for the food took 30 minutes and while I am pretty patient - it was not worth the wait. The servers were non- existent and I had to constantly ask for napkins, water, take away boxes. The only time I saw them Was when I called them to order and then called to pay. They should not work in the service industry as a smile goes along way but clearly they hate customers. There was just no attempt to be nice at all and they were not very accommodating with questions. Let me not even get started on the bathroom. It was dirty and there was no loo paper. Give this place a skip. It's just not worth the time and the money you will spend there.

We also let the waiter know that we have a vegetarian in the group and he let us know he was pescatarian and gave us his recommendations. We ordered the miso mushroom udon pasta, which came with fish flakes on top. We asked for it to be re-made without fish flakes and he apologized. In terms of the food overall, the portions were small for the price. The tofu curry came with 4 pieces of fried tofu and a small portion of rice and curry. It was also kinda bland, but was fixed with sauces on the side. There was a good amount of vegetables in the curry though. The pork tonkatsu appetizer and cucumber salad did taste flavorful and were crispy, would recommend. They paired well with the sauces that came on the side as well. The mushroom miso udon was different. The sauce was creamy and umami but needed some spice. Overall, the food isn't really conducive to vegetarians, but the ambiance and vibe are nice for a happy hour.

The pork belly was very good and this dish also came with banchan and broth. We also ordered the Spicy Baby Octopus. It wasn't super spicy but it had a very delicious sauce.
