This was my first Thai massage and I've always joked about needing a small child to walk on my back but I may have to retract my statement after this experience because I don't want anyone walking on my back. All I can say is I did not expect a full sized adult to actually walk on my back, I didn't know what I was expecting to be honest. But the pressure on my back was too much and it was painful. The massage therapists here are so amazing and knowledgeable about pressure points and Thai Massage. One tip - if you don't know what a Thai Massage is, look it up before coming here! This isn't your typical gentle Swedish rub down - it's a bit more intense in terms of stretching and pressure points. They'll also walk on your back and crack your back/neck. I have this fear of getting wrecked by massage therapists due to my past experiences but these ladies were great. The table was warm. You have to wear a mask for the entire time. I had Julie and she started off pressing around my body and stretching me a little. She climbed on my back too. I was hoping that she would walk on me but that didn't happen (only because I've never had that before). Then she did more swedish massage with oil on my back, legs, arms, and shoulder. There was hot stone on my back and legs as well. When I flipped over, she worked on the top parts of my body and stretched me at the end. She also massages my head which I looooove. She used hot towels every time she used oil on my body. I will 100% come back. My boyfriend said JJ was great. He thought the bed was a little warm but honestly, I prefer a warm room than a cold room. I would highly recommend. I used to go routinely for massages pre-pandemic for my chronic upper back/neck pain, but due to COVID-19 I stopped going. I finally broke down and decided to get a massage since no amount of biofeeeze or bengay was able to keep my neck pain and tension headaches at bay. I decided to try Thai Wellness after reading some of the reviews and I am so glad I did! I had an excellent experience. My massage therapist was professional and focused on all of the areas that I had mentioned were a source of discomfort. The pressure was a perfect balance between working out all the knots while simultaneously putting me to sleep. The scalp massage at the end was everything I didn't even know I needed. After the massage was over I was looking for my hair tie which she carefully removed to perform the scalp massage and I didn't even realize she had placed it back on my wrist while she massaged my arms and hands, so clever! The environment was also very clean and masks were required at all times, which made me feel more comfortable. Upon checking out I was offered water (room temp or cold) and my massage therapist went above and beyond and used a tissue to hand it to me to reduce contact, amazing!!!I cannot say enough good things about this place and I can't wait to go back. I decided to schedule a visit for a massage and Thai Wellness is nearby so I gave it a try. WONDERFUL experience! I get migraines, head, neck, and shoulder pain so the right "touch" matters. I made the appointment this morning when I felt fine (no head pain). By the time the appointment rolled around I was starting to get shoulder/neck pain which usually creeps up towards my ears and head (headache/migraine sign). I almost cancelled because usually a massage makes things worse. I couldn't have been more pleased. Lin (sp?) was my massage therapist and I asked her to "go-easy" and told her a bit about the pain areas. No walking on my back or deep tissue massage for me! She used just the right pressure.
