Well my coworkers and I finally decided to try this place out. We have been eyeing since they were renovating the place after taking over from a previous tenant that was here. The foos is amazing! Very delicious. I highly recommending the trying the appetizers out. The brussels sprouts were my favorite and had the best flavor I have ever. The pork belly appetizer was fried and tender. The sauce is perfect touch with the pork belly. The goyza with pork is another appetizer we tried and I highly recommend. All of our entrees we very delicious and well prepared. Pricing can be expensive for a lunch, but they do offer lunch specials. Service is perfect and I loved how our waitress ask us for our opinions for everything. They want the feedback for sure on the food they are preparing for you. Parking is available in the parking garage behind them or you can park in front or across the street. Going into Austin for a concert, I was super excited to finally get to try this place. I had wanted to go the last time I came to Austin, but an impromptu lunch with friends sadly foiled those plans. I was super impressed from the get go, the server was exceptionally hospitable and was super helpful in making sure I ordered within my dietary restrictions. I decided to order the tom kha soup and was recommended the panang curry so I went with that as well. And while I usually don't care too much about presentation and stake myself firmly in the "taste is king" camp, I was extremely impressed by the presentation of both of my dishes. In discovering the taste though our journey sadly takes a very abrupt turn south. The tom kha soup was mostly fine but still definitely pretty underwhelming overall. My main and most damning critique is that it just lacked any taste of lime. I decided to check the menu and saw that lime wasn't listed as an ingredient, but from both personal experience trying tom kha at nearly every Thai restaurant I've been to and the bit of due diligence I did before writing this review, I've personally never seen a tom kha without lime before. I will say, even without the lime, the broth still tasted pretty good and had the richness of the coconut I was looking for, but without the lime it lacked the signature combo that makes tom kha so legendary to me. Another issue is that the vegetables and tofu felt quite out of place and did not mesh well with the dish at all. They were cooked and tasted fine, but in the case of the broccoli especially, it just completely took me out of the dish and often completely overshadowed the broth. While this section has been mostly negative, I still mostly enjoyed it but probably wouldn't order it again. The panang on the other hand was extremely disappointing. Ironically, my critiques and praises ended up flipped across the board from my thoughts about the tom kha. The curry just lacked the expected delicious richness present in Thai curries, and was plagued by a pepper aftertaste which soured the meager amount of richness that was actually present. The vegetables were undoubtedly the best part, as they single-handedly carried any and all bites were they a part of. The tofu also was quite good but it couldn't reach its full potential because of the shortcomings of the curry's base. I can easily picture a world where the vegetables and tofu are able to compliment a better base and shine but sadly that wasn't the case here. As negative as my review and feelings are towards my food, I'm still definitely tempted to give this place another shot. It's absolutely possible they just had an off day, and the potential is definitely very apparent if not fully realized. read more

Ordered some takeout from Thai Zen and overall, it was really good. We tried one of the fried rice dishes with tofu (cant recall exactly which one), the pad kee maow with tofu (so goooood!), and the cheese rolls (too much cream cheese for my liking but still tasty). Our dishes were great and I loved that we were able to pick our own spice levels. However, be warned because they very generous with their spice. I got the second spiciest option and it had me sweating a bit! I'll def be back to dine in! read more

4.6/5 We got both Thai and sushi dishes to try. The A5 Wagyu and toro roll was great, fish was fatty and tasted quite fresh. However, there was too much ponzu sauce that if I didn't eat the sushi right away, the pieces can get too soaked in the sauce. The other roll was called Saffron Zen, there was supposed to be lobster in there but I didn't taste much of it. It wasn't memorable enough for me, the garnishes could've had more flavor. My favorite was definitely the Panang curry! It was rich, creamy and coconutty. The mango sticky rice had great flavor and mango was very sweet which I liked. Got take out for the first time and it was excellent. Finally some good pad Thai in this neighborhood! The pad see ew was good too but the pad Thai had the best flavor. Vietnamese coffee was good too. Will definitely order again. read more

I'm not going to go any spicier than that, but for those of you ready for a big hit this might be a good place. Run, don't walk to this beautiful restaurant. Evidently has only been open since April 2026, but you never know it from how smoothly everything runs and the quality of the offerings. Located about a block north of Riverside Drive just east of Highway 35, this slightly hidden restaurant is well worth seeking out. They have an extensive menu of sushi, sashimi, and Thai appetizers, soups, and entrées. The restaurant advertises itself as Japanese Thai fusion. It has few parking places in the front, and a super close parking garage immediately to the rear. It is handicap accessible. We tried three appetizers, two different beverages, a soup, and two entrées. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Best of all, the service was stellar. We did go early afternoon on a Saturday after the lunch rush, which helped guarantee a more personalized experience. The fried eggrolls were fresh and delicious, served with sauce in a charming heart-shaped bowl. The pork belly was mind-blowingly good. It had been fried in a crust, topped with slivers of fried garlic, served with a spicy sauce, and also beautifully presented. The pork gyoza was fresh and tasty. The Tom Kha (soup) was perhaps the best I have ever tasted. Exquisite balance between the lemon grass, coconut, and shallots. They also allowed us to choose the protein. We have always had it with chicken, so were very happy to try it with the shaved pork. Tasty! Lastly, we had the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai. Excellent noodles, decent amount of meat, crispy veggies. We liked that the bean sprouts were served on the side so they remained fresh. Amazing service. Our drinks never ran out, empty dishes were whisked away, and our waitstaff was charmingly nice to our eldest guest. Delicious food, plenty of it, and such a pleasant experience. We will be back, and we hope you will visit and help keep this place in business a long time. They deserve Austin's support. read more

This review is strictly for the crab fried rice. First I will say the place is nice and clean and the staff is nice! But the crab fried rice was full of shell. I mean literally every bite I'm spitting out half of it because there's shells. It's to be expected do a few here and there but it's just too many. On the bright side they didn't skimp on the amount of crab. I would go back but maybe try something else. read more
