We were craving Thai food on a Sunday after a night out and did not want to drive too far, so we decided to try this place. As soon as we walked in, we noticed the smell in the restaurant was pretty unpleasant, but we were hungry and still decided to order. We got the pad see ew, fried rice, and panang curry. The pad see ew was honestly amazing. The noodles had a really nice chewy texture and the flavor was spot on just like how I like it on the streets of Bangkok. Unfortunately, the fried rice and panang curry were both really disappointing. They tasted bland, watery, and just did not meet expectations at all. Between the inconsistent food and the smell inside the restaurant, I probably would not come back.

Fav Thai spot in Austin! Authentic flavors and hits every time. Great for late night too

Pretty solid thai food. Was exploring southwest austin when we stumbled upon this little place. Here is my review! Food: Khao Soi : 10/10. I think this was the dish that stood out the most. It was rich, had great flavors and everything in the soup went well together. Definitely a must try. The portion size was huge too. Tofu curry: 8/10. Was good. But there was no veggies other than basil in there! Flavor was on point though. Other noodle dish( may have been pad see ew): Good but also needed more veggies. Not sure why there were only brocoli stems instead of just brocoli. Overall, ambiance was great and service was very friendly. I suggest adding a few more veggies into your dishes though!

Street pad Thai - 1-5 customizable spice but 1 is spicy rather than mild. Really good.

It is impossible to find a plate of noodles THIS large with a price this reasonable. It was impressive in both size and flavor. That is all. Would return.

I've been wanting to try sap's for a while now and hit it up on a Saturday evening. As expected, they were packed but we were seated immediately. Ambiance is okay, nothing to write home about but clean. Now, the service is my biggest complaint. We asked for a side plate, and a glass of warm water. These are pretty easy to accommodate but we received none and overall service was lackluster. Food wise, ordered the khao soi and green curry. Green curry was average, I've had better and it lacked flavor. The khao soi was fantastic, a rich, spicy broth that made the dish. This dish itself is a 10/10....but we found a piece of foil in it. They didn't charge us once we told them about the foil but I am hesitant to come based on my overall experience.

The menu here is overwhelmingly large. The food itself was pretty decent and flavorful. Pretty large portions too. Our server was nice.

Sap's Ver Fine Thai Cuisine is my go-to Thai restaurant for both dine in and take out. They have a wide variety of menu options including family favorites like pad see ew, crab fried rice, noodle soups and stir frys, alongside low-fat and gluten-free items. They offer authentic Thai dishes made with fresh herbs and quality ingredients. Usually I place my to-go order over the phone and it is usually ready before the pick-up time. The restaurant is bright and fun with colorful umbrellas decorating the ceiling. Whether you get the food to-go or eat in the restaurant, you are in for a consistent experience with food and service. My go-to's: *F3 Pad Sea-Ew - Flat rice noodle or vermicelli rice noodle stir-fried with your choice of protein, Chinese broccoli and egg in special mixed soy sauce. I add chicken. *P6 Fried rice - Stir-fried rice with peas and carrot, with mix soy sauce, and side of cucumber. You can choose your protein and I have had it with chicken, beef, tofu and crab. All good choices. *P19 Rice Soup - Home-made rice soup in chicken broth with your choice of meat topped with green onion and cilantro. I add tofu. *D1 Sticky Rice with Mango My step-mom is from Thailand, so I know my Thai food and this place never disappoints. It is authentic Thai food and anything I have ordered here has been delicious, but you have to watch out for the spice because Thai food can be really hot!!!

I love Saps! It's my second favorite Thai spot (after Super Thai!) my comfort order to go was: Saps Wings (5 pieces) priced at $8 and I went with the Waterfall dry rub seasoning with kaffir lime leaves & tangy tamarind. Meing Kum ($11)wraps which is essentially lettuce pieces with dried shrimp, peanuts, small lime pieces, coconut honey sauce (very spicy!!!) and onions. For my main dish I got the Panama curry ($14) with white rice, and chicken. I loved the wings! The seasoning is always tangy, fresh and the wings fried to perfection. The lettuce wraps are just okay. This was my first time trying these! They're expensive for what it is, it's surprising how it costs more than the wings! They also included onions in my order when I have an allergy to onions and peanuts were missing. I think the nuts would have added a nice crunch. I usually order their beef fried rice so trying the curry here was new for me as well. I enjoyed the spice but it was a bit bland. I wish it came with more veggies in it and a larger portion size. All in all the curry was good but left me hungry. My favorite bites are: the wings, saps rolls, crab ragoons and beef fried rice! Can't go wrong with those.

I am a bit of a creature of habit; every time I go to Regal Westgate cinema for an evening movie, I go to Sap's afterwards. And I usually get the same thing: fried tofu. I choose this appetizer because it's late and I don't want to eat too much before bed. But the fried tofu is just what I need and perfect for a late night snack. For only $7.50, you get six pieces of fried tofu, served with sweet & sour sauce and ground roasted peanuts. The sauce is so sweet and savory, good enough to eat on it's own. Service is somewhat fast, considering that the restaurant is always full and there is only one server per room. No complaints! The decor is lovely and not overdone; the ceiling is covered with colorful hanging umbrellas.

Best Thai food in all of Texas. No contests. Always fresh always delicious. I have tried every dish and each one as yummy as the next. The owner is an austin treasure and could write a book on his incredible life and journey to get this amazing restaurant started. Love this place, the food and the atmosphere.

Honestly way too overhyped. Got the Yum Nuer salad and Thai tea and the drink was good, but the salad was ok... Their chicken to be fair is nice and tender but the dishes are so plain! The reason why the food is so good is because of the Thai flavors.. not because they make good dishes. And not to mention, all the reviews about how it's not well maintained are RIGHT! Had flies swarming all over my food and my friend's plastic cup had LIPSTICK STAINS ON IT... Definitely not planning on coming back ever. I also was missing the tomatoes on my salad that's supposed to only have 4 ingredients so idk what that was about.

I have been wanting to try Sap's for so long and I'm so glad I finally did! Me and my friend both loved the food here. I got the Sap's special panang beef curry and oh my gosh it was so good. The beef is slow cooked and you could definitely tell with how tender it was. The curry itself had so much flavor and depth. My friend got the chicken masman curry and she really enjoyed it as well. If you don't like coconut I would not recommend it because you could taste the coconut milk in the sauce. We also shared some crab rangoons and they were good as well. I wish they were either a little bit bigger or came with more than 4 though. The service here was great, our server was very nice and gave great recommendations and our food came out pretty fast. Looking forward to coming back!

Service/ambiance: There's plenty of parking but the surrounding area is a bit sketchy, especially at night. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful and our service was pretty quick. Food: I enjoyed the chicken pad kee mao and it was very reasonably priced at $13! My friend liked her Khao soi, but she said it was a bit salty. I wouldn't order the fried calamari again, because the coating was a little bit off and seemed more like onion rings. Would definitely come again for a quick and inexpensive meal!

The menu is pretty extensive too, so it was easy for everyone to find something they were excited about. I had the Tum Tad salad, which was super fresh and flavorful with a nice balance of tangy and savory. For dessert, the mango sticky rice was a standout. It was made with a black rice that actually looked kind of blue, which made it really visually fun. Not totally sure if there was some ube mixed in or just the natural color, but either way it was delicious and a little different from the usual version.

The restaurant itself has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a bar. It seems like a nice place to have a meal. As for the food, we ordered: Pad thai with chicken, mild spice - unfortunately this was a bit dry for me, though the taste was good. Pad see ew with chicken - I liked their version and would probably get it again. Pad woon sen with pork - typically my favorite noodle dish and I think they did a good job. Garden roll - good but not as packed as others I've had, and at a higher price point. Pineapple fried rice with pork - I liked this but was a bit on the oily side. Tom kha soup - I thought this was very good and had a decent amount of chicken and mushrooms Overall I liked everything but some items I felt I had better versions of elsewhere. It's also on the pricier side. Still, if in central Austin I think it's a solid choice for Thai food.

It paired well with the noodles. * khảo soi: 3/5 I watched a documentary about this dish and was so excited to see it was available at Kiin Di! When we first received the dish, it was super salty so we advised our waitress we couldn't eat it because it was overly salty. She was very kind and took it back. She asked us if we would like to replace that dish. We asked for pad Thai. Later she brought out the Kháo soi redone and said it was on the house and ask for our feedback. She apologize and informed us the sauce had reduced down too low and that is why it was salty. She asked us to try it and let her know. It was less salty but the more we ate the more it got salter. It was definitely creamier and less salty but it's still salty. Not overwhelming salt like the first but ate salty with each bit. We really appreciate her being so open and appreciative for feedback. Although the dish was too salty for our preference... we appreciate the effort and courtesy to make it right. That shows an adaptive and hard working business that values feedback and that is a marksmanship of a business will thrive with lifetime customers. * 2 Thai teas : 3/5 We had ask for a lot of Thai Tea and less milk but the Thai tea was still very milky. We wish the Thai Tea was bolder and stronger in flavor. * chicken wings with spicy tamarind sauce: 5/5 highly recommended dish! There is not many places in Austin that has this spicy tamarind chicken wing that I can find. A rare dish and an outstanding one! Salty Sour Sweet Mild Spicy Unami AND CRAVEABLE! Chicken was juicy and cripsy on the outside despite being toss in the sauce. We devoured the 5 wings and regretted we finished it all because we wanted more! These delicious wings are going to definitely be on my mind just thinking of it now is making my mouth water..... so good! !! If you love tamarind it's a must try! * mussels: 1/5: we were wondering why the mussels didn't have any Yelp pictures for Kiin Di but we may have found out why. The mussels are presented beautifully. The presentation was great and we were excited to dig in. Unfortunately the mussel ran very salty and the mussels were very very tiny. The shell was average size but I think the mussels were overly cooked. The mussels absorb the salty sauce so we couldn't eat many. We felt bad for sending back one dish so we didn't want to send back a second dish again. * tofu pad Thai: 5/5 I never thought I would ever say this because I Love 1618 Asian Fusion cripsy pad Thai so much that no other pad Thai had ever compared to theirs... but Kiin Di pad Thai definitely rank the best regular pad Thai I had (without the cripsy). The favors were so well balanced of salty , mild spicy , sour. The noodles were chewy and springy! I love the texture and this dish is so so craveable too! We got tofu but next time we will get the chicken. The tofu ran a bit sour thus why we will get chicken next time. The flavors explode in your mouth. Like wow! Highly recommend this dish! It wasn't spicy for all the non spicy eaters. Note if there's any dish can't eat spicy, you can let your waitress know and they can adjust the spicy level for you. The staff is very attentive. Do I recommend this place? Absolutely! The best pad Thai in Austin. We can't wait to come back to get the tamarind wings and pad Thai along with trying their other dishes. There is free parking on Sundays. We went on Sunday at 12:30 pm and were seated but this restaurant filled up pretty fast after we were seated. Service is 5 stars. Absolute gem for authentic Thai food. They had other dishes I've never seen at other Thai restaurants we been to which sets them a part.
