Thaiger Den is an upscale Thai restaurant. It has a fun, chic and modern atmosphere, and the service is absolutely impeccable. Without a reservation, the wait was about an hour on a Saturday night, but it was so worth it. The Thai tea was one of the best I've ever had not overly sweet and topped with a milk cold foam giving it a rich and creamy texture. The Massaman Pot Pie was both unique and comforting. The crust was crispy and flaky, and the beef and vegetables inside were savory and full of flavor. The steak Pad Thai took a bit longer to arrive but when it did, the steak, which we ordered medium rare was well done. Our server offered to replace it, but since my daughter was tired and hungry, we decided to keep it. As a kind gesture, they brought us a complimentary Thai Tea Panna Cotta for dessert. It was silky, lightly sweet, and the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. Highly recommend, just be sure to make a reservation ahead of time.

Appetizers (10/10): I really appreciated the free appetizers! The crispy pasta was delicious. The fruit salad was also very refreshing. Beef Tongue (7/10): This dish was overshadowed by the other superstars we ordered, but it wasn't bad. The beef tongue itself was pretty boring, but the sauces made it come to life. Berkshire Pork Cheek (9/10): The pork cheek was delicious. The veggies were also equally good! I loved the cauliflower and asparagus. The sauce was really good, too. Golden Fried Pork Belly over Krapow Rice (10/10): The crispy pork belly is so good!!!! I loved the fried basil too. The rice has a nice kick to it. Khao Soi (9/10): We got this with flatiron steak, which was super good. Very, very tender. Noodles were great. Crispy parts were great. Curry was great. Highly recommend! Mango Sticky Rice (10/10): Mango was tender and sweet. Sticky rice was cooked perfectly. The ice cream and whipped cream also complemented the dish so well. We came on a Sunday night and it wasn't crowded at all. Service was very good. Prices are expensive, but I'd say it's worth it

This restaurant is SO cute!!! They have an adorable waiting area and such a fun tiger theme. Our waitress was so helpful and kind. The dishes were really yummy, and even though I'm not a fan of spice, my friends who ordered spicy food said it was so good. The golden pork belly was sooo delicious although the dish was very salty overall. They also had plenty of Veg options. We ordered the fake calamari which were actually fried coconut chips. I also got to try the thai tea which had a fun foam on top. It was very aesthetically pleasing and tasted very sweet, which I love from thai tea.

Thaiger Den has gotten glowing praise since opening, and I can validate now that it is worth all the praise and doting that it has been receiving. My only regret is that it took us so long to get there to try it out. The first difference between TDen and some of the other highly touted Thai restaurants is the location. It's a bit out of the bustle of Boston/Somerville/Cambridge, which can feel like it has been a bit forgotten by the critics and blogs. However, the richness of the decor and menu shows that it falls more into the neighborhood gem that is well worth the trip to experience what I've been told is a true and authentic Thai experience (never been, and not Thai myself). The next is there are a number of dishes that I have never seen on the Thai restaurants that I frequent, so there is a deeper offering of the various regional dishes offered throughout the country. But depth or number of offerings/dishes doesn't make somewhere great... your average TexMex place shows that. Everything here is perfectly executed without overuse of oil or seasoning that makes the dish inedible, which can be the case when dealing with a spicy cuisine like Thai can be. So you can have confidence when you order something from the menu it will be as described (spicy or not) and amazingly executed. All of this is all for naught if service is crap, but the service is amazing. It falls somewhere between smothering and average, as if the server knows exactly when you need something or to follow up. This is indeed an art vs. a science, and they have crafted experts in the field. TDen is an establishment that should remain to be added to your rotation or list of places to visit for all the reasons above, but there is also the point of the value proposition that makes it feel like a higher end eatery than the price point. If you are a fan of Thai cuisine, TDen must be experienced sooner rather than later.

I love this new spot in Malden! Although its an upscale restaurant, the food here is fairly priced for the quality and portion size. The dishes are family style and can be shared among multiple people. Every dish was very tasty and unique. The star of the show was definitely the RIBEYE STEAK. It comes out smoked and it was cooked a perfect medium rare. I love the seasoning on it and the sauce on the side goes so well with the steak and the veggies. The IRON STEAK PAD THAI was so flavorful and its a very good pad thai because it was not greasy and the sauce was evenly mixed into all the noodles. The PORK CHEEK was also a surprising favorite! It was so rich and smooth and I really enjoyed it. I think its my first time having pork cheek and it didn't disappoint! Overall, every item we tried was so so good. Everything came out at a good timing, beautifully presented, and very tasty. Great service, great ambiance, and a very casual but upscale restaurant. I will definitely come back for the ribeye steak!

I'm a huge fan of Thai food, but I usually go for more casual spots that do takeout or quick lunches. This time, my friend and I decided to shake things up with more of an upscale Thai dinner. Overall, I was really impressed. The service was noticeably great (which is something I say about very few places in Boston) and the decor was fantastic. Food wise, I really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. Everything had great flavor to it and the meat and vegetables were cooked nicely. I'd be happy to try out Crying Thaiger as well!

Loved the decor, the service was great, and the food was good! So many dishes on the menu looked great, so I'll definitely be back to try more. Of all the things I ordered, my recommendation for others would be the Roasted Curry Flat Iron Steak...10/10! I've had more expensive steaks at steakhouses that weren't as tender and flavorful as that was. That dish is definitely something that can't be replicated at home.

An amazing, elevated Thai dining experience! We made reservations online a week prior. The interior is well decorated and elegant compared to your everyday Thai restaurant. The servers were also great, recommending dishes and thoroughly explaining their extensive menu. We ordered the following dishes: -Roasted Tomato Relish (Nam Prik): Delicious and a great, crunchy starter. The tomato dip was nicely smoky and spicy. -Sous Vide Beef Tongue: So tender! Would highly recommend if you like beef tongue. -Roasted Curry with Flat Iron Steak: Very flavorful and deliciously paired with the accompanying berry rice. The steak itself is okay but the spinach curry is a show stopper. -Khao Soi with Beef Shank: Beautiful, al dente noodles complemented by a savory, coconuty broth. The beef shank is also a nice addition and very soft. -Steamed Branzino: Spicy and well seasoned but slightly overcooked. -Mango Sticky Rice: Loved the butterfly pea flower infused sticky rice. Mangos were ripe and the coconut ice cream was great. Parking was a little tough on a Sunday evening. There is plenty of street parking nearby but that area gets busy. We can't wait to return and try the other things on their menu!

Took me a while to finally get the chance to come here! The vibes is the biggest seller of this spot- moody lights and cozy perfect for a date night or night out. We ordered many dishes for the table that some were better than others. The mains definitely impressed us more than the small plates/appetizers. Could skip on the wings and the sharing plate. Everything else was cool very well and super flavorful. It didn't blow us away but everything was cooked well and was tasty!

What a beautiful restaurant. The decor was great and the service to match. It was pretty busy for a chilly Wednesday dinner night. I recommend having reservations! Let's chat food! Tom yum, pork belly app, pad kra pao & mango sticky rice were my favorite dishes! I wasn't too impressed with their pad Thai. The slabs of chicken threw me off to be completely honest with you. However, I did enjoy the fact that the peanuts & bean sprouts weren't already mixed in. Fried chicken was plain but the sauce on the side was nice and flavorful. Overall a good experience. Will be back!

3.5 stars This restaurant was very nice, definitely a little more upscale than I was originally expecting. Decor was thoughtful and bathrooms were clean. The food itself was certainly on the more expensive side, and we enjoyed the main dishes we ordered. Would skip the pineapple appetizer - was difficult to eat in one bite and eating the components separately was a bit weird. We didn't drink this time around but would love to come back to try some of their cocktails.

Thaiger Den - Malden's New Must-Visit Thai Spot Thaiger Den - 157 Pleasant St, Malden, MA 02148 Malden just got a serious upgrade in the Thai food scene with Thaiger Den, a modern and inviting restaurant offering elevated Thai cuisine with high-quality ingredients and bold flavors. From sizzling lava stones to beautifully plated classics, the experience here is just as exciting as the food itself. Starters ‍ Sous Vide Beef Tongue (8/10) This dish is all about texture--tender, smoky, and perfectly grilled after an 18-hour sous vide process. While the beef tongue itself was excellent, I wasn't as much of a fan of the accompanying Jaew sauce and tomato relish--I wish I had saved some of these pieces to pair with the Wagyu sauces instead. Still, a well-executed dish that's worth trying. Golden Fried Pork Belly (GF) (9/10) Juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside--this was an easy 9/10. The pork belly was fried to perfection and paired with a sweet chili sauce that complemented it beautifully. A fantastic shareable appetizer that's indulgent yet balanced. Main Dishes A5 Wagyu Steak (8/10) Cooking A5 Miyazaki Wagyu on a sizzling lava stone is an experience in itself! The homemade Thai chimichurri was the standout here--bright, herby, and packed with umami. However, the vegetables were undercooked and felt like an afterthought. The dish could also use more sides to justify the $45 price tag. While the Wagyu was delicious, I've had better, so while this is fun for the experience, I wouldn't say it's the best Wagyu around. Khao Soi (SS) (GF) (V) (10/10) This is the dish I would come back for. The creamy coconut curry broth was rich, aromatic, and incredibly satisfying. The sous vide chicken was hands down the juiciest chicken I've had. For $21, this is a super filling meal and a must-try for Thai food lovers. Flat Iron Steak Pad Thai (GF) (9/10) I actually preferred the flat iron steak over the Wagyu--juicy, well-seasoned, and the perfect pairing for the wok-fried Pad Thai noodles. The balance of tamarind, shrimp tomalley, and palm sugar created a bold yet comforting dish. A well-executed take on a Thai classic! Dessert Mango Sticky Rice (V) (GF) (9/10) A beautiful take on the traditional mango sticky rice! The butterfly pea flower-infused rice made for a stunning presentation, and the coconut milk and ice cream took it to the next level. A perfect way to end the meal! Final Thoughts Food: 9/10 - Every dish had something unique to offer, and the flavors were bold, authentic, and well-executed. The Khao Soi and Flat Iron Steak Pad Thai were the biggest standouts.* Ambiance: 7/10 - The wooden decor and warm, inviting atmosphere made for a great dining experience. Affordability: 6/10 - On the pricier side, but for certain dishes (like the Khao Soi and Pad Thai), well worth it. The Wagyu felt a bit steep given the portion and undercooked vegetables. Overall: 9/10 - Thaiger Den is a must-visit for Thai food lovers looking for high-quality, flavorful dishes in Malden. Whether you're here for a fun interactive meal or a comforting bowl of noodles, this spot delivers!

Loved the ambiance, decor, the bathroom (lols), service, presentation, and most importantly the food! I've always been a fan of Crying Thiager in Malden and have been wanting to try out this new sister restaurant for months. Thaiger Den presents itself as an upscale modern Thai restaurant and a lot of the items on their menu are partially sous vide, torched, or grilled on charcoal. They also use a lot of superior ingredients on their menu like A5 Waygu, tiger shrimp, jumbo prawns, pork cheek, and tomalley. Most entrees on the menu were $20-30 which isn't bad at all considering the ingredients they were using and the experience. If there's a *MUST* order dish that i think you should get here, it is their "Den Pad Thai". They make their pad thai with shrimp tomalley and it makes a huge difference! I personally love shrimp so i was very happy with the subtle shirmp notes in each bite. Their Pad Thai also comes with a charcoal grilled jumbo prawn and it was amazing! I usually don't care much for Pad Thai but i really enjoyed it here. The restaurant is located a few minutes walk from Malden Center Station on the Orange line. There is also street parking right outside the restaurant or you can park at the Jackson Street Municipal Garage Lot for $2 an hour (a quick 2 minutes walk from the restaurant).

We loved the basil fried rice with chicken also. Flavorful & had a nice kick. Chicken was not dry either! The chicken laarb was addictive to eat. It had the right amount of citrus & spice. Generous portion too! Nampla wings reminded me of nuoc mam/Vietnamese fish sauce wings. I personally found the wings to be a bit dry but the sauce it came with really helped. Good flavor though.
