    Beef Noodles Soup

rice passions favorite pho spot in boston great customer service and delicious food especially the beef noodle soup!! definitely would recommend to anybody wanting to try thai food or pho.

I was craving panang curry and rice passions was the closest delivery option. They have so many items on the menu, it was hard to decide what to pick! We went with a few buns (chicken and beef), rice paper rolls, and panang curry with noodles. The food was packaged well. Everything had a delicious peanut sauce/taste to it. The ingredients are fresh, the serving size big, definitely another takeout option to add to your rotation.

Usually I would rate this place a 4/5 from my past experiences with this restaurant, however this past experience with Rice Passions has knocked it down a star. This most recent order included Drunken Noodles and Basil Fried Rice which was quite mediocre. In particular, the flavors just, weren't there. Instead the dishes tasted quite bland compared to my previous experiences. If I could make draw a comparison to my most recent experience with Rice Passions, both the food color/lack of spice and lack of color (representing more a yellowish/tan/beige hue instead a bit more multicolored and fresh) could be likened to you local late night D-list hole in the wall Chinese spot that serve yellow rice, tough meat with overly sweet sauce and chicken wings at 3AM. This wasn't the vibe that I was going for when I was looking to have some quality Thai food tonight. Hopefully this past experience is more of a one-off. I don't if it was ordering UberEats at 6:30pm on a Wednesday or just a different chef that did not put the expected love, passion, and care into the food, but this most recent experience with Rice Passions was not up to par by any means.

This Thai spot near my workplace has quickly become a favorite among my coworkers and me. Their lunch combos offer incredible value, with generous portions and flavorful dishes. We're particularly fond of the Pad See Ew combo, which includes your choice of dumplings or spring rolls and can be paired with a refreshing Thai iced coffee or Thai tea for an extra dollar. The servers know us at this point so they are super friendly and know what we want the second we walk in.

We ordered 2 meals and 2 drinks for take-out during the covid pandemic. Everything was packaged nicely and neatly! I ordered the vegetarian eggplant delight dinner with a side of jasmine rice, and my boyfriend ordered the tender beef pepper dinner (comes with rice). My meal was pretty good, although i would definitely ask for the tofu to be crispier next time, as it was a bit soggy. I ordered mild and my boyfriend ordered medium spicy; mine was a very true mild and my boyfriend (who likes spicier than me) said his was perfect. For drinks, we both ordered thai tea boba drinks and they were super yummy! The boba was a bit tough, but it was plentiful so i can't complain too much. I was torn between 3-4 stars but ultimately decided on 4.

Amazing food at an affordable price. We ordered the Tom Yum, red curry, and fried rice which were all amazing in their own way. I have never had the fried chicken with Thai food but it was a nice change. In the future I will order the meals in a traditional style just because it is what I like. Either option is good. The space is well maintained and the staff was very kind. They offer takeout and the food is made very fast, but I went on a slow day as you can see in the photo.

Space is small but homey - a little drafty by the door though so if you come during the winter, try to sit away! The menu has a great selection of dishes from appetizers to sharables to entrees. I highly recommend the full fish - fried and delicious. The hot pot soup is also super flavorful and great to split with a friend. Their papaya salad is also EXTREMELY spicy, be warned! Overall, I happily will return to this spot whenever craving Thai food. Good portions, friendly staff, and tasty food!

We started with the pork jowls appetizer. They were flavorful on their own, but the accompanying dipping sauce added an extra layer of bold flavor for those who want it. For our main dishes, we ordered the Tom Yum noodle soup with chicken and the Pad See Ew at a medium spice level. Both dishes were delicious and perfectly seasoned. A word of caution: their spice levels are definitely on an authentic Thai or Asian scale. If you're accustomed to typical American spice levels, medium here may feel quite hot. I love spicy food, so the medium level provided a great balance of heat and chili flavor. My husband, however, found it too spicy. The Tum Yum noodle soup featured a rich, savory broth with just the right amount of sourness. While I really enjoyed the dish, I noticed that many of the noodles were broken into shorter strands. We also shared the Thai Chili Fish, which came with two large deep-fried fish fillets and a generous bowl of sweet and savory chili sauce. The sauce reminded me of sweet-and-sour sauce but with a stronger chili kick. The flavors were fantastic, although the presentation could have been better. The host/servers consisted of just two people, but both were friendly and welcoming. The woman serving us was especially funny and entertaining, which added to the overall experience. Overall, I had a great meal and would definitely return whenever I'm in Boston. There are several other dishes on the menu that I'm eager to try.

One of my favorite touches is that you can always see the chef hustling in the kitchen--it gives the restaurant such a personal and authentic feel. The ambience is lovely, and the staff is consistently attentive and professional. The service has always been excellent. As someone with a background in restaurant management, I do sometimes feel that the restaurant may be slightly overstaffed and could possibly benefit from a little more operational strategy. That being said, it never negatively affects the guest experience--the service is always seamless. We love the variety of the food, the coziness of the space, and the overall experience. The National Dish of Denmark (stegt flæsk) was incredible, the dumplings were jam packed with meat, and the Chinese Churros hit the spot. We were thanked by the owner for coming in and were told that staying late was expected and well welcomed. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the music was a lot of fun. The restaurant faces the shore, so expect lovely views, especially around the golden hour. Overall, this place is an absolute gem. I forgot how swanky looking the place was, and that still impressed. -- Egg Rolls: Cradled in a wicker basket, crisp on the outside, celery, and pork on the inside, a bit dry, but good flavor. A little above average. -- Spare Ribs on the bone: Painted on every surface with a nice char to complement the glaze. A thicker cut than most. Just like last time, they looked like a reheat, but still had very good texture (tender, moist) and decent enough flavor. Above average. -- Pork Egg Foo Yong: A trio of thick patties flooded with light brown sauce. Good crispness underneath. Soft and tender with big chunks of pork that wasn't dried out. Good overall flavor from the fry, the onions, and the pork, as well as the sauce. Near-elite to elite. -- Kung Pao Chicken: A little different here, with much larger shreds of chicken, a little darker than most, less celery and peanuts than most, a profusion of peppers, and pleasing spiciness to the soy-based sauce. Very enjoyable. Above average to well above average. -- Peking Noodles: A little different, and in a good way. More of a fine shred than a crumble, much spicier, and a little gloppier. Good feel to the egg noodles. I don't get this dish often enough to compare, but I enjoyed it. No OMG moments, but no complaints. Solid lunch, flavorful entrees, and I departed with a higher opinion than before. Upping to 4 stars.
