We ordered from here for takeout and found it very good! Takeout experience/pickup was fine (everything to order and correct). Flavor was good with a wide range of Thai classics as well as some interesting menu items that were new to us! The items listed were for 4 adults and a baby and we had 1-2 portioned left for a second meal to help plan.... Food was filling but did not feel overly heavy at the end!

This tiny gem in Melrose is seriously worth the visit if you're craving authentic Thai food with bold flavors! We started with the shrimp donuts, and wow--they were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. A great way to kick off the meal! I ordered the Ba Moo Poo (dry crab noodles with pork), and it did not disappoint. The pork was tender, the noodles were packed with flavor, and it came with a light, aromatic chicken broth that added a nice contrast to the dish. The bok choy in this dish was super crisp and fresh--such a nice touch. We also tried the crab fried rice, which might be my favorite dish of the night. It comes with a lime-cilantro sauce that has a little kick to it--just enough to elevate the flavors without overpowering the dish. Highly recommend it! Just a heads up: the restaurant is very small--only five tables that seat two each. They can push them together for larger parties, but be prepared to wait during peak times. That said, the food more than makes up for the limited space. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!

As always, another wonderful take out order from Bangkok! I had gluten free pad thai, no bean sprouts and spicy. It was the best fricken pad Thai of my life. I love them, love their food and everything about it here!!!

Cute small shop Staff was super nice and helpful. The food was ok. Tbh the best thing I ate was the wings. Had tons of flavor. Crispy. Delish. The Tom yum wasn't bad either. Didn't blow my mind though. The pad Thai is where I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't fried enough. The sauce was too sweet. It didn't blend. It felt like they just threw the sauce on the noodles, fried it for like 5 seconds and served it. There was no real color to the dish. It tasted purely like sauce.

Now this is a hidden gem for me. The front space looks like a cafe and inside is so cozy. They write specials on the wall and everything we got was delicious. The shrimp donut had a nice thin crispy layer and inside was stuffed with minced shrimp. The chicken satay was well seasoned. The diced onions and cucumber were in this umami pickle sauce. I could eat that by itself. The curry with the scallion pancake was so flavorful. The mango sticky rice was warm and every grain were tender. Our waiter was wonderful and informative.

Khao Soi: Delicious. Ingredients fresh and well-balanced. The chicken leg was really good with a nice, browned exterior and tender on the inside. Both the regular noodles and crispy noodles were tasty. The curry was delicious, with a bit of a kick to it. The Bangkok Ribs: nice glaze on the outside. I really like the marinade. It's so good. The ribs were really tender and fell easily off the bone. I wouldn't say prices are cheap, but they are reasonable. Portion sizes are good.

A local spot across the street from the commuter rail stop, The Bangkok offers a variety of Thai and Vietnamese dishes. SPACE: Very limited seating (about 5 tables) so I don't recommend coming in large groups. I don't believe they have any restrooms either but it may have been hidden away behind the kitchen doors. PAD SEE EW: I ordered the crispy chicken pad see ew. The noodle to veggie ratio was very off - there were more veggies than noodles. I love noodles so was very disappointed. The dish itself was also more saucy that what I was used to so I wasn't a fan of that. The crispy chicken was the best part of the dish. BUN BO HUE: My partner ordered the bun bo hue and he mentioned that it was just mediocre. It wasn't as spicy as he would liked. THAI ICED TEA: Standard but delicious! I would recommend if you were thinking of grabbing a drink here. SERVICE: Food came out fairly quickly and staff was nice.

Cute little Thai spot. Very unexpected in Melrose. We ordered a few appetizers and they were all well prepared. The beef noodles was tasty. Definitely worth a visit if you like Thai Food.

Was in the area, got hungry, and noticed this restaurant. This is a small cozy little spot with street parking only. Staff was nice and food came out fast and hot. Ordered the Tom yum pad thai since I have never had that flavor pad thai before. I do not regret it at all. It was very delicious. I had it with chicken, which was not too dry. The noodles were cooked to perfection. Love the tom yum flavor in the noodles. The crushed peanuts is always awesome that adds a bit of a crunch to the chew. Portions of noodles to toppings and protein was good. This spot is absolutely awesome as far as my first experience went. I will come back for other dishes but as of now, I really recommend the Tom yum pad thai.

For this establishment, my friend and I ordered a curry soup and a fried fish dish with skewered pork and Tom yum soup for appetizers. The skewered pork was delicious and tender. For the other dishes, I felt that the spice level as well as the flavor intensity were not strong enough. When it comes to Thai restaurants, I expect lots of flavor and lots of spices which I found lacking in the dishes. The food wasn't bad and I did enjoy it, but it fell below expectations. For the ambiance, it was small but it did have a cozy vibes. The only issue was that they had a lot of delivery orders so people would stand in front of the counter which made the place packed as well as leave the door open which made it feel cold. For service, the employees were professional and friendly. They were attentive and when I needed something, they made sure to help with the issue

Jumbo lump crab fried rice with egg, garlic and cilantro. Served with green sauce which was a great acidic/spicy compliment to the rice.

It has bar seating area and table dining as well. The restaurant is one of the more modern decorated Vietnamese restaurants compared to traditional mom and pop's Vietnamese restaurants that I am used to. I appreciate the vietbamese street scene mural that they have going and I appreciate their effort and attention to detail. For appetizer, we ordered the Vietnamese fish sauce fried chicken wings. It was very good! This is a must! Sadly, they didn't have the betel leaves beef/pork skewer. I will have to come back another time. For entree, I ordered pho while my husband ordered the bun cha Ha Noi, and my kids shared the rice plate with pork chop and fried egg. My pho broth was very clear, and very light in flavor. It was very reminiscent of how my mother would make her pho, very subtle flavors and with wide pho rice noodles. Long's pho I would say is more akin to Northern Vietnamese pho so if you're looking for more salty and fragrant pho, this might not be for you. I love additional pickled vinegar garlic slices that are available at each table as well. I have never seen this at any Vietnamese restaurant in MA. The bun cha Ha Noi, the was good, but I would try something other next time. The rice plate we ordered had pork chops, fried eggs, and what was supposed to be pork skin, however, the pork skin was not up to standard so the owner replaced it with grilled chicken for us. Pork chops were a little over cooked. They are still very new. I think playing some music will help with the kitchen banter. Service was friendly and fast. Food came out at a very good pace. I feel like their drinks and appetizers menu might be the place to start if you're not adventurous. I will definitely be back to try more of their dishes. See my pictures!

I wish I could grant it 5 stars but my husband And I agree it is a 3 star rating. The flavors were powerful on each dish - the overwhelming taste however was much TOO SALTY. This was the case for the egg noodles, the kale, the bahn mi, scallops even the chocolate mousse at the end. We also feel the portion sizes were just too small. Literally one bite for the majority. Some were 3 or 4 bites (salads). I know it's not the same type of restaurant but I can't help but to compare it to the Zuma experience at the Four Seasons in Boston. THAT was amazing. And the portions were 5 times bigger. Steak. Lobster. of course sushi and a magnificent dessert boat of highest quality gelato and fruit. An experience memorable for life. Nightshade won so many awards. We had to try it. But it didn't meet our exoectations. Portions need to be bigger. Flavors need to be more subtle on the salt. It is a beautiful and casual at the same time environment - people very friendly. And we appreciated the Anniversary card!

Have tried many of the Korean restaurants in Allston and this, K Restaurant, seems to outrank them all! As for service -- indeed you pay first, but was a bit confused about the server/front desk who pretty much tell you to order before seated (choosing your own table), take your order, serve you with all the food, etc -- literally she handles all the customer service stuff -- wondering why she did not appear at pleasant or smile at all. Don't get me wrong, fully aware of wide range of personalities -- some appear more excited and enthusiastic than others others -- even without the the usual tipping at the end, and especially with the tipping at the end. Here, of course you pay -- and finalize your tip or no time before being served with your food, but still the server did not appear to greet or show those standard pleasantries expected all common in America ... She wasn't rude or anything. It just seems like she's not happy being there. Any event, just some thoughts here. Would definitely be back. And do recommend this place to others who want delicious meal but just note the above.
