At first I was genuinely excited to find this place on google maps and even more excited when I saw the interior pictures and realized that it was indeed a sit-down restaurant and not just one more of those numerous take out only joints. The interior is decorated nicely, it's clean and the wait staff were professional and friendly. My main comment is that the food was extremely OK. I wasn't offended, but for some reason the pineapple fried rice was not seasoned much, the drunken noodle (probably the best dish of the night) was decently good albeit a little too spicy, and the shumai appetizer was almost there, but not quite. It was a bit of a let down overall as it has so much potential to be a really great spot. With Dakzen, Sugar & Spice and other Thai places nearby Blue Elephant needs to step it up a little then it'll be great. read more

Tonight there was a noticeable decrease in the amount of chicken and beef in the two dishes we ordered. some friends and I decided to try blue elephant last weekend. I've been going to Sugar and spice for over 10 years and this place is very comparable. I will say pros to blue elephant is that they do not have a crazy amount of Uber eats and delivery drivers ruining the atmosphere in my opinion. The food is very comparable as it is Thai food is a bit smaller than sugar and spice but the food comes out quick and the staff are friendly and the vibes are overall great. Saw blue elephant on a late night from Work and decided to stop and place a to go order for the family. I was greeted by the staff and the restaurant was large with plenty of tables for patrons who decided to dine In. All items I tried were delicious and here's a list of what was ordered. The serving sizes were large portion and there were leftovers for the next few days. Wanted to like the restaurant because it seems to be a new local establishment, but it was one of the worst Thai places I've been to in the area. Portion sizes are pretty off. Got the Crying Tiger salad steak with the sticky rice. It's some slices of beef (super over cooked )with the smallest portion of salad. I kid you not, it was about 4 pieces of greens. They initially forgot the rice and had to remind them it. In addition we got the roti with the green curry which came out after multiple other parties were served all their dishes. Large bowl of curry with the smallest plate of roti. The roti was burnt on one side and soft and barely cooked on another. The curry was pretty standard. Overall, food taste was below average and the dishes did not seem to be well thought out in terms of portions of what goes into the dish. Also, quality is substandard. Would not recommend, save your money and go somewhere else until they improve. read more

I love the food here and the staff is very friendly, however they do not have proper heating or cooling. In the winter it is freezing. If you look in as you pass by, you will see that people have their coats on and even hats. Conversely, in the summer, they have a rickety old air conditioner that hangs above the door. Not only does it drip a ton, but it is loud and does not cool the place at all. I'm not sure why the staff don't take some action. It can't be comfortable for them, and they must notice people wearing outerwear in the restaurant during cold weather. This has happened on many occasions, so not just an off night. We sometimes walk by and if we see people wearing jackets, we go somewhere else. read more

Blue Elephant recently open and has been busy so we were eager to try it out. In all honesty, all I can say is, we haven't experienced anything like this in a long long time. I started to get nervous when I read the menu. It wasn't strict Thai food but what we experienced was simple awful. Not only did it take 40 minutes for the apps to start coming out, the first app was 'un-cooked' chicken. Yes. It was raw. The moo ping pork came out next and was chewy. I ordered red curry. It states on the take-out menu that it is "served with jasmine rice." When I picked up my order it did not include the jasmine rice. When I asked about it, they said jasmine rice is not included with dinner. I pointed out that it states on the take-out menu that it is "served with jasmine rice." They said that this is an "old" menu even though the place just opened. It sucks that they can't honor what they state in their menu. Awesome! Crab Rangoon's are so good! Everything we got was delicious, the Thai basil dish is very good.

We really enjoyed the pad Thai, fried roti and mango sticky rice. The miso soup was not my favorite but my husband liked it.

This new restaurant in Ball Square is absolutely amazing! We got 5 dishes between 2 people to try a handful of different plates. All were very well made, hot and flavorful. And we even had some leftovers to bring home. We were so excited and ate so fast we did forget to take pictures, we will next time. From the restaurant decor prior to this one, it is more modernized, simple decor and well lit. Lovely neighborhood spot and we will definitely be back again soon. read more

This new Thai place was super cute and cozy inside, and the food was delicious! I enjoyed the Panang curry. The staff was friendly!

Tried this place out as it just opened. Wow, so delicious! Highly recommend, I hope this place sticks around 10/10!
