Larb chicken - amazing dish i really liked it, only comment would be maybe the minced protein toss some bigger diced chunks in too to soak up that cr*ck sauce! Basil chicken fried rice - spicy good flavor overall and chicken was plenty. I sort of was hoping they would have the signature like basil spice "glaze/sauce" they could do like other spots for basil dishes but they did not. It's good how it is though but if i was to get crispy chicken - def would need a sauce for my taste anyways. Red curry with salmon creamy extra spicy (you can choose spice level) salmon was cooked well in here and the flavor broth went so well soaked in the white rice! Vegan-friendly Thai place with a nice ambience. I stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday and was seated immediately. Lots of vegetarian (marked clearly) and vegan options too. I ordered a clear soup ($7) to start that comes with tofu and veggies, and a house curry with vegan duck ($19). Both came out in about 5 minutes. The soup was forgettable, pretty bland, but at least veggies. The broth was extremely gentle, slightly garlicky but otherwise boring. The curry, however, was well-done. It came with broccoli, red and green pepper, and carrot, with plenty of vegan duck that had great texture. Not the most complex or decadent curry, but well done. I just spent 25.00 -delivery-on a bite of sticky rice and disgusting pork that was packed with fat. I couldn't eat that meat. It is the crying signature pork. I am so hungry that I am going to order some more food. The portion is so small that is not even funny. They should also say that the sauce is spicy and for that reason I couldn't eat the small portion of vegetables either. I don't eat spicy food I am so mad. My friends and I showed up on a Friday night. There was already a line of people waiting for a table. Fortunately, we were able to grab one of the last ones by the window. Parking is a little tough, but there should be enough street parking spots available. The dishes that stood out were the panang curry, chicken wings, and green curry. The panang was great for the depth of flavor and tender short ribs. Wings were lightly crispy and moist. Green curry was rich and creamy. We were most disappointed by the tom kha which was very watery and not as creamy or define in flavor as we were hoping. Overall, we had a very good experience. Absolutely terrible. I was so excited to try this place, having recently moved from Los Angeles in search of finding great Asian food in the area. Unfortunately, lean cuisine tastes better than the items at this restaurant. Ordered the crying tiger and the Tom Yum soup. The hot pot did not have a flame underneath it. It was served lukewarm. The chicken in the Tom Yum tasted like it was frozen for five years and instantly disintegrated into dried pieces in my mouth. The soup tasted like pure tomato broth, which had white mushrooms and onion slivers in it. There was no lemongrass, no straw mushrooms, no fish sauce, no flavor, that is in every other tom yum I had ever had in my life. For a $20 steak, it was grey and blue due to the oxidization, and the Tom Yum had zero chili or lemon grass or any flavor of any kind. Served alongside some frozen vegetables to make the plate look better, but it made it look worse . I'm not sure if this is tailoring to the Massachusetts demographic, but it is extremely disappointing, especially coming from one of the top Thai food spots in the world. The only edible items were the 3$ plain rice and the Thai tea. It seems like there was an artificial tom yum powder packet that had just been sprinkled on top of everything and they called it a day, and even then they could've added a little bit more. Whoa, this place is great! My friend and I split the grilled pork cheek app, Penang beef short rib entree and rice noodle with shrimp and pork belly clay pot. It was all so, so good. The clay pot noodles were unlike any other Thai dish I've had before - there was a smokiness that paired so nicely with the slightly sweet profile. And the curry was both rich and well balanced. The short rib was cooked perfectly. The pork cheek was perhaps my least favorite out of the three. I think this was just a personal preference for the texture of the cut. But the flavors were great and I also appreciated the fact that it came with a good serving of vegetables. The service was also really friendly and attentive. Overall, definitely a 5 star spot. I think the staffs and the environment here deserve a 5 stars but food is 0 star that why I gave a 2 star for it. The staffs are extremely friendly and accommodating, however, the food was so bad and I m so disappointed since I have such high expectations for the place. Tried out this Thai spot for lunch on a Sunday. There were plenty of tables available and the interior is well decorated. We ordered multiple dishes to share. The Crying Thaiger Curry was hearty with just a touch of spice, although the sticky rice we ordered on the side was quite dry. The spicy basil pad Thai was much saucier than traditional pad Thai. Crispy chicken was a good protein complement for this dish to add some textural crunch. Our favorite hands down was the Crying Ribeye! Tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked, especially with the tangy, savory dipping sauce on the side. We would definitely order this dish again. The mango sticky rice was also superb, the sticky rice in this dish was moist (unlike the side of sticky rice that came with our curry), the mangos were fresh, and the crispy Rice Krispies added a fun pop each bite. I will start off by saying I usually hate thai food. I have nothing against it, I just don't like that most dishes are super sweet or super spicy or super oily. Their Tom yum is no joke. I took one sip and had to drink some water to cool down the spicy burn. But also my fault for not mixing the soup before sipping. Nice and spicy, not sweet, sour but not too sour, got a depth of flavor to it, and seasons the rice noodles I dipped into it very well! My sister got the kra pow with minced chicken. She said it was well seasoned and really good. Our friend got prik pow(?) Sautéed chicken with veggies tossed in a chili sauce - looked delicious too! I'd say flavor and quality is certainly a strength at this place. Service was a little slow. We ordered takeout and it was estimated to be 30 min. We came about 45 min in and still had to wait for a solid 10 min to get the order. I will say though, the food was piping hot when we got home. The house was packed but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Atmosphere had a very homey feel. Thai knick knacks on a shelf split the room in to to provide more intimate feel. Since it was lunch I didn't indulge in the sauce but I made up for it with my stomach. We started with the crying wings and the crispy chive cake. The crying wing seasoning was interesting, a little salty spicy and a dry citrus tang. The crispy chive cake was similar to a scallion pancake batter but with chives cut into cubes and fried so every bite has a nice crunch but it's moist on the inside. I don't care for pad Thai because I'm often disappointed, but it was so good wifey was considering ordering one to go for dinner later! A good size restaurant, so getting a table wasn't an issue. This was our first time trying this restaurant after seeing it pop up on my Yelp timeline, and I really enjoyed the food. The prices were really reasonable, so we tried multiple dishes and most didn't disappoint. There were many gluten free options, and I really appreciate that GF options and other dietary restrictions were clearly marked when ordering online and it was clear what foods could be modified for allergies. The siu Mai for example is definitely something I've gotten from the Asian store freezer, some mediocre versions stuffed with sticky rice and crappy shrimp instead of pork and shrimp like the menu and photos demonstrated. Their potted plant green tea was huge and topped with crushed Oreos, definitely profiled as more of a dessert but it was still great. I LOVED the Crab Rangoons and the Tom Yum wings. Came here on a Saturday for dinner and the place wasn't too busy, although filled out a bit by the time we were leaving. I enjoyed the aesthetic of the spot a lot - nice, expansive menu and then the overall decor was pleasant as well. Service was pretty efficient, not overly friendly or anything but just attentive enough to feel well tended to. The food came out relatively fast as well so we weren't waiting too long for anything either. The appetizers were a little lacking honestly - I'd only get the chive cakes again if I had a choice. The clay pot I got was a good portion and plenty of meat - overall, super happy with my choice. The green tea was yummy too, albeit didn't stand out too much. I'd probably get it again since it's unique, but not super hyped about it after tasting it. I'd say this spot is a solid restaurant for Thai food. I have found one of my new favorite places for lunch. It's a cute, clean restaurant with okay parking and delicious food - great atmosphere. I got the Crying Thaiger curry with tofu and it was so good, only a mild spice which is what I asked for. The egg rolls are really good, but a little spicy. I didn't get to sit in and dine but I will be sure to when I have more time. I can't wait to try the beef and chicken options and the Thai iced tea.
