Khua Kai with tofu and Thai Fried Spring rolls
    Lynn S.

This place is my go-to for great reliable, authentic Thai food. I work close to this place so it's a great place to stop in after work for dining in or taking out. I really like the Ma and Pa atmosphere of order at the counter and they are pretty quick with order. Have tried a variety of their appetizers and noodle dishes. My favorite appetizer is the Thai spring rolls and my favorite noodle dish is the Khua Kai (with tofu) but any of their meat options are great. What's also great is you can customize your spice level.

We were visiting Rochester and heard from a friend to come try this restaurant. There's a few tables inside but seems like mainly a takeout Thai restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful with questions we had. We tried the pad see ew - the noodles were thick and fresh. The beef was tender and delicious. Vegetables were cooked well. Sauce was strong. We also got the pad kee mao - the basil flavor was nice and the spice was good. As with the other dish, the noodles were thick and fresh made and vegetables cooked well. crispy pork belly reminded me of deep fried pork balls but better. Dishes are around 15$ usd so not bad for what you get.

I got the Pad Ka Pow with chicken and I ordered spicy. It came out spicy for sure. Taste was great but could use a little more sauce.

Definitely take your food to go, the location is small and very hot. The food was great and i liked the heat scale. I tried with a 2, but would go higher next time to really feel it a bit more. Everyone here was very friendly and pleasant.

I love the food that I got. It's the best tom yum soup I had here in Rochester ny. The price was very affordable and the service was swift. The ambiance is casual. I also like their crispy pork.

Staying at nearby hotel that I stay at often, first time trying ThaiYada. Got the fried wontons and crispy pork belly apps, so delicious I highly recommend both! Next time I will try an entree quality is excellent and it was hot and ready at the time promised.

Amazing! This was a huge volume of delicious food at a very good price! Service was less than prompt but it was totally worth the wait. Will absolutely be back!

A really small and popular Thai restaurant downtown Rochester. I get this for takeout every other week. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Pad thai, Pork belly, Pad See Ew, Egg rolls, Thai Green Tea, Thai Tea, Papaya Salad, Tom Yum Soup

The food is absolutely amazing and it taste like a homemade meal your parents would make. Warmth. The service is great, the people are very friendly and nice. The store is small and cozy. Would come again!

The food was incredibly delicious. The restaurant is very small and basic, so don't let that fool you.

Thai Bistro has quickly become one of our favorite spots since moving to Webster. We're originally…read morefrom Southern California and are pretty picky about Thai food, but this place absolutely delivers. We always order the chicken pad thai, and it's consistently delicious--full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and exactly what we're craving every time. One thing we really appreciate is that they use fresh peppers to spice it up, which makes a huge difference and gives it that authentic, fresh heat we love. The service is just as great as the food. The young ladies who serve here are always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the experience even better. It's comforting to find a place that feels familiar and hits the mark on both food and service. Thai Bistro is a gem, and we're so glad to have it nearby. We'll definitely be regulars!

I had intended a more…read moretraditional Rochester area-type dinner (I love MacGregor's wings) with my son when he mentioned Thai. Yelp led us here. Service was ok. Our waitress was attentive when she was around. The bar area was full of high school/early college age (seemingly employee woman) who were all off and just hanging out with one person (in work attire) working the floor. Atmosphere was clean and comfortable and nice. Seemed less like a Thai place specifically. Could also be a salon based on decor. Food was excellent. EXCELLENT. Two dishes (Tom Yum Soup & Crying Tiger appetizer) were the best I've ever had - and I would spend a lot of time in Soul, Shanghai, and Hong Kong for work. Really good. My noodle dish was menued as spicy and was not, and my son's curry dish had the right heat level but was lack-luster on protein to rice to sauce ratio. But the taste and freshness were outstanding. Prices for appetizer portion size leaves me in a quandary. They were delicious. Truly. But a small fortune for the portion. 3 apps, two noodle/curry dishes, and 2 diet cokes was over $100. I'm still loving the food - especially the crying tiger. But... that's a heavy lift for 2 ppl.

So! Out of everything i ordered (see pics) I didn't try the soup dumpling but my kiddo (who are the whole steamer) said it was good. Everything was hot and delicious and taste like NYC dim sum (iykyk) except -the turnip cake (too oily and mushy) - fried dough noodle (too much wrapping, dough not fresh and crispy enough) - egg tarts (new and only available on weekends according to their menu - I am a BIG egg tarts fan and unfortunately these were disappointing: crust was fine but filling was baked eggs and not the classic flan-like type of an egg tarts). 3-4 other families came in for dim sum, it was more lively and they turned on low classical music so lovelier ambiance than when we first walked in. Wait staff was very friendly and polite. Only negative thing were the sticky plastic spoons they gave to share the congee bowl. After recovering from a recent stomach bug I have to be super critical of dining utensils so gotta ding a star off for that. Prices were more expensive than normal for dim sum but we were expected that - just glad they didn't decrease the quantity like some places! All in all, we would come back again for dim sum :)
