I order take out from here time to time for the convenience of the location and speed at which the food is ready. It fluctuates from OK to not very good. They have always been dismissive of the spice level I ask for. More recently the individual on the line kept asking me if I was sure I wanted level 5 spice. They just would not let it go, it got to the point where I straight up told them we like to eat and grow ghost peppers. That being said, no matter who picks up the phone and takes my order- I ALWAYS need to dump a boat load of chili flakes on top (we have a nice bag on hand at home). If you ask for a 5, tamper your expectations, it will be a 1 or 0. The pad kee mao I recently ordered had maybe 2.5 green beans and 1/4 of a raw tomato?? I asked for tofu and got the same tofu puffs I bye from the asian market (aka their tofu is not freshly fried in-house) and they were on the dry side like they'd been sitting out after being cut in half. The pad thia my partner ordered had a scant amount of chicken, and egg. We had to heavily fix it up with additional chili flakes and lime. It was meant to be a level 5 was more like a level 1. Pathetic. We are no longer going to be ordering takeout from here. read more

We got a pick up order and received it neatly sorted in a box for easy handling which was much appreciated! The food was some of the best Thai food in the area. This place is my go-to for great reliable, authentic Thai food. I work close to this place so it's a great place to stop in after work for dining in or taking out. I really like the Ma and Pa atmosphere of order at the counter and they are pretty quick with order. Have tried a variety of their appetizers and noodle dishes. My favorite appetizer is the Thai spring rolls and my favorite noodle dish is the Khua Kai (with tofu) but any of their meat options are great. We were visiting Rochester and heard from a friend to come try this restaurant. There's a few tables inside but seems like mainly a takeout Thai restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful with questions we had. We tried the pad see ew - the noodles were thick and fresh. The beef was tender and delicious. Vegetables were cooked well. Sauce was strong. We also got the pad kee mao - the basil flavor was nice and the spice was good. As with the other dish, the noodles were thick and fresh made and vegetables cooked well. crispy pork belly reminded me of deep fried pork balls but better. Delicious takeout. I had the drunken noodles. I did have some difficulty finding parking. I tried a little parking lot but it was a pay the parking lot that was $13 and I knew I was only picking up food and leaving. That would take about two minutes. So I called the restaurant to let them know I was right outside and wasn't sure what to do. They brought the food out to my car. Very friendly. Very fast. Great food. This spot has some of the best chicken pad thai that I've had in my travels! The little tofu cubes were a delicious, authentic addition, but it was the smokiness of the dish that really took it to the next level. Pleasant heat at level three and still a litttle bite to the noodles. Personally the bean sprouts and Chinese chives were softer than I'd like; however, I did order takeout, so they may have kept cooking in the box, which was still hot by the time I dug in. A larger, fresher lime slice would have been nice as well, but that is also a quibble on a fantastic meal. read more

I got vegetable pad Thai as a takeout order and it was good but not the best I've had. Something about the flavor of the noodles was a bit off... again, still tasty but didn't fully satisfy me. Thai Family Owned Restaurant. Good Option for authentic Thai food in the Rochester area. We ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Basil Chicken, Crispy Pork Basil Stir Fry. Crispy Pork Basil Stir fry was definitely the most popular dish at the table. Restaurant only open for dinner and is mostly set up for takeout, however theres a few small tables for indoor dining. Food was tasty, restaurant was clean, and service was excellent. Gluten Free and allergy accommodation available. So this is a very small hole in the wall place. I got pad see ew, drunken noodles for my friend, and crab Rangoon, and spring rolls. The drunken noodles was reported tasty and I really like the pad see ew. My only issue is that the entrees were priced accurately but the appetizers being $17 each as well seemed off to me, and not for a large quantity. I tried ThaiYada for the first time tonight and was so impressed! I actually ordered two dishes that are less-Thai than what else is on the menu, but I'll be back to try more. I got the fried pork wontons and the chicken fried rice for dinner. I ordered online and my order was ready right on time and packaged neatly. They also poked holes in the container for the fried wontons, which so many places do not do, leading to soggy fried food. Not here--the wontons were perfectly crispy when I got home. The pork inside the wontons is so flavorful. They come with a sweet and sour dipping sauce, which is a nice complement, but the pork is so flavorful on its own that you really don't need the sauce. These satisfied my craving for something crunchy and fried. The fried rice is one of the best fried rice dishes I've had in Rochester, no doubt. First of all, the portion is HUGE. Enough for at least three meals, maybe more! They didn't skimp on chicken (you can choose other meats) or veggies and the flavoring was exactly what I want in a fried rice: savory but not too salty or heavy. You HAVE to try the drunken noodles with beef and/or shrimp - they were so good. The family working there was super nice and everything was made fresh to order. For the past 2 years that I've lived in Rochester. Thaiyada is always my to-go dinner. It is the most authentic and the best Thai food in Rochester, NY. I always get Thai basil (Pad Krapao) with Crispy pork which is definitely rare for meat choice. Other places rarely have this choice of meat. I've had takeout from Thai Yada several times now, both pick up and through services like GrubHub. I like that they utilize these services , especially when it came time to isolate due to a covid exposure, and the promise of Thai takeout kept my spirits high. Pad see ew is my go to , and here I usually order it with Tofu. Always yummy! Good portion (enough for 2 meals). Have also really enjoyed their spring rolls.
