It pains me to give a low review, but our experience at Pattaya left us wanting more and made me realize I won't return on future trips back to Rochester. I ordered the Cashew Chicken and my partner got the Pad Prik Khing Beef, we shared the fresh shrimp spring rolls. Overall the food was very mediocre...the meat tasted low quality and rubbery, the white rice was old and had dark grains in it. My partner said the meat tasted boiled. The fresh shrimp spring rolls were 90% old wilted lettuce. The staff was also impatient with us, and seemingly annoyed at every request. We were celebrating my grandmothers birthday as a family and asked them to bring out a cake we brought with us, which irritated them.

Very poor customer service. In Town visiting family and ordered dinner. 2 entrees came with tofu when not what we ordered. Was supposed to be chicken. Difficult to communicate over phone to order and when I called back to request credit. Will not go back.

    Obsessed with their little clams!

We have been going here for decades and it never disappoints. We usually get 2 dishes each because there are so many yummy choices, we can never decide! If you like Thai food, you'll love Pattayas!

Pretty solid Thai food. Got it was takeout. Everything looks the same but the taste was like surprisingly much better than I expected. We got the pad Thai with shrimp. Shrimp looked sketch like the frozen little ones but the taste was like omg this is good! Pad Kee ew wasnt too spicy but flavor and texture of the beef was great. The jungle squid was like pretty amazing. Seafood tasted amazing. Curry was fantastic mixed with the rice. Would highly recommend for anyone trying it out

Today we went and enjoyed Chicken Pad Thai from Pattaya Thai Restaurant in Penfield. This is my favorite place to get Pad Thai! My dad showed my brother and I this place when we were younger and they consistently deliver perfect Thai dishes! The food is priced fairly and the smoothies are made fresh!! Highly recommend!

Was the Thai Tea good here? I could Taya but I'd have to kill ya. But my father knows, so if you hold on a second, I can have my Pa Taya. This is a review for the Thai Tea only. Which is typical of me, really. I like to try Thai Tea (since I'm so in love with it) at all kinds of Thai restaurants, and then if I love the tea or the service, I'll go back soon and try the Thai Green Curry and other dishes. If I don't love the tea, I still might go back, it will take longer. I was sad that nobody was in here on the day I went. It seems like they're struggling so I feel bad for giving a 3. And if you're in Pitt and you're looking to fix several flats that you have, you're in the wrong place. You were probably looking for PA-tire. But Pattaya scores a 3 for the tea alone, which is actually pretty bad. The cup was super small, and it was filled with mostly ice. The taste of the tea itself reminded me of chemicals. It wasn't awful, so I still had most of it and sort-of enjoyed it, however I didn't finish it (which I would have if I'd liked it, since I was very thirsty). What's more, it cost $3.25, which for such a small cup was too pricey. Of course I didn't like it anyway so I'm okay with it. But if it'd been 1.90 or 2.25 or something, I may have given them a 4 since it wasn't awful and 3 is the lowest rating I give to family businesses. And if your feet are sore, why not go and see a Pattayatrist. And if you get involved in a hot steamy encounter in the bathroom here, is that a Pattaya-tryst? Yes.

For all the years that Pattaya has been here, I've only recently ventured inside. I was recently looking for a place to take a friend for lunch, and we decided that Thai would be good, and Pattaya was close. We arrived just around 11:45 for lunch. The parking lot was fairly empty and we were lucky to get a booth. As soon as noon rolled around, the place filled up. That's always a good sign. I ordered a Pad Prik Pao with Chicken lunch special. The meal came with a small portion of tom yum soup, and the speed at which the food came out was exceptional. My friend ordered a pad thai and was really happy with it. I also ordered a thai iced tea - but I wasn't in love with it. It was much sweeter than some of the others I've had at various restaurants, and not spicy enough. Our server was pleasant, and I can offer no real complaints. Even thought the decor is somewhat out of date, it is still pleasant and sitting in a booth was really favorable. I always hate having to pull out left onto 441 - and this is the biggest complaint I have. At lunch time or rush hour, its quite difficult. I ended up doing a right turn and back tracking.

Save your $ and stomach. The food is prepared with the lowest quality ingredients and nothing is freshly made but merely combined. Avoid!

They have always been dismissive of the spice level I ask for. More recently the individual on the line kept asking me if I was sure I wanted level 5 spice. They just would not let it go, it got to the point where I straight up told them we like to eat and grow ghost peppers. That being said, no matter who picks up the phone and takes my order- I ALWAYS need to dump a boat load of chili flakes on top (we have a nice bag on hand at home). If you ask for a 5, tamper your expectations, it will be a 1 or 0. The pad kee mao I recently ordered had maybe 2.5 green beans and 1/4 of a raw tomato?? I asked for tofu and got the same tofu puffs I bye from the asian market (aka their tofu is not freshly fried in-house) and they were on the dry side like they'd been sitting out after being cut in half. The pad thia my partner ordered had a scant amount of chicken, and egg. We had to heavily fix it up with additional chili flakes and lime. It was meant to be a level 5 was more like a level 1. Pathetic. We are no longer going to be ordering takeout from here.

We always order the chicken pad thai, and it's consistently delicious--full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and exactly what we're craving every time. One thing we really appreciate is that they use fresh peppers to spice it up, which makes a huge difference and gives it that authentic, fresh heat we love. The service is just as great as the food. The young ladies who serve here are always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the experience even better. It's comforting to find a place that feels familiar and hits the mark on both food and service. Thai Bistro is a gem, and we're so glad to have it nearby. We'll definitely be regulars!

Our waitress was attentive when she was around. The bar area was full of high school/early college age (seemingly employee woman) who were all off and just hanging out with one person (in work attire) working the floor. Atmosphere was clean and comfortable and nice. Seemed less like a Thai place specifically. Could also be a salon based on decor. Food was excellent. EXCELLENT. Two dishes (Tom Yum Soup & Crying Tiger appetizer) were the best I've ever had - and I would spend a lot of time in Soul, Shanghai, and Hong Kong for work. Really good. My noodle dish was menued as spicy and was not, and my son's curry dish had the right heat level but was lack-luster on protein to rice to sauce ratio. But the taste and freshness were outstanding. Prices for appetizer portion size leaves me in a quandary. They were delicious. Truly. But a small fortune for the portion. 3 apps, two noodle/curry dishes, and 2 diet cokes was over $100. I'm still loving the food - especially the crying tiger. But... that's a heavy lift for 2 ppl.
