    Tai Nam Pho

Have tried a handful of pho spots in Rochester, but this location is my favorite. Pretty much centrally located in Rochester. I always call ahead and my order is always ready within 5 to 10 minutes. Prices are not updated online and are a little more expensive. $15 for beef special pho. Do wish they had a spicy broth option and they charge extra for spicy sides. Overall, solid pho spot in Rochester.

Fast and courteous service, good food, and reasonable prices. Great location near Strong Hospital, museums, etc. with ample parking. A return visit is in my future!

    Chicken vermicelli with house sauce

Delicious. Great prices. Fantastic smells upon entering restaurant. Ordered the chicken vermicelli bowl with house sauce. So yummy and a great portion. This was lunch so got the tom yum soup too. Spicy and full of flavor, veggies and shrimp! So good on a cold rochester day. Cant wait to get back and try the Pho and a noodle dish with the peanut sauce!!

At 3pm on a Wednesday, this place was conveniently quiet. I frequent this place a lot, because the prices can't be beat, and it's pretty good food. Instead of getting my usual Thai iced tea (amazing), I opted for a limeade which was incredible. Not sickeningly sweet, and amazingly fresh. For my entree, I got the chicken pho, which comes with the traditional fixings of lime, bean sprouts, etc. I was pleased that they had the small chili peppers and I got a side of those chopped up for some extra spice. With the noodles, chicken, and the broth itself, I was stuffed and satisfied. It is a little basic in that they don't really serve any specialty dishes, as well as their hot sauce selection being limited to sriracha only, but sometimes simplicity is best. Plus a huge bowl of pho is only like $6 or $7.

Fantastic food, great service. Our server was super attentive the whole time. We started with the fried squid... which was phenomenal. The husband got pho & I had Pad Thai . Some of the best Pad Thai I've had! He loved his pho as well. I only got a pic of the squid because I got too sidetracked scarfing down the rest to take any more pics. Highly recommend this place.

    Delicious steak and brisket pho!

Good pho, quick service, reasonable prices. Spring rolls were huge, but filling was 99% noodles, bland. But we'll be back for pho.

This is my favorite place to get pho. The online ordering process is easy and they always have the food ready very quickly.

The beef brisket Pho was delicious! I ate at their mt. Hope restaurant and it was bustling inside by 7 on a Friday night.

Nothing beats the winter blues like a bowl of hot pho tai! We usually get takeout, both locations have consistently good quality.

The first time I went, the food was literally out in five minutes after ordering it so how could fresh could that be? And it didn't taste good so it took us a while to come back. My parents requested to go so we went and haven't had nothing but great food each time. I got the chicken pad Thai, which has little tiny thin noodles in it and I love it that way and the peanut sauce isn't too sweet. My dad got seafood pot this time around and he said he would order it again. Husband got some rare meat dish salad that was very spicy which he wants. We also got the papaya salad and sticky rice, which is a really large Portion. We got it medium so everyone could eat it but normally he gets it super spicy which they accommodate. We order a drink of saki which was 6 bucks each. They wine is 6 bucks a glass like it should be! These other places charging $12-$14 a glass is ridiculous The tom kha soup is delicious and it's a good portion for 2 to split. My dad really likes the bean thread soup too. We got an order of spring rolls which also came in an order of two, which I think is lame and is five bucks. Which they gave more for less money. We haven't had a bad meal since and we will definitely be going back

I ordered Tom Kar soup, Panang chicken and Chicken Phat prikpao. Food came out within 10 minutes. I enjoy the food, but I hope the panang can a bit more spicy and The Tom kar soup is a bit less sweet. The rice was quite dry. Since it wasn't a big issue in terms of flavor, and the price is reasonable, I gave 4 stars (3 and a half is better suited). Staffs are friendly. The restaurant look a bit outdated.

However Clarissa, one of the owners opened the door and let me wait inside. She was also our server and awesome to speak with. It's a nice cozy space right on Main Street Victor. Plenty of parking in front or out back. The food was great. We started with an "off menu" cucumber salad that was reminiscent of kimchi without the fermentation(see pic). My friend is more of a regular and asked for it. It was Delish, crisp, and slightly spicy but not overwhelming. We both had a soup that was a combo of the Somlar Machu and Num Banh Chok with Shrimp. It had a great curry flavor with a bit of the sour hints you would find in a tom yum. It was just spicy enough to make you know it had heat but not too much to blow out your taste buds. I had to run out for a meeting and left behind too much broth. Should have gotten it to go as I would rather drink that than bone broth any day. Sorry no pic of the soup but trust me you would have been drooling at the pic. Definitely recommend giving it a try and I will be back.

I am from Los Angeles born and raised so definitely know my way around pho and Southeast Asian food. What they serve is absolutely a step up. I also tried out one of their house special rice dishes which was phenomenal. The food here is so good I started eating here almost every day while here for work. The wait staff Clarissa is extremely nice and helpful especially if you don't know what you want to order and will explain what flavors and taste you will get from each dish. I'm hoping I come back for work in the area soon so I can eat my way around the entire menu at some point. The only negative thing is that T-mobile service sucks in the area. Thank goodness for work phones(ATT)!

A sister restaurant to SEA, Roc Pho Shop started as an idea to branch off from traditional dishes…read moreand create more playful meals. It's the same cuisine but with a twist. Head chef Nalee Phommachanh had the vision alongside owner (and sister-in-law) Vilay Sysavath. The family- run business offers a diverse and authentic Southeast Asian menu, a quarterly rotating chef specials menu with paired rotating drinks, and a full-service bar with specialty Soju-based cocktails and other Asian-fusion beverages. My wife and I were in Rochester for a thrift show and wanted to grab some lunch. We love Vietnamese, pho is one of my favorite foods, so we decided to give them a try and we were glad we did. The restaurant is small and jam packed full of tables, but we were still able to be sat and given menus immediately around 2PM on a Saturday. We decided to order a bunch of things and share them. Obviously, we got a bowl of pho, along with an order of egg rolls, a chicken lemongrass plate, and a couple of Thai teas. Our food took a bit to come, but it was pretty busy, and we were very happy with our food. Everything was delicious. The grilled chicken from the platter had awesome lemongrass flavor, the pho's broth was flavorful, the egg rolls were absolutely amazing, and the portions were huge - we had plenty to take home afterwards. Employees were friendly, prices were comparable to similar restaurants. We'd definitely go again if in the area.

Unsurprisingly, I originally visited to try the pho itself. While the pho is served with a plate of Thai basil, hoisin, siracha, sprouts and lime to add flavor, I'm still somewhat regularly disappointed in the lack of umami flavor in the broth itself. It lacks some depth. There are also times when my broth wasn't quite as hot as I would have wanted. Generally, the pho is fine... but there are better options around Henrietta and Rochester. Just something to keep in mind. I've had a variety of other dishes as well, and the pork banh mi is another that could use some improvement. In the couple times that I've had it, it seems to be very dry. I want a scrumptious banh mi with plenty of pickled veggies and a flavorful pork... but that isn't what I've experienced here. It's served with a broth on the side, and that's fine... but I want my flavor *IN* the sandwich... without having to use a broth as a substitute to add moisture to the meat or flavor to the sandwich. On a recent visit, I brought my mother. She ended up ordering the shrimp fried rice for her lunch, and, while the size was large (she ended up needing a takeout container to bring about half of it home), she found the dish to be lacking in flavor and components (noting that more vegetables might have been nice). During this visit, I also ordered the spicy cucumber salad for the first time... and also found *that* side lacking in flavor. There was an itsy bitsy amount of spice... but for something marked on the menu as spicy? It wasn't what I was expecting. Service was fine, and the overall ambience of the restaurant is inviting and clean. The entrance/exit can be a bit rough for cars that are a bit lower to the road... just something to be aware of.
