I come on time to my appointment. The building's front door is locked. I press the doorbell for dental clinic. No one answers. I call them. No one answers. I try this multiple times for someone to answer. I ring the other doorbells for the other practices. I call the locksmith and they said they'll send someone to open the door for me. While I wait, a patient comes out of the building and lets me in. They say that their practice opened the door for them. I come into the dental practice and there are no lights on, no people. Completely empty on a Monday afternoon when I am supposed to have my dental cleaning. I go to the clinic across the hall and they tell me that this has been reoccurring with the patients of this dental clinic and they don't understand why. I am now putting together the pieces of why my dental cleaning got rescheduled a month later. Their dental clinic told me over the phone prior when they rescheduled me is that their contracted dental tech assistant's contract was over, so the doctor was going to do all of the cleanings. I understand now why people don't want to work here. Now that I am here waiting in an unlocked dental office with no prior notice of the absence of dental staff. I am so disappointed in the customer service of this practice. No prior notice, no communication, no device, no security. Nothing. Don't ever come to this dental practice because they will waste your time. Find somewhere else that doesn't. read more

Great dentist! Friendly staff! Very clean and updated and new equipment. Keeps the place super clean which is very important especially right now during COVID. They really try there best to schedule you in for emergencies. My wife and I both come here and my two younger kids as well. Chris the dentist is super patient and very good with my younger kids. I am writing this review on behalf of my 85 year old mother. She has been a patient of Dr. Mihalios for over 10 years. She recently had an appointment for a cleaning and or an evaluation for tooth extraction on 1/13/25. She was left outside, unable to get in. Finally, someone was leaving which allowed her to get into the building. The dr. called me to let me know that the appointment was not made correctly and he did not have the time for the cleaning and they rescheduled for 2 weeks later on 1/27/25. My mother handed him a check for $300 for the sparkle plan, which includes 2 cleanings and 15% discount of other services. When she showed up for her appt on 1/27/25, the same thing occurred. She couldn't get into the building again. I called 3 times, they finally answered to tell me the Dr. is sick and is not in. I asked why they didn't call my mother to let her know and their response was they were doing that now. I explained to them that my mother gets pre-medicated for any dental procedure and she's an elderly woman. I told them that we need a refund of the $300 check. The girl said she would let the Dr. know and he would call me back. It has been 2 weeks since then and I still cannot get anywhere with this office. This is horrible...how does Dr. Christopher Mihalios take a check for $300 from an 85-yr old woman on a fixed income when he very well knows that he will not do right by her. Dr. M has done two crowns for me and they both still bother me. My whole experience has been exhausting since July 2021 - 11 months ago)! The first crown he put in was in July 2021, following a root canal that was done by an Endodontist, and the other was following an implant done by a Periodontist a few months ago. The first crown issue was PARTIALLY due to a suspected problem with the root canal done by an Endodontist, but turns out (admittedly by Dr. M) that the root canal is FINE! so he keeps adjusting the crown, but it hasn't helped. The implant crown he put in is irritating my gum. The temporary crown that he made for the first crown had to be remade after a couple of months because it deteriorated and a hole formed, and my permanent crown hadn't come in yet. There was some type of delay with the permanent crown coming in because of Dr. M's office being closed for two weeks, due to he and his family having Covid. He told me he doesn't know what happened, that maybe the company tried to deliver it but since the office was closed, it couldn't be delivered! (Really??? No follow up for patients that are waiting for crowns???). I never received any notice about the office being closed, (or that I may be at risk for Covid), until I called to inquire if my crown had come in (after 4 weeks!). When the crown finally came in, he told me that the crown did not fit properly, so he had to get it remade. He claimed that my "teeth shifted"?? So, I had to go through the mold process AGAIN! When the permanent crown finally came in, he told me that he was going to use temporary cement in case it was still bothering me after that crown was on. However, his office assistant told me, as I was getting ready to leave, that he said he would not take out the crown to put it in with permanent cement unless it loosened up on its own!!! He kept adjusting the crown each time I complained & came back, trying to appease me, but nothing changed. I told him I think the crown is too large; he did not deny or admit it. I see it in the mirror; it is mis-shaped and noticeably larger than my other back molars, and I believe that's what the problem is. I'm just grateful that it's not a visible tooth. The implant crown Dr. Mihalios made for me is irritating my gum. He said he does not see any sign of infection so there's nothing to be done. When I insisted that it's pinching and irritating my gum, he told me to go back to the Periodontist who put the implant in, which I thought was a waste of time. I reluctantly went back to the Periodontist. The Periodontist also said he doesn't see any infection and he would speak to Dr. M. The Periodontist office subsequently told me he discussed with Dr. M and Dr M would be in touch with me. I waited another week and on June 1, I sent a text to Dr M, since I had not heard from him. He told me that he wasn't aware he was supposed to get in touch with me. I told him that I am NOT satisfied with the way it feels; my gum is irritated...Not every irritation is an infection....but it can turn into an infection. After some back and forth, he told me that I can come in and, if he sees any irritation, he will back out the crown & clean or contour it. He said his office will call me to schedule me for the following week. It's been two weeks, and I have not received a call from Dr. M's office to schedule the appt. Unfortunately, I have fully paid him quite a bit of money, in cash, for the crowns, because I trusted him. I was told if I use a credit card, there is 3% fee added! So I opted not to use a credit card. Dr. M only has office hours on Monday through Wednesday so it's impossible to get a follow-up appointment in a timely manner. He's always running behind, due to over-booking, trying to cram appts into only three days per week. The waiting room is cramped without any space for social distancing between seats. My visits have usually taken longer than necessary, because he rotates between rooms, working on 2 or 3 patients. After not receiving a call from his office to schedule me to evaluate the irritation, I'm DONE! I will see another dentist for evaluation! read more

The receptionist are so polite & knowledgeable as well. I have to say everyone in this dentist office know's their job & they know what they are doing. Upon entering the building I saw the sign for Boulevard Plaza Dental, Mezzanine it said so I got on the elevator to Mezzanine level. Right out of the elevator I found a deserted receptionist/waiting area. Except for the TV that was on, everything seemed closed. There were other offices on the level but they were closed as well I called Boulevard Plaza Dental number couple times thinking maybe someone will answer? but of-course it went through after hour recordings and no live person I could talk to. I was flabbergasted, thinking they forgot about me! I waited around thinking maybe someone will check the answering system but no luck, soon cleaning people came up the elevator to clean different office on the Mezzanine. I figure there's no use waiting longer so I wrote a note and I was about to leave when two gentlemen came out of the elevator and sat on the waiting area. They then told me that the office is downstairs on the 2nd floor. When I went down to 2nd floor and found the office entrance there was Dr.'s names on the wall, that's where I got lost!. When I first arrived I only looked for Boulevard Plaza Dental sign. For first timers, upon entering the building take the stairs left of the elevator, walk up a flight and Boulevard Plaza Dental office is right there. I think the office was really busy that evening, with patients and with phone calls and that's why all my calls went through the answering system. Although my first impression wasn't greatest due to this mishap, when I finally saw doctor Chris Mihalios close to 7pm, he greeted me warmly and told me that emails are the quickest way to reach them. Now for the real review, Dr. Mihalios took his time, he was very thorough examining my teeth before the X-Rays. He explained what my conditions were and advised me of alternatives. He gave me samples of toothbrushes and other staffs were very friendly and caring even-though they were staying late. No one rushed to go home early and I felt they treated me with care. It's hard to find compassionate doctors these days and regardless of my mishap, I am going back. So I checked out a new dentist! I came here by referral from a friend, but I have to be honest because I am a little yelp obsessed I read all the reviews and I really loved what I saw so I decided to go in for a cleaning. keep in mind I've been going to the same dentist for over 20 years so needless to say I was a little nervous. When I got to the office the girls at the desk were extremely professional and very kind and welcoming they were equally friendly when I called to schedule my appointment. I was brought into a "room "it's sort of an open air set up in there but was very nice where I had x-rays taken by a super friendly technician and then I saw the dentist who I heard someone call Dr. Chris seems a whole lot easier than his last name which I keep getting mixed up! Ha ha ha so Dr. Chris came into the office and gave me my exam checked all my teeth and we discussed any issues and explained everything he was looking at on the x-rays and then he proceeded to do my cleaning which I was very surprised because I've never had the dentist clean my teeth he said the hygienist was with someone else at the moment so that he was going to do it and he did an amazing job and was extremely gentle I've already recommended them to a friend and I will definitely be going back for my next cleaning and anything else I may need to have done! Chose to get my crown placed from here after seeing good reviews.(Now that I see it, they're all old.) I paid out of pocket for the crown back in April. They promised to contact me as soon as offices opened back up(Covid19), but never received it until I called them in July.(They've BEEN open.) My teeth has shifted at that point so they had to mold me a new one. Understandable. After he molded a new crown, he told me they were going to call in 3-4 weeks to come back in to place the permanent one. It's been almost two months and no call. I've tried calling them, around the 4.5 week mark: the first time, she told me they're all on vacation. I asked why they haven't called me before they left like they promised, because I worry my teeth will shift again and she told me they're busy. So call back next time when they're back. Okay. Second time, she said she's downstairs(?) so she'll call me right back on another phone. Never got it. Called again and this time, they asked me to call the next morning because it's almost closing time. At this point...it's ridiculous. They clearly have my crown laying around somewhere collecting dust and none of their employees see it and think, "We need to place this in for our patient! Where is she, someone call her." I'm 100% sure my teeth shifted again, it's been almost two months since they molded the crown and told me they'll call back. I'm sure I could have called aggressively everyday and find my way in their chair, but seriously, not only do I NOT want to be unpleasant, but I, as a working individual do not have the time. But why is it solely my responsibility to make sure that I, the PATIENT, is taken care of? I'm looking into processing a refund for this procedure entirely. I don't want to go back in and have to go through another crown molding session and listen to another empty promise about how they'll call when they receive the mold. At that point, they'll have three of my crowns laying around in a cabinet somewhere. I hate writing these awful reviews but they've been extremely stressful to work with. read more

They forgot to inform me that the cheap "free" toothbrush that was handed to me on my first visit was going to cost me said amount. I feel scammed. I was in NY for work and needed an emergency root canal. Friends recommended Dr. Mihalios and I went to him, thankful that he was local. When I got to the office the first thing you notice is how bright and airy it is, with art on the walls, lots of windows, a friendly staff and state of the art equipment. I was pleasantly surprised with how knowledgeable and professional Dr. Mihalios was, not to mention how gentle and skilled! This was not my first root canal and I more or less knew what to expect: I experienced little to no pain and could immediately tell that he was a well trained dentist. I left extremely satisfied. When I returned to my dentist in Beverly Hills for the necessary follow up (crown and post) the senior dentist, upon inspecting the work I had let someone else do in my mouth! asked me if it had been done by a specialist or endodontist because it was very well done and he was impressed that a younger dentist was capable of such work. I was happy to hear my BH dentist validate my belief that Dr. Miahlios had done a great job. I actually moved to NY and have seen Dr. Mihalios for my most recent check up. Last night at 9:30 PM I was chewing my dinner at home when I felt a pain in my back left molar- my filling came off and tooth cracked. I found Dr M on Yelp and due to the reviews I called (at that hour). To my astonishment he answered the phone, listened to my description of what happened, provided an email address for me to send my x ray to and then told me to come in for after hours assistance. 38 minutes later I was in the office where a very friendly and mild mannered doctor greeted me and told me exactly what to expect. I am VERY fearful of needles and dental work in general, he explained what the problem was, asked a thorough medical history and didn't bypass anything just because of the late hour. He had an assistant come in to help and two hours later I had a filling and the decay was drilled out. I have an appointment scheduled for next week to finish the job (he needed to take new X-rays and the swelling needed to go down for a hot nerve), and my anxiety had ABSOLUTELY been diminished considering I have never been through this procedure before. He didn't take shortcuts and made sure my comfort was a priority at all times. I cannot say enough about how delightful the "bedside manner" was. I am thankful. read more

This is the best dentist i've been to...Dr Mihalios is both sensitive and competent! The office is clean and has hi-tech equipment it uses for Xrays...an added bonus is that every dental chair also has an individual TV and you could pick a netflix, which I got a kick out of! Hahaha...I had to get a crown placed and Dr Mihalios was very patient throughout the whole process making sure it felt just right...he never gave me the impression that he was frustrated or in a rush! I have always steered clear of the dentist. But since I came to boulevard plaza dental I have a different out look. They are all super friendly and make you feel relaxed even though they know your nervous. Dr. Mihalios is down to earth and speaks to you not just as your dentist but as your friend. He really cares about everyone that sits into the chair. I have a lot of work to be done on my teeth and the dr and the office works with you since most insurances don't cover your teeth.(isn't that nice). Blvd Plaza Dental is outstanding! Dr. Chris Mihalios and his staff are all very professional, courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable. I recently broke a tooth and was going away the very next day, I found Blvd Dental since it was near by and spoke directly to Dr. Chris and he saw me immediately the same night after his office hours and knew what happened just by what we discussed over the phone. As I walked in Blvd Plaza Dental I was greeted with a smile and was examined immediately by Chris, Chris repaired my tooth and I was up and out of there within 20 minutes. I was so pleased that he was able to fix me up and send me going so that I was able to enjoy my vacation and chew without any worries. I highly recommend Blvd Plaza Dental!
