The building is located in the Thanksgiving Point area, down the street from the Younique Building. The building is massive and beautiful, very inviting. The president shared a beautiful story of how this organization started, which inspired my nephew to want to volunteer and share the message. We got to see the auditorium where our "dance recital" was shown over a projector, but the participants were able to get up and be interactive. What a great organization which is so valuable to the community! We need more organizations like this!

Getting together a bunch of women who have lived in secrecy , pain, shame and deep loneliness gave us what we needed as kids. Safety, belonging and a sisterhood of wonderful friends is how we left the retreat. THIS is a legitimate mental health organization, with specially trained therapists. It may seem scary, the unknown, but the truth is if you are unlucky enough meet the qualifications to make it to the retreat, you will be safe, cared for and given the tools to resolve what that abuse has done to your mind, emotions, spirit and body.

The people who run this organization are incredibly charitable and put so much effort into these dogs and cats. I recently visited and they had three dogs available. They were happily running around inside their enclosures outside under the shade of the tree. There were lots of other dog runs/kennels that looks much smaller, but also like they were no longer in use. There were not a lot of animals to choose from-but maybe that's because they all found homes or were in foster homes when we visited. Hopefully that's the case-and they are getting closer to their goal of No More Homeless Pets!

The kittens were always very well taken care of and you could tell that they came from quality foster homes. Very reasonable, adoption fees, spayed, and neutered and current on vaccinations. I've also had the pleasure of fostering kittens with Second Chance. The owner does what she says and supplies you with everything you need to take care of the animals. The commitments are not long and she is able to take the animals back as promised and on time. I recently was in there, and there was a woman trying to adopt a dog. It was obvious the woman did not have a home. The owner was not going to allow the woman to adopt the dog because she did not have a safe place for the dog to live. Although the woman was very upset, the owner was very professional and kind as she explained that she could not in good conscience adopt a pet out that didn't have a safe environment. percent she is concerned about the welfare of the animals. I will always refer people to them whether they're in the market to adopt an animal or if they're interested in fostering or volunteering there it's a great place with low overhead and a lot lot of love.!

I have a physical disability which is why I can't provide for my family and need help but the rules here are so hard to work with. A new rule has now made it so I can't go anymore. They have restricted that only one person go inside and I can't do the walking and shopping and I don't have one person that will be able to go every time for me. In the past I have just taken one person that was available to help. I don't know how single mothers that can't afford babysitters are supposed to come. You get one appointment time every two weeks and if your schedule changes or you can't make it you are out of luck. It is just too bad that help for those that truly need it is so hard to get.

I found Bridle Up Hope as I needed to put in community service hours towards earning my Black Belt…read more I previously volunteered at a therapeutic riding program back in Maryland, so I wanted to volunteer a similar place to help give back to our animal spirit friends as well as the women in this program. I loved the mission Bridle Up Hope (BUH) stood for, so I asked to sign up for service. Bridle Up Hope provides equine therapy and empowerment for women. They have a riding program in which women learn to work with, take care of, and learn to ride horses to help with confidence and self-esteem, as well as work through challenges in life. They have great seminars and workshops open to those in the riding program including the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Yoga, self defense, and arts classes, among some of the activities and seminars. They offer scholarships for women to help with cost too, but the takeaways from this program I'm sure are priceless! My niece enrolled in a program similar to this, and she left with much more confidence! Bridle Up Hope also has a boutique for BUH accessories and clothing, as well as a beautiful event hall!

Then I became one of them and realized that it's still pretty true. But you get what you put in to it, and if you are willing to set aside stereotypes and immerse yourself in the goodness that can be had, you'll benefit-even if you're not a tech bro. Check out a workshop, a panel discussion or a networking group. Come with an open mind and be willing to listen more than you speak. There's bound to be a nugget of goodness or two.

Since moving to Lehi, I have become very familiar with Silicon Slopes and their movement. While I…read moream not necessarily in a tech or startup company, I find Silicon Slopes to be a fascinating organization. While learning more about Silicon Slopes, it has blown me away to see just how many companies sponsor them. Huge names local to Utah like Harmon's, Young Living, the Utah Jazz, University of Utah Health and Zions Bank sponsor them. While there are also massive corporations sponsoring them as well such as Amazon Web Services, Google, American Express, Adobe, Nasdaq, Overstock, iHeartMedia, and AAA. It is truly incredible to see the community that Silicon Slopes is building for entrepreneurs and I love the mission behind what they are doing. Silicon Slopes believes opportunity may only exist to all if we are willing to extend it to all; the work they are doing is a perfect reflectance of such. Recently, I attended my first "Silicon Slopes Conversation". At first, I was really intimidated to walk in. As I sat in my car, I noticed the crowd walking in was all men twice my age that could be CEOs or huge names in businesses too. Upon walking in, I was greeted by the girl at the front desk and she checked me into the event. She was super kind and was concise about how the event was going to go. I walked in and went to grab myself some lunch that was provided. They had chicken, broccoli, potatoes, and salad catered in. They also had cold bottled waters available. From there, I went to take a seat at the desks that they had arranged in front of the stage. I LOVED the desks so much--I can't think of any other public, adult setting that has implemented desks like this but I really enjoyed it. Part of that stems from the fact that I value my personal space and I also just love how unique it is. We were able to view a live interview with a CEO, just a few feet away from us. There was so much valuable information and I always find other people's stories to success to be fascinating. After the official interview, they opened a Q&A up to the crowd for any additional questions they may have for the interviewee. Once all proposed questions were answered, people broke off to chat more. The fact that Silicon Slopes puts this on for free-lunch included, is absolutely incredible to me! It is such an awesome experience as it is, but not having to pay admission or for the food provided is a great added perk to the already awesome event. The lasting impression for me personally with Silicon Slopes was nothing short of amazing. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. I have been to other experiences similar and I have been dismissed and belittled because of being a clear minority in the room, because my journey may not be the same as others, or because I may not as "high up" as others at the moment. However, my experience with Silicon Slopes was not like this at all. My interactions with others felt very open-minded and inspirational. I felt empowered and like I belong. I was so thankful that I was given a chance and that it was such an incredible, welcoming experience. If there is anything you take from this review, I hope it is to be as open-minded to Silicon Slopes as they are to all of us. There are so many opportunities to be involved and get to experience the cool things they put together. Find a way to make it to the Summit or one of the career conversations someday soon. There is so many takeaways, so many things you can learn, and so many cool connections you can make because of it.

There is not a boring inch in the whole facility as they even decorate their employee access doors with intricate art work. Tasteful planters everywhere. The employees and volunteers are helpful and friendly. Such interesting information on species and habitats. A shout out for their café. Reasonable prices for delicious food. It was $13 for a pub smash burger and drink and fries. Only a couple of bucks more than a #1 at In-N-Out. It was really tasty! Bun was homemade delicious. The fries were exceptional. Crispy outside and creamy inside. Garlic fries. My wife had the Romain lettuce something bowl with pulled pork. She said it was excellent. Very generous portion as she got full half way through. My son then scarfed it down. I also couldn't resist and had to buy a chocolate cupcake. Very moist and the frosting was real frosting, not the yucky, airy stuff that grocery stores put on their sheet cakes. Pretzels are amazing. We did the ECCO virtual reality "ride." Of course, not anywhere near a Disneyland level of a ride, but it was informative and interesting and fun. You can do the ocean or Amazon river experience. We did both. This is free and included in your admission. I really like how they put benches to sit throughout the facility. When you visit such places, you get "mall legs" and sitting down is a respite. Highlights: Penguins! (So cute and funny!), shark tunnel, touch ponds, otters, jelly fish, giant fish, aviary. There is a very nice little kids' playground. Interesting to get an up close look at the claw (ECCO). [It was the staging for U2's 360° concert tour for lighting, video, sound, SFX. The aquarium owner saw it was for sale and bought it. it was dissembled, shipped, and re-assembled.] Get there when they open or close to it for close in parking and less crowds. Such a great place to have nearby. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. They had a lot of animals that isn't usually common to see at an Aquarium. I saw huge roaches (YEEUUCKKKK), they had a snow leopard, a Komodo dragon, sea otters and some more. Where the sea otters are it looked like the beautiful formation rocks in Utah. We had such a good time.
