Amazing! Highly recommend! I love everything about this place! Literally everything and so does my daughter. She walked in and immediately gravitated to the movie themed walls. She sat down at the iPad station and completely forgot we were waiting for the dentist. Even walking down the hallways seeing all the different walls and rooms, we were excited to see which room was ours. Dr. Spaeth did our cleaning and always filled two cavities! Amazing at keeping her calm, relaxed and engaged during both visits . Every team member we met was incredible. Efficient and with clear communication every step of the way! Very relieved we found this pediatric dental practice or we'd be in big trouble by now I'm sure lol. The waiting room is already an experience, with popcorn and a mini movie theater while you're waiting. Every room is themed to a certain movie or character which is immediately inviting. When the kid is reclined in the dental chair, they have direct view of whatever show they request as a "distraction" and their flavors for brushing come off a "menu" with yummy sweet treat or fruit flavors that don't seem so scary. The hygienists and dentists have all been very informative, patient, and kind, for cleanings and xrays but also when we had an emergency appt with a trauma to a front tooth from an accident. My daughter's favorite part is the balloon at the end and (we just started participating in it) the no cavity bell is really cute and fun.. I think between the movie theater and the balloon there's no dread or complaints when we mention she has a dental appt which is shocking since I know plenty of adults who complain! Whenever we get to billing I'm always a little confused about the breakdown but they usually answer questions to help clarify. Thank you for great service with our littles! read more

The only thing my child got from this practice are two abscesses and a cavity underneath a filling. Now either the dentists didn't get the entire cavity out or they use bad quality products. It might be the quality as I had to come back multiple times for chips in the filling only to be told by Brenda that I must be doing something to cause this. The only thing I got was a used car salesman in the form of a woman named Brenda who tried to sell you things your child doesn't need or if I tell her I'll have the procedure done elsewhere, like a good salesman she continues to sell you their practice down your throat, make you feel stupid (or a bad parent) and doesn't take no for an answer. When you tell her this, she lies about it. Not understanding that no means no seems to be a common theme at this place as one of the dental hygienists did not listen to me when I said my child had a bad gag reflex and nearly brought him to throwing up in their practice! I told her repeatedly to stop, she didn't listen until I could tell my child was going to throw up so I walked over about to grab my child away from her and that's when she stopped. I couldn't believe it. The only redeeming quality about the place is a woman named Jackie. Very friendly, caring and smart. She seems to be the only person who knows how to do her job and for this you can tell the other workers feel threatened by her. She deserves better than this place. read more

This place is amazing for kids!!! I've never met a more patient and understanding team of dentists and assistants. I brought in my son once a week for several months until he was desensitized and willing to get a cleaning. Everyone was so nice every single time and stopped what they were doing as soon as my son felt overwhelmed. They truly want kids to enjoy their visit to the dentist. My son always walks out with a balloon and trinkets to make him feel special. My insurance doesn't cover this practice but the out of pocket price was worth every penny. Very money hunger place. I went there twice with my two kids, spent more than $1K out of pocket, and I have TWO insurances, one of them is premier dental insurance! Doctors and some hygienists are good, but they are way over charged if your kid need any procedures more than filling. Btw, one hygienist named Denise didn't clean my daughter's plaques well. Both of my kids (son almost 10 and daughter almost 6) went here for the first time. I was happy and a little bit upset at the same time. First: Excellent receptionist who made my appointment. Took time to find me the right spot that I needed. Excellent receptionist when arrived. Told us about all the great areas in the waiting room. For my son: Dental hygienist who was with my son, took time to help explain all the items and was very patient when it came to calming his nerves. For my daughter: Dental hygienist was someone else. First my daughter was in a room near the front of the office. She was crying and upset when they tried to take x-rays. This hygienist didn't seem very patient or caring. She just basically said, we are moving to a different area. We were moved to a back area. Since my daughter was still very upset and crying, the hygienist just rushed to clean her teeth. The hygienist did not look at her teeth first, did not look for sugar pockets (like the hygienist who took care of my son did). Yes, I know it could be hard for the hygienist to deal with a crying and upset child, but you would think if you are working at a pediatric dental place, you would be more caring and understanding. The one for my son was. The whole staff seemed to help calm my daughter except for the dental hygienist. I do plan on bringing back both kids. My son already has an appointment for additional work and both kids have appointments for cleaning and check-ups for 6 months. Hopefully, my daughter will be better and less upset, but if not, I sure hope I get a similar hygienist like my son had. read more

A phenomenal place to take your kids! Such a great experience start to finish. My son needed some baby teeth removed that were just not coming out on their own. We needed sedation due to some of his anxieties and past dentist experience. The office could not have been more accommodating with him. The consult was great. Visit Date: January 15, 2021 After my soon to be ex burned the bridge we had with the other pediatric dentist we were going to, before I filed for divorce we started taking our son here...well I started to because I needed a dentist one day and we got him here on an emergency appointment. They've been amazing here, our son had a fused tooth and they put him under to pull it, it was an emotional and scary day but they put us at ease and were very professional. They just recently filled a cavity on the visit date I'm reviewing and were terrific about it, they know how to talk to the kids and take care of them and are as gentle as possible with the procedures they have to do. I usually don't write reviews but I had such a good experience here thanks to the assistant Nikki. When we first came here my oldest daughter was an emergency appointment and we found out she needed an extraction. I was obviously not expecting that and overwhelmed but Nikki was so understanding and explained everything to us and kept my daughter calm and talked to her and tried to soothe her as best she could with encouraging words. I brought my youngest daughter here after as well who needed fillings. We got lucky with her second filling to get Nikki she is just great with kids and definitely a great worker. My daughter has her last filling today and is looking forward to seeing Nikki and the toys she gets after lol. Even if you don't get Nikki as your assistant all of the staff including the receptionist are so nice and polite and friendly. read more

Everything from the external decor, to the movie theater and popcorn to the fun room designs and tvs on the ceiling.... they truly think of every way possible to make the dentist as easy and fun of an experience as possible for your children. I found That Broadway Smile on Long Island Facebook group pages. That Broadway Smile comes as highly recommended by moms of special needs children. The receptionist over the phone was very pleasant and making an appointment was easy, despite it being a 1-2 month wait for a very specific date I wanted. I arrived with my son in their parking lot 7 minutes prior to my appointment time. I noticed there were many people waiting inside their cars so I called the office as soon as I parked to see if I should wait inside or proceed in since I never got a heads up of what to do when we arrive... I just assumed we go straight in. The receptionist took our information and told us to wait. I did not like how when setting the appointment we were not told in advance to call when we get in the parking lot... rather I saw parents park and walk to the door, read the sign that we have to call to announce we are here and then proceed to have to go back in the car and wait... all while having their child. It doesn't seem to be a big deal but when you're managing an uncooperative, screaming child you really need to be prepared... and not want to walk towards destination, only to turn back around. We were not called in until nearly 25 minutes after our scheduled time. Mind you, we had a morning appointment so I can only imagined how backed up they would be by afternoon. My 3 year old was getting restless sitting in a motionless car so had to take turns walking around the parking lot and sitting in the car. The dentist and her assistant were fine. Although I heard the dentist repeatedly ask the assistant for a toothbrush and was ultimately told she did not have one in the room... which is odd considering a toothbrush is a very basic and necessary equipment in a dental office. Not exactly a great time to not have proper tools when I was bear hugging my crying preschooler to keep his arms and legs from flailing around. Finally two assistants must've overheard outside the room and brought a toothbrush in. The dentist was quick and it was over before we know it. We went to make a 6 month appointment. The receptionist said it was best to make one in the morning given my son's age. Of course I would normally agree and am usually all about morning appointments but he has school. She suggested he can go to school late. I'm sorry but my son is special needs and every class room day is very important for him... much more than a dental visit. In that case I'd rather wait an extra month when the school year ends before we come in for our next visit (come back in 7 months instead of 6). I asked about May weekend availability and they did have. I am not sure why that was not offered without me asking. But now I come home and realize I better reschedule that appointment because it is a 11:30 appointment which means we won't be seen until probably at least noon and I am not dealing with a hungry child because a dental practice cannot manage their time. As I was leaving, I was asked if I could put in a good review for them online. I've always hated when places ask me to put online reviews for them because it really puts me in a difficult position, particularly because I can be very honest which sometimes means less than stellar reviews. This place is very much a factory with multiple rooms. Fairly poor lit. It was very narrow and almost felt like a maze to me. It is not very intimate. You would definitely feel like a number there. Does it matter to most people? Probably not. The interior itself feels like a fantasy land. Very unique and fun. I love how the small kids get a balloon and a goody bag when they're done. Overall I think this practice is okay from my one experience. Mostly it was the wait that really frustrated me. And the semi-awkward encounter I had at the end with the receptionist. read more

We have been coming to all of the dentists here for 17 years. Everyone is wonderful from the receptionists to the hygienists and dentists. My kids go to the dentist with a smile and no worries at all. Movie theater, cupcake toothpaste, video games, ceiling TVs, but most importantly GREAT bedside manner with kids to eliminate fear. This is the best pediatric dental office ever!!! The place is amazing!!! It has a movie theater, multiple tablets to play games, and a lot of freebies for the kids. You get through right away and the staff are all nice. Though encountered several of the staff, the ones that stood out to me was Jackie at the reception desk, the dental assistant Vicky, and Dr. Nesnay. They all were professional, nice, and friendly. I'm a person that ask a lot of questions to where you can get annoyed, but they did not. They were patient and explained everything until I understood. Just had a great visit with my 7 year old daughter. After a consultation with an orthodontist, she needed to have 2 teeth extracted and 2 devices placed to help with spacing. As usual, all of the staff and especially Dr. Meyer were wonderful with her. Brought my 16 month old daughter to her first dentist appointment today. The staff was very nice, the dental assistant was amazing, the Dentist was very to the point and I really like that about her. The one thing I do have to recommend is that when making NEW PATIENT APPOINTMENTS, make sure you add where the main entrance is (Back of the building) and for Patients to stay in their cars and call the office when they arrive. I had to walk a block in the rain with my daughter bc I had no idea there was a parking lot in the back of the building and I had to walk back to my car bc the waiting room was not open to Patients. Which I completely understand, but would have loved to have known that prior to my appointment. I made an appointment here for my daughter after some great reviews ive read about. My daughter was 4 when they saw her and she's had a bad experience with other dentist (in that they didn't particularly cater to children ) so she naturally at four was scared. I thought we'd get the treatment like everyone else I heard about but nope i didn't, instead I got the last appointment of the day (which I didn't realize until we were there) and were basically rushed. The "assistant" who was cleaning my daughters teeth and doing xrays CLEARLY wanted to go home was rushing not being patient with my daughter at all.... another assistant (blonde hair super sweet )came to assist the assistant !! She offered my kid a toy and spoke so sweetly to her and her whole approach was just what I was told this place would be. Not the brunette with glasses I got stuck with. I saw dr.nessnay who rushed through the appointment sticking her hand through my daughters mouth kind of rough (but I kept quiet) my daughter started to cry and I realized she had a huge canker sore on her top gum between her gum and top lip, you'd think that would deter the doctor from pulling her lip wide or put her fingers there nope she didn't care she wanted to get in and get out. Which surprised me because I'd heard how kind and gentle this doctor was and how patient they were ( even heard a story about her having a child come in not get any work done just so they could get use to the idea of going to the dentist with zero fear) So naturally I thought this place would be perfect for my girl who has trepidation in a dental environment bc she's four! .... Finally as I go to pay and the sweet blonde assistant offered my daughter a balloon to cheer her up and For her and her kind attitude toward my daughter I was grateful As I was at the front desk they took forever to charge me and go over pricing for future appointments even daring to suggest my kid be put in a " hugging blanket" for her appointment which is basically a straight jacket to hold her in .... I said hell no! THIS is suppose to make her experience with the dentist great?! And make her want to come back !? THIS is what everyone was saying was such a great place !? As I'm speaking at the desk everyone's literally locking up around us.... our nasty assistant is the first one leaving in a rush. Even putting fluoride in my kids teeth she did rushing only after I reminded her and she didn't even have her do it in a seat !! she was standing by the exit applying the fluoride !! nothing to have her spit no small suction to help her with her saliva or drool or bad taste. I understand no rinsing but she couldn't even spit ? Or even SIT while this was being done!? I'm so so so disappointed with this place shocked at the experience I had I thought this was going to be our new dentist where my kids could feel safe happy excited to be in and I promise I'll never go back. The prices are a joke if you choose the in house treatment plan and I refuse to pay $400 for my kid to have a filling on a super tiny baby tooth as well as there pushy idea that she wear a "blanket"/straight jacket ...on top of sedation! read more

That Broadway Smile truly put a smile on her face! I researched a lot of dental offices, looking for one that would be patient with my children who are both very nervous at the dentist. Appointment was made well in advance. We were reduced to standing outside the office in the front, on a street, 75 degree day, for over 30 minutes with a 3 year old. Imagine the impatience. Most offices really seek feedback so let me offer a bit more. Aside from the lateness, which was without apology, I was told both parents can enter the office, or take turns to be with your child when the appointment was made. At the office we were told only one parent can enter, Yet another roadblock to a smooth visit. I had full PPE but was reduced to being on a FaceTime call to see my child have a teeth cleaning. To appease her fears, I went to a local store to get her a treat. I showed her a chocolate bar on FaceTime and to my surprise, the dentist out loud said "good job dad" and to my ex, "I can't help you with that." Very unprofessional. Remember when dentists gave lollipops after a visit? Things may have changed but it was more than uncalled for to hear. Good news? No cavities. And my daughter got a cleaning. But, see below also.. My older child has been to this office before, many times. I called to make an appointment for my younger child for his first visit. I specifically asked "do you take this insurance" i was told YES and she read my member ID number back to me that they ALREADY had on file. We made the appointment. I came in, as I'm checking out I'm told "I'm out of network" so i must pay for the entire visit out of pocket and hope i get reimbursed. They failed to mention i was out of network when booking my appointment or when i was checked in. Thanks for misleading me and now I'm out over $200 right before the holidays. I'm so disgusted with this office especially since I'm a returning patient. I work for a doctor and verify insurance so this isn't a foreign language to me. This office knew what they were doing. Office was amazing... all of the front desk staff were so polite and informative... Every single person on the staff was amazing... my daughter was very nervous going to the dentist knowing that she had to have a lot of dental work done, they were great with her. This office staff really knows how to talk to a child and handle their anxiety and fear, they made it a fun experience for her. After my 5 year old left (after having 2 teeth pulled, a crown and root canal and spacer put in) her mouth filled with bloody gauze, we stopped on the way home to get ice cream and standing on line at checkout, my daughter pulls my coat and says "Mom, when can I go back to the dentist again?!?" My two children came to the office today for their very first dental visits. Our hygienist Amanda was amazing. She really helped make the visit easy breezy and kept my 3 & 4 year olds engaged in the whole process. Dr. Meyer was very friendly when he came in at the end of the visit even asking my 3 year old about what he was drawing earlier (with his marker stained hands). I was nervous about taking my kids to the dentist. The office is beautiful and clean with cute movie themed rooms. The office staff made the kids introduction to their dental care perfect. Our regular dentist had referred us here after seeing our children needed extensive work. I was thrilled they suggest this place as I had heard rave reviews from several friends in our town. We go to the initial appointment and I left with a pit in my stomach. I knew my children were going to need a lot of work done and I knew it was going to cost some out of pocket money. When we got in to see the doctor, she had explained the work my son needed to have done. She started to do his cleaning and was continuing to explain what he needed and that someone would be in to discuss and insurance and costs. I asked if they offered payment plans because at the time, I couldn't pay all at once. The dentist literally got up mid cleaning and walked out of the room, saying "I will have someone from billing come talk to you before I continue." I was absolutely horrified at this and she left my son sitting in the chair confused and feeling like HE did something wrong. At that appointment he needed a tooth pulled and while they were finishing up someone from billing finally came to talk to me. My son asked the assistant where I went and she flat out told him your mom is talking to someone to figure out how to pay for this. I find it so unprofessional that you would tell a then 7 year old that. What broke my heart about this even more was my son tried to give me his "tooth fairy" money to help me pay for his dental work. The next day I had to bring my daughter in for her cleaning and consult. Fortunately, our experience was much better and I spoke up about what happened the day before. The staff was very helpful that day and worked with me and assured me that my experience is not typical and were even able to work with me on out of pocket costs. I left that appointment willing to give them another chance. Our 3rd appointment was ok. My only complaint was that I needed to remind them of the discounts they were able to provide me. Our 4th appointment was ok, and again needed to remind them of the discounts applied to us. Our last appointment, and the straw that broke the camels back, we are brought in through the maze as usual and my daughter goes in for her work, she comes out and I go to check out. I was initially told that everything for this appointment was covered by insurance and there was no out of pocket cost. I go to the counter and was told I owe $500+ for the visit. The receptionist walks over to the billing person, who was just a few steps away from me and they begin looking into what happened. Mind you, I am a few steps away and within ear shot. I hear the billing person say to the receptionist that my insurance maxed out (which is understandable and happens). Not once did the billing person address me and when I asked why I was told I maxed out when they confirmed the appointment, they told me they don't know until the time of the appointment, which I find hard to believe. Once again, they were able to apply a discount to our visit which helped with the cost, but at this point, the damage was done. My final gripe is that I dont even think I have met the doctor who worked on my children. I understand that because of COVID protocols, things were different and I couldnt be in the room because I had my other child with me, but not once did the doctor introduce himself or come out with my children after their appointment to say they did a good job, or explain what he did. Needless to say, when we are due for our next cleanings we will be finding another dentist. I have never in my life experienced a doctors office who was so money hungry and just treated you like a number or an ATM machine. Disappointed isnt even the word for how I am feeling after hearing such wonderful things about this practice.
