We started searching for donuts and this listing popped up. The breakfast sandwiches looked good too so we decided to give it a try. The stuffed French toast was the best I've ever had - loved the fruit syrup too! The donuts go quick so come early - I'm sure they were good too!

    Montecristo sandwich...amazing!

Such an awesome find! I went here for a quick lunch. I had a sandwich and soup and bought bakery items to go the sandwich and the soup were awesome. Highly recommend this place! Check the hours and days that they're open because they aren't open every single day. Very friendly staff.

The food was so good here! This is possibly the best chicken fried steak I've ever had. And the sourdough toast is homemade and delicious. Even the coffee was good coffee. Some restaurants skimp on that. The service was very friendly and the ambience is casual and welcoming .

Great little place in Lead. It seems to be the only 'cute' breakfast place in town. Most places in town are not as well done. Definitely recommend if you are a visitor looking for breakfast and coffee. They have a grab and go selection of pastries and coffee, or you can sit down with the full menu. Staff was very friendly with a rustic ambiance. They are closed the majority of the week so make sure you look at the hours!

Been here a couple times! Favorite is the gravy and biscuit. I wish the bar in the back was open more often as we would come out more.

Our group of 3 had corn beef hash, salad with chicken, pancakes, eggs and bacon. The pancakes were described as "the best restaurant pancakes I've ever had" We walked in about 30 minutes before they were closing (1:30pm closing time) but were welcomed warmly and our waitress was attentive and chipper without hovering. And even with iced tea and a soda, the total was $33. If we're ever this way again we'll definitely come back.

Everything from the attitude greeting at the door to paying the incorrect tab amount. It was awful. It took us a minute to find parking and finally found a spot up the street. We walked in and immediately the lady said how many people, we said 4 and she then said 'Well we have a limited menu today. You can get a breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich or biscuits and gravy'. All of us were fine with that and said that is okay, then she looked around the room and said 'Well it is going to be a while' and then walked away. Not even a hi when we walked in the door, just straight to trying to drive us away. I went to the restroom and as I came out a table of 5 people that all had biscuits and gravy was being sent back the kitchen. That didn't look good since that is what I wanted. I heard the server ask the cook if he could heat them all up. I guess they were all cold. I could deal with that. We stood around waiting for about 15-20 minutes and the I walked over to their tiny casino area and threw in $5 to waste some time. Finally the same rude chic said to us that she had 2 high top 2 seat tables if we wanted to split. We were tired of waiting so we took them. Then we waited and waited. We watched several people come in and wait to be greeted and never spoken to, so they leave disgruntled. We waited maybe another 15-20 minutes watching other tables wait for their food and even their drinks to come. We finally got asked what we wanted to drink. We got iced tea each and ordered our limited menu breakfast. And then we waited FOREVER. The table next to us finally got their food in 2 waves with about 5-10 minutes apart. The server said the cook cannot make the gravy fsst enough. Honestly, they shouldn't have the biscuits and gravy on the menu if it takes that long. And why couldn't they have a basic breakfast, eggs, hash brown ham or sausage and toast. This was literally the items on the sandwich or the burrito. Would have made things easier for the cook. Our food finally arrived. My husbands breakfast sandwich looked amazing and it was steaming hot. My biscuits and gravy were good.... at first. One biscuit was light and fluffy but when I got to the second biscuit it was completely burned on the bottom. I couldn't even cut it. I gave up. The server gave us our tab and charged up for an omelet and hash browns for $13. They didn't even have omelets available! Then when my husband questioned the bill and the server started arguing with him. How are you going to charge us for something you don't even offer? It was ridiculous. Overall we were there for almost 2 hours which cut in to our drive time to come back to Denver. Thanks, but I won't ever be back.

Looked over the menu I decided on a Cuban sandwich which was delicious. So the flavors melding together. Was only able to eat half a sandwich nice size. Served with tater tots which were crunchy. Imagine my disappointment when the following things took place. - I ordered a ribeye and it was the toughest ribeye that I had ever had with lots of gristle in the meat. - I ordered a loaded baked potato which consisted of putting cheese in it (no butter or sour cream) but it didn't matter anyway because baked potato was cold, I don't mean not hot, it was COLD. I sent it back as they basically said sorry there is nothing that we can do. I turned to someone who had gotten the same potato, and it was also cold. Don't worry, they still tried to upcharge me for the loaded part on my bill. -We had two others order the sirloin and one was literally half the size as the other and severely over cooked -I ordered a tap beer and it came to me 90% foam and I was told to just wait until it settled. -The waiter did nothing to help out with anyone's complaints, he literally ignored what people said to him and just kept doing whatever he was doing. -It was like the whole crew was the "B" crew for the night. I do not see why I would ever go there again or why you should waste your money for subpar service and food.

As someone who has spent over 30 years in Food & Beverage--ranging from FOH and BOH to management…read moreand operations--I rarely write reviews this critical. However, after visiting this location every two years for the last eight years, I have officially reached "Strike Three." Before addressing the failures, I must commend Mitch, the bartender/cocktail server. He was absolutely amazing, providing the quickest service of the night and doing everything in his power to accommodate the mounting issues. The staff, in general, were apologetic, but they clearly lack the operational support needed to succeed. Despite the hotel being "dead" for a Saturday night, the food service was a catastrophe: They were out of almost every standard side, including baked potatoes and vegetables. I ordered the King Prime Rib. It arrived gray, cold to the touch, and completely flavorless. It came with a side salad and I was told they were out of side salads, only to later discover they simply didn't want to chop the heads of lettuce. When a salad finally arrived, the lettuce hadn't been washed and tasted like dirt. My salad was replaced with baked beans without my consent, further complicating a simple order. Moving dining to just eight tables in a gaming room was a significant tactical error that killed the atmosphere and flow. I was blown away to see table caddies and cutting utensils stored directly on the floor under the cash register on the gaming floor. This is a fundamental health code failure. The Room The room was "fine" but unremarkable. While it smelled clean, the decor is dated (as expected for an older property). However, the chair in our room was heavily stained, which dampened the "clean" impression. I only come home every few years, and I keep hoping this place will improve. Instead, it has consistently declined. To management: You have good people like Mitch, but your operations, kitchen standards, and basic sanitary protocols are failing them--and your guests.

We were looking forward to eating a good Indian Taco while driving the Spearfish Canyon Loop, but…read moreour first choice was closed when we got there. Frantically searching for another place, we found that Horseshoe Restaurant, located inside the First Gold Gaming Resort, had made-to-order Indian Tacos. We decided to stop in for dinner. Hot Cheese Bites ($5.50) - I wasn't sure what these were when I ordered them, but hey, fried cheese is never bad. It turns out that these are pretty similar to fried cheese curds, with a very soft interior with barely any chew. Commercial frozen curds perhaps? Still, they are fried perfectly with a light crisp on the exterior and served piping hot. According to the menu, the cheese bites are supposed to come with hot honey but the server was confused and asked what dressing we wanted, of which we selected ranch. (4/5) Indian Taco ($14.95) - The base frybread is a five inch diameter puck that's quite thick. It doesn't have the traditional frybread texture - instead of being fluffy and airy like a donut, it's quite dense, reminding me of the texture of a soft pretzel. The frybread has distinctive docking holes on the bottom, which prevents rising, hence the denseness. I wonder why they do that? It does taste freshly fried and is topped with seasoned beef, shredded iceberg lettuce, cheese, olives, and pico. The seasoned beef is ground into small particles and reminded me of a Taco Bell-esque extruded meat. It's quite salty but seasoned well. (2.5/5) Everything seemed to be made fresh to order - it took around 15 minutes to receive our food even though the restaurant wasn't that full. Also, unlike reviews on other platforms, we had no issues with the service whatsoever. Bathrooms: Larger ones. You can also go in the casino for more bathrooms.
