We arrived on a Tuesday at 12:30 pm and there was a 15-minute wait to be seated. After we were seated, we were served with fresh bread, Amish peanut butter, and apple butter. It was very much appreciated because breakfast was several hours ago and we were starving. We proceeded to order and share the fried chicken dinner with fries and the smoked ham platter with mashed potatoes, gravy, and bread. The fried chicken was a bit small, however everything else was plentiful. We were stuffed but we had a room for dessert. We shared the old-fashioned sugar cream pie with vanilla ice cream. It was a glorious way to wrap up the meal! Since we were concluding a road trip, I did not want to have to cook after arriving home. We ordered homestyle meatloaf with potato salad and country roast beef with sweet potato casserole for take-out. The waitstaff planned very accordingly and had the kitchen prepare it so that the take-out will be ready once our meal concluded. Everything held up well on our three hour drive. My one complaint is that the meatloaf was a tad dry and did not come with sauce like a classic one normally does. When you are in an Amish community, it is almost wrong to not pick up baked goods. We also stopped by the bakery and bought peanut butter, sweetheart jam, Dutch apple pie, and banana cream pie. Whole pies are approximately $16.99 each. They were delicious!

I love pie. This place is pie heaven. There's salad, bread, soup, entrees and sides too - all cooked Amish style. I loved the beef noodles, meatloaf, and broccoli salad. I sampled some other dishes, but had to save room for pie. There were some really delicious puddings too - blueberry with fresh blueberries in it and a warm bread pudding. Delicious! Service was quick and friendly and I think it's a good value for $22. It's best to arrive early and plan for a long walk afterwards (to work off the pie).
