I was drinking a tall absolute, madori, and orange juice which ended up being only $4. Wow!!! I'm in love. Not only were the prices cheap, but they served perch which was out of this world. The fish was moist and perfectly flaky with a salty batter which gave the fish a delicious flavor. Then, I saw the pull tabs and the fun began. Our party was at least 100 people and there was plenty of room in the hall for all of us. I enjoyed my time there.

My room was amazing, the bed was very comfortable and everything was clean and well maintained. You even had a robe you could purchase if you wanted, which was great for a ND fan like me. The staff here was also incredibly polite and I felt very taken care of. The conference spaces were amazing as well, and the food during the conference was delicious! We sat outside overlooking the vineyard. Molly was our server. She was friendly and engaging. Lunch was a walleye sandwich with chips for hubby and the fig & prosciutto flatbread for me. The walleye had a crispy crust coating the moist and tender fish. I took a bite of hub's sandwich and it was so good. My flatbread, though, was amazing. I'm all about a good crust and this one was perfection. So crispy, yet light with all air pockets in the crust. Of course, I love anything fig and this didn't disappoint. I ate 3 squares and took the rest with me. Of course being at the vineyard, we ordered a glass of wine. My husband had the albariño and I ordered the sauvignon blanc. I didn't care for the sauvignon blanc. When the manager came by, we raved about the food but I was honest about the wine. She gave me a taste of the chardonnay and she was right. It was good. I was happy she switched my wine. The negatives are the wasps are nuisances, and there were no traps to catch them. I was dodging them the entire meal. I guess it's hazard when dining al fresco. The other annoyance was the water glasses are small, and my water was never refilled and my glass sat empty even with Molly and the manager stopping by during the meal. Since the glass is small, they should leave a bottle of water at the table or make it a point to check and recheck the water glasses. This is a nice stop for lunch on the Michigan wine trail.
