Every now and then I have a hankering for a bagel, with lox and cream cheese. I have been wanting to try this place for a minute and happened to be in the area...so why not? Located in Columbia, parking is fair considering this is a pretty populated area. I ordered online, and scheduled my food for a specific time, so I am not sure of the wait times; although when I arrived it was packed. I got an everything bagel, with plain cream cheese, lox and the fixings (sans capers, I hate those little buggers). Overall, I enjoyed my bagel, it wasn't maxed out with cream cheese, I felt there could have been a bit more lox and lettuce, as I did not get them with the majority of my bites. I grabbed some bagels for a coworker's good bye breakfast last week. It was easy placing an order online and running first thing in the morning to pick up before heading into work. My order was waiting for me on the rack and I quickly grabbed it and headed to work. I was trying to hide it from my coworker but everyone could smell the fresh Bagels under my desk and I decided to just go ahead and bring them out and present them. Those who came into the office, automatically smelled the garlic and onions coming from the bagels and commented on it smelling good. There were barely any left by thy end it the day. This was my first time and this spot and I can see now I will be a regular here. The customer service is wonderful, the place is very clean and there is a variety of options to choose from. I ordered from the kiosk with no problem, the food came out quick and hot. I highly recommend this for any bagel lovers. I'm so glad we can get these options outside of the big cities. I love that they have vegan cream cheese, they don't give you a little smear either, they put a lot on there. I always get this with capers sprouts onion and tomatoes. THB Bagelry in Columbia is surprisingly excellent. I just discovered in the past week and have now returned 3 times. The bagels are excellent +++ super fresh and delicious. But their cold bagel sandwiches (had the corned beef) and hot breakfast sandwiches are outstanding. Had the bacon, egg, and cheese on everything bagel and it was just outstanding. Wanted breakfast on my way in to work this morning and THB is always a good call. I have the app so I placed my order while I was still at home. The app is pretty easy to use and allows you to customize your order. I just wanted a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel with egg whites only.Many places won't allow these substitutions but THB is more than happy to accommodate you. When I arrived the lot was pretty full but still had plenty of parking available. When I walked in there was a line but luckily I could bypass it and go to the pickup area to get my food. I didn't have to interact with any employees. Couldn't even wait to get to work before I dug in. My sandwich was huge with plenty of eggs and bacon on it. Love that this spot is women-owned, family-owned and local. Updated review for this location! I fell in love with the Towson one back in my college days but this location is just as good. You can taste the bagels are made fresh. Sandwiches are prepared fresh and are very good! I enjoyed the kiosk ordering and it texted me once it was ready which was nice. I was staying at a hotel up near Columbia and googled good bagels near me. This brought me to THB. I was heading over to a friend's house and wanted to bring a dozen bagels so I drove to buy a dozen. Very busy place in the morning but I got in and out fast. A baker's dozen bagels cost around $15. Brought them back and they were extremely well received and enjoyed. I had two toasted during the day and as a New Yorker I was very pleased (nothing is NY except NY, okay). The outside of the bagel is chewy, like they're supposed to be--and they're usually not at the grocery store. They offer salted bagels usually not found outside NY area. The family I brought them to will definitely be back (I live in VA). It's in the shopping center with the Old Navy and there's plenty of parking FYI. Nice find! read more

I have some usual go-to bagel places in Gaithersburg and Olney because they are closer to home, but I do enough in Columbia that when I saw THB had special bagels for Maryland Day I knew it was worth planning my Columbia errands to try them out. Safe to say I'll be coming back to try all the other bagels more frequently, worth the drive! Specifically discussing the MD bagels, even with food coloring, these were the best textured bagels I've ever had! I feel a traditional, plain bagel is a great test/statement to a quality of a bagel shop and these have the perfect glossy, just hard enough exterior, but when you bite into the bagel, you can really bite into it. The perfect soft, full bagel. Hearty, but not dense like a stone. I fell in love! I ordered a half dozen bagels in advance for pick-up on Saturday afternoon. The order was ready at the stated time. We decided to order a couple extra items when we arrived, like some cold salads, and gourmet cream cheese spreads. The touch screen kiosks were easy to use and customize our order, which was ready fairly quickly- they were busy at the time so it was understandable. There is ample seating inside. Less outside, but it is a sidewalk between the other stores as well. Free surface lot parking right out front. Will definitely be back to try more soon! read more

There's not much open for breakfast and brunch in this little area, but there are a lot of lunch and dinner spots. It turned out to be a great spot to nosh on a good quality bagel! The ingredients could have been spread out better because each half of the wrap was lacking or over indulging with ingredient. The first half barely had avocado and too much onion. The second half had way too much avocado and lettuce. I purchased a few bagels to take home and these bagels are great. Always get the bagels. My only issue about my bagels, they were not sliced. I will return for more bagels and hopefully they will have onion bagels. Several bagel flavors were sold out that day so go early. This place has affordable food, friendly service and fresh products. February 2022 - COVID Review: THB has been my favorite since my undergrad days as a Towson student. Now this Columbia location is the closest to me since I now live in VA. I converted my husband to THB years ago so we were able to stop by on our way up into Baltimore one weekend. This location has a few kiosks where you can order and pay yourself from a tablet instead of waiting in line at the cashier. The service is still pretty quick to get your order. I visited here with some friends after church around 12pm and this place was busy!! I came with 3 friends and they messed up 3 of our orders (they gave my order to the wrong person, my friend ordered a tuna bagel and she got the wrong thing, and they messed up her sisters order as well). They were nice enough to offer a free drink, but someone needs to better manage the distribution of the meals when it's busy, they had lots of staff so there is no reason they were messing up that bad. Tables were dirty. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel and it was pretty good. Toasted really well and perfectly crispy yet delicious! I've had better but not too bad. My friends cousin from New Jersey/NY gave her stamp of approval on the Asiago bagel. My other friend ordered the tuna on Asiago and said it was good. Been coming to this shopping center for 6 months now, but first time swinging into this bagel joint. It was crazy busy Saturday morning, but the flow of ordering system was organized chaos. To the right of entrance is the kiosk self-service counter. Behind that is where we picked up our order and mobile orders had their own shelf. We sat in the small booth area by the restroom to the left. It was nice a cozy and quick turnaround for people to enjoy their bagels but no one really loitering like in Starbucks. I ordered the tomato and cheese with home fries on an everything bagel. As a NJ girl, this bagel is for real: excellent mouth feel, sufficiently spiced, and provided a strong backbone for a very stacked sandwich. I'm personally coming back just for the home fries alone. My partner tried the zaatar bagel but it was missing the savory flavor of my bagel. Fillings were good: sausage and egg, perfect with ketchup. I love THB and was so excited when they opened up a Columbia location. I ordered online and was shocked to see a 20-25 minute wait for 1 bagel sandwich-- guess they are still super busy! They sent a text when my order was ready (they weren't lying when they quoted 25 minutes!) and it was located on the takeout shelf inside. My Uncle Gigi bagel was perfect-- plenty of toppings and toasted just right. The pickles need to be packaged better-- the thin paper they use seeps right through the bag. I will say, there were a lot of disgruntled customers waiting when I arrived. I had no clue if people were waiting to order or pickup--- they should definitely have a staff member manning the lobby. I would give THB five stars for food...but this review is about service. This morning, I went to the cash register to order both dine-in and take-out. The THB employee at the cash register had open sores on her arms, wrists and hands. While she was wearing see-through gloves on her hands, her sores on arms and wrists were not covered...in a food establishment. It was sickening before dining. Okay, maybe or maybe not a health code violation (I will check with the health department). Then when placing my order, I explained that I was going to dine in and also order bagels to go. She responded, in a snide tone, "It'll all be to-go." Okay, I can live with that. Then I began to explain the three different types of bagels I wanted to-go. She abruptly stopped me and said, "Just tell me how many!" At that point, I said to her, "I think I will cancel my order...you are rude." Then she said, "Okay, what kind of bagels?" I finished placing my order, ate and left. Will I be back...I doubt it. June 17...Director of Operations never reached out to me. I reached out to the Howard County Health Department.
