Sausage & cheese. No egg. Complicated order apparently
    Tara R.

Can't get an order right for one person when I was the only one in line and only one table of people in the restaurant. Wasted my money on a breakfast sandwich that they made wrong. Couldn't eat it. They used to be my favorite bagel store but apparently finding competent help is hard. I regret leaving a tip since it wasn't earned.

A friend recommended I grab a bagel and coffee from here before hitting the road back to NJ because they know just how much I love good bagels and good coffee .... and the friend was very confident that I would enjoy both stating that they use NY/NJ water to make the bagels (which is key to a great bagel bc it's just something in our water that gives the bagels the perfect amount of pull and "bite") ... I trusted this friend so I made it my business to pop in for a bagel and iced coffee and it was at that point that my skepticism kicked in lol ... bc the bagels did not look like NJ/NY bagels . The place itself has a nice setup for ordering and a wide variety of bagels and even had signage for bialys which is also a favorite of mine however they were either sold out of them or didn't have any prepared when I was there. I ordered my go to ... a toasted everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and an iced coffee ... and I patiently waited. The iced coffee setup was really cool where you prepare your own and they have all the sweeteners and dairy options you can think of ... and the iced coffee itself was GOOD! My bagel was finally ready and an employee brought it over to my table .... first impressions from looks ... this bagel is going to be dry and there's barely any cream cheese on it .... but I took a bite ... SURPRISE! The bagel was actually perfect ... nice amount of chew with the perfect "bite" in the outer crust and while I would've preferred more cream cheese it was really delicious cream cheese so it made up for the amount in the bagel. I texted my friend saying the bagel and coffee were both amazing and I will be sure to visit this place anytime I am in the area again and need breakfast!

Yummy turkey with avocado sandwich on my choice of bagel

Continuing northeast to 3 zip codes from home to Hanover 21076, I arrive at Bagels 'n Grinds. I had been here on a few occasions including before living in Anne Arundel County when I was commuting up this way from VA. Breakfast sandwiches are good, nothing to write home about. Their bagels are solid though. When my parents visited in 2021, my dad complained about the prices. He's a bit more sensitive to high prices or changes in price than I am. But he is right, the prices are higher than some comparable places. Overall, this is very good breakfast or lunch option. I remember the turkey sandwich with avocado was very good too, the time my parents visited in April 2021. Staff is cordial too.

Always pleased here. They were busy when I went on a Saturday morning . They were friendly the place was still clean and they had all the bagels in stock. My veggie breakfast sandwich was delicious I chose to get it on a black and white bagel. These bagels are so good.

First time here after dropping the boys off for their vet appt. Needed some good breakfast, and this place did not disappoint. Nice and cool inside on a hot summer morning. Walked by the dough being made for their bagels when you first entered. Super polite front of house workers. We ordered an eggstremely meaty on everything with cream cheese. So good! I had the Brooklyn on an onion bagel. Solid but harder to eat with the thick layer of cream cheese. We will return for sure Jake n kev

Red velvet cookie was soft and flavorful. Also had a good surface area/depth. Blueberry scone was a little stiff to my touch. The inside matched: it wasn't soft or rich, however, the flavor was there, Quick and nice service. A lot of seating, it was busy but still had a place to sit. Parking available in garage. Self service coffee did its job.

When we arrived we were seated quickly. A lot of items stood out to us on the menu so we went back and forth on what to order but it did take a little bit for someone to come take our order. Ultimately we landed on the peach cobbler French toast, cinnamon roll French toast, and a 1/2 and 1/2 lunch special with chicken & waffles and a cup of jambalaya. I was told the peach cobbler French toast was really good. The cinnamon roll French toast was prepared perfectly. Not soggy which was surprising given how much syrup and melted cream was on the plate. It was just VERY sweet. It also came with a side of eggs and brown sugar sage sausage patties. I loved the sausage patties and 2 was just enough. The chicken and waffles were good, the chipotle honey that came on the side complimented the chicken really well. The jambalaya had potential, but could have been seasoned a bit heavier. I also ordered the raspberry peach palmer and it was bombbb. I'd absolutely recommend another broken egg and will definitely stop in again if there's a location nearby.

Although they have a nice outdoor area it was warm and humid on this day and I wanted to sit in the air conditioning. I was seated immediately and provided a menu. I was a little surprised by the prices on the menu as I expected it to be a little less than it was. My server came by shortly after and asked about drinks and I got water. A few minutes later he came back and I ordered the peach cobbler French toast which looked good but probably look better in the picture then when it arrived. The presentation wasn't very good as it was just thrown on a plate and not really well presented to me. It tasted good it was very sweet but it was good. One of the things that reduced the star was both the presentation and the fact that the syrup that was presented to me in the cup had a layer of film over it and when I went to pour it over my French toast it wouldn't pour until I pierced the film covering the syrup. The eggs over medium and the well done bacon that I ordered came out perfectly and were very good. It was starting to get busy when I was ready to leave and it took a little longer for my server to bring my check and also then pick it up. All in all it was a good meal, and I will be back but I will try something else the next time I come in. I definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try.

Like go to the grocery and buy their brand off the shelf and that was what it was. The mayo was thinly spread, as was the yellow mustard. I guess there was about 2 oz of meat. Honestly, it just wasn't worth $10 to me. Sandwiches come with nothing, so if you want chips or anything else, you pay separately for those. It's very small, as noted, but very clean.
