The room has a few tables and couches with tables for a more relaxed environment. Given the weather was perfect for a fall evening, we sat outside in a patio area. There are a few cocktail options (mocktails, too!) and small bites to nibble one. We shared the burger (Royale with Cheese) and hot dog (Beefy Cheesy)... both were juicy and had great flavor. We're also had the octopus, though it was a bit tough as it had seemingly been overcooked. Overall, the bites were great and I like that we could have cocktails in a relaxed environment. The tasting room had a small gift shop of sorts at the entrance, where they sell the bourbon they use in cocktails and other liquor.

Check-in and checkout are super quick and easy. I booked my room months in advance for the wedding because I fell in love with the Ville de Frejus room and its French decor and vibes. Didn't want to lose it, so I booked right away. I traveled alone, and it was a perfect place to be/stay. It had a decent-sized bathroom and a queen-sized bed. I'm still obsessed with the blue and white pillows on the bed. I need to find some for myself. Included with your stay is a chef-made breakfast, which was divine. They have a small menu, but everything looks so good. It's simple and perfect. One day I got the quiche of the day, and the second day was a traditional breakfast. All rooms are upstairs, so prepare to carry your suitcase up. I only had a carry-on, so it was easy for me. My stay was peaceful and quiet, and I didn't have any issues with any other guest being too loud at any point. Since I was going to be at wedding festivities two nights in a row super late, I was worried about getting back into the house. Super easy set up for so. The doors get locked at 6 as the staff leaves for the night. There is a side entrance you can use to go in and out, with a keypad and a code provided at check-in. So even though I arrived at midnight, I was able to get in safely and reach my room. Loved this Inn and will definitely stay here again if I am in town. It's also walking distance to everything I went to the whole weekend. As well as the main area with all the shops and restaurants. Parking is street only, but I didn't have any issues. Highly recommend!!!

This B&B is a Gem!!! We stayed in the Shannaberry room from 7/22-7/24/17. Jenny is a wonderful innkeeper. The grounds are very well kept and nice. The bed and breakfast was so pretty. Our room was beautiful, tastefully decorated with a four poster bed, soaking tub, double sink and separate shower. After a day of sightseeing, to be able to take a relaxing hot bath in the soaking tub was wonderful. As were the bed and sheets - they were heavenly!!! So soft!! The morning breakfasts were delicious. I am gluten intolerant and there was a gluten free breakfast and a 'gluten' breakfast for my husband. Breakfast was so much food that we skipped lunch both days and just had a snack in the afternoon as we were still full from breakfast. Jenny made suggestions for dinner and gave us a locals view on where was good to eat, pricing, and who was open for lunch and/or dinner. We will definitely be back!!

We wanted a venue that offered great food and an intimate, cozy space, and this was exactly that and more. From the very beginning, Jennifer was absolutely fabulous -- professional, kind, and incredibly organized. When rain threatened to derail our outdoor ceremony plans, she met us the morning before to help us work out a seamless Plan B. Thanks to her calm guidance, we never felt stressed for a moment. The menu created by the chef was outstanding. We chose to do heavy hors d'oeuvres instead of a formal sit-down dinner, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. The food was plentiful, creative, and absolutely delicious -- our guests are still talking about it! Stevenson Ridge truly delivered everything we hoped for: wonderful food, a beautiful and intimate setting, and a team that went above and beyond to make the day special. We can't recommend it highly enough.

I booked my stay in the New York Suite 8 months in advance, and was so pleased to be welcome back as a VIP platinum guest. I had a lovely custom tailored gift basket awaiting me on my very comfortable bed upon arrival. The activities provided included, but were not limited to, a pontoon boat with its own captain as well as a naturalist on board to provide commentary on the local flora and fauna. How magical it was to see 2 blue heron's as well as geese and Hawks! And Hudson the labradoodle is no longer a pup. He is a charmingly well behaved two-year-old dog! Our dining options were simply delicious! Whether it was homemade breakfast with biscuits or an afternoon barbecue while watching the Redskins football game, it was all topped off with Smore's at the fire pit with a view of the lake at sunset. I cannot wait to return to this little slice of heaven in Lake Caroline Virginia!

Manisha and Prashsant, owners of Stone Manor Inn, were personally involved in making sure all went smoothly with our cocktail and dinner party, and it most certainly did! SMI is a lovely old country inn on 14 acres, I believe, with a number of different venues (indoors and out) for meetings, parties, and weddings. The rooms (7 in total) were eclectic, in a good way. All four of their largest rooms that we occupied were spacious, with king beds and spa tubs with separate showers. All were well maintained and clean upon check-in. We had no complaints. I'm not sure when we will return to the area, but when we do, we will not hesitate to return!

I was on the fence to book this place given its hefty price tag, and glad I went for it and completely agree with the glowing 5 star reviews. The bubbly host Manisha is very warm and welcoming. She cordially gave us a 20 min tour around the property, which was built in 1908, and even gave me a bonus tour of the other rooms afterwards. She kindly answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. The Peacecock Room is the most spacious and best room (aside from the bridal suite), elaborately decorated in peacocks. We loved it! The little touches like the handmade soap, a set of wine glasses, and a wine opener made the stay so memorable and special. While the rooms aren't temperature controlled, the electric flameless fireplace kept the room warm. The double capacity jacuzzi was perfect for my hubby and I and even had lights (some of the other rooms have smaller jacuzzi, so be sure to check). The rooms were clean minus a couple of lady bugs and stink bugs (which is too be expected out in the country). Dr. Fauci's assistant stayed here and Manisha informed us of the extensive sanitation process, even the pillows and decorations are quarantined for 6 days! The backyard is well groomed and really spacious with a nice patio and heat lamp, which kept us warm sitting outside in the frigid winter. Our dog loved running around! You can see the stars and constellations really well. It would make a great wedding venue! The Christmas decorations around the property are really nice. The owners really go the extra mile and put a lot of TLC into the property. The 6 course breakfast is delicious and bursting with flavor. Between the veggie quiche, cheesy potatoes, scone, pancakes, yogurt, and fresh OJ, I was stuffed! The fresh butterscotch scone was divine and devoured my mine and my hubby's! The cheesy potato had a nice spicy kick. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the courses come out at once on a large tray. While my hubby and I chose to sit at the communal table (the chairs are roughly 6 feet apart), you can take the tray up to your room. Manisha and her family greeted us and thoroughly explained the dishes and chatted with us for a bit, even her son made an appearance! The bed and breakfast has a nice bar with wine, cider, and alcohol based on an honor code system. Water and soda is complementary, they even had Coke 0! The complementary fudgy brownies by the breakfast area during the day were sweet and tasty. Again the little complimentary stuff gives this bed and breakfast a nice resort feel. Very relaxing stay and looking forward to coming back!

How they can claim this place as luxury is beyond comprehension. The apartment was in a basement next to the garage which smelled strongly of mildew. The rooms were dark even with the lights on. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom and there was a large damp patch on the ceiling next to the shower. Maybe I'm nit picking but the toilet paper was so thin you could use it as tracing paper, I had to buy my own supply. The only good thing about the place was the washer/ dryer.
