I have been training with Bob at The Actor's Group for two years now. From my very first audit I knew this class was one of a kind and I found a space where artists are supported and celebrated in so many ways. Since joining I have landed an agent and learned so much about acting and business side of the industry. It truly helps to have an instructor that is still working and is able to give sound advice relative to what he knows from his own experience. Bob is always available to his students to answer questions, cheer us on, and give a listening ear. I've always loved that he meets you right where you are and works to build you up as an individual rather than a one size fits all approach. I could not recommend this class enough for anyone that is serious about on camera acting! I've had almost every type of acting teacher in my training so now I know what to look for. This class and Bob as an instructor are exactly what I was looking for. It is perfect for every level, a great place for new actors to learn technique and also a great place for veterans to exercise their skills and get honest feedback. Bob walks the perfect line of telling you exactly how you are coming across on camera but also boosting your confidence in what you are doing well. He truly believes in his students and will do whatever he can for us. When I first did an audit of the class, for a split second I thought it was weird to have the instructor not physically there but pretty quickly I realized that it is genius for a acting for the camera class because he is seeing only what the camera sees. They've got a great set up so there is never any technical issues. I've been taking classes with TAG for a little over a year now. In that time, I have seen an increase in bookings, auditions, signed with a few new agents and feel more confident. It is a safe space to challenge yourself and grow as an actor. The class is welcoming, supportive, full of laughter and I always leave feeling inspired. I feel incredibly lucky to have found Bob as a coach who continues to push me to be better than great. After starting the class, my mother told me that I seemed more like myself and she wished I had found it years ago. Personally that comment holds quite a bit of weight and honestly I feel more like myself. Previous to joining the class I studied with several different schools/teachers since I was a young child.
