Wow, what a moron. I scheduled an appointment with Henry TWO WEEKS ago for tomorrow, Sunday, in Hollywood; I asked him to text me the address for confirmation, and he texted me the Hollywood address. Henry just called me, for the first time ever, to "touch base" for tomorrow (which he did only after I texted HIM to confirm the appointment) and to tell me that he only works in Santa Clarita on weekends (you'd think he would've told me this two weeks ago, before scheduling a Sunday appointment in Hollywood). He told me he could reschedule me in Hollywood for a Tuesday-Friday, but I told him I work in Manhattan Beach and wouldn't be able to make that work; I'd been counting on him having weekend availability. He told me I should ask Groupon for a refund. This failure to accommodate me as a customer comes after Henry failed to respond to two of the phone calls that I made to schedule an appointment; I finally had to text him to get a response from him at all, just to schedule the appointment. Had I not texted Henry again to confirm the appointment, I probably would've shown up in Hollywood for my appointment to have found myself stood up. Now I have to go through the hassle of getting a refund from Groupon. (UPDATE: Groupon did give me a refund when I told them that "Groupon Bucks" was insufficient for this kind of merchant screw up.) I'm also missing out on an IPL facial in a week that would've worked out well for me with other treatments I'm doing because Henry waited until the last minute to tell me that he was changing the location on me to somewhere totally inconvenient. I'll now be getting my IPL treatments at Kalologie, where I got a discount because I purchased some (also discounted) microneedling sessions from them. The IPL treatments at Kalologie are pricier than Henry's Groupon pricing, but Kalologie is actually professional about scheduling, and Kalologie's microneedling tools are top notch. read more

I am a mid 30s female with years of sundamage, melasma on my forehead and cheeks, a few active acne breakouts, and plenty of acne scars. After researching tons of estheticians nearby in Old Town Scottsdale, I decided to try Henry. I booked a package of IPL Photofacials and crossed my fingers for the best. Let me just start by saying, I JUST FINISHED MY FIRST TREATMENT AND I AM BLOWN AWAY! You know when you go to the dermatologist and they barely look at your face and then give you a script and say see ya in a year, and you're left to fend for yourself navigating the overwhelming world of skincare products and reading online reviews of products that never work for you? (Oh, was that just me?) Well, this was the COMPLETE OPPOSITE experience. In the one hour of being with Henry, I learned more about my skin and recommended skincare routines for my skin, than I ever learned from 20 years of dermatologist appointments. Henry is extremely knowledgable and so skilled in his craft. He went above and beyond the treatment I booked to make sure my skin issues were treated and addressed. He did at least 15 steps, maybe more, and I love that he explained what he was doing and talked about the process. He's like the Yoda of skin. Within 2 minutes he knew that I was working out, dealt with acne/oily skin, and predicted my aversion to sunscreen. He's also super low-key (which is very rare in Beverly Hills), not pushy with product, extremely knowledgeable, and great at what he does. I've always had freckles but started to noticed that I was developing sunspots and wanted to get rid of those. I initially went to Henry for an IPL facial and ended up purchasing a package of six. He gave me an honest assessment of my skin and a few options for what I could do to improve it (based on the time I have and how intensive the treatment would be). We went the conservative route since I can't afford to take time off of work to peel. I've gone 3 Times now and every time I see improvement. Henry is an absolute skin magician! I've had brown spots on my skin for the last few years due to sun damage in my face. One on my nose was especially embarrassing and very prominent - so much so that makeup couldn't cover it. I went to Henry requesting an IPL Photofacial thinking it would be the answer to clearer skin but he was amazing enough to guide me to the correct procedure after he simply looked at my skin. I've had experiences before where I ask for what I thought were the right corrective services for my skin and aestheticians at other spas would simply let me receive and pay for the wrong services. I appreciated Henry's judgment and guidance so much and in just two magical visits, I can hardly see the spot on my nose! I've provided two pictures for this review. There should not be anything holding you back, and I will explain why! - He will offer you the best price for the service. - He will assess your skin and determine the best treatments for it. - Once you buy a treatment, he will not only give you what you asked for, but he will include other treatments as well. For example, I bought 4 IPL treatments - we had 3 IPL treatments, each of those 3 IPL's included a full 60 minute facial, some other treatments for redness, AND IPL. He assessed that I did not need another treatment of IPL for the last session, instead he gave me what I needed for my face, radioactive frequency and did not charge me more. - He cares about you, like really cares. Henry was amazing, I have been wanting to get my eyebrows microbladed for a long time ( they were way to thin from years of over plucking). I had been nervous to get them done because they are semi permanent. I did my research on so many people around town. Bought a groupon for a hydrafacial to find a local esthetician since I'm new to AZ and have suffered from worsening acne since the summer... Henry was surprised I was there for a hydrafacial and spoke with me about other options better suited for my skin. I ended up getting a VI peel and I am so happy with the results. I originally did not want something so harsh, but it was definitely needed and I'm glad Henry suggested it. I just went back for my 1 week follow up and he could see I was hesitant to spend more money on products, so he offered to give me a product to try until my next appt, if I don't like it, bring it back and no charge. Henry canceled my appointment, was late for the one rescheduled, let others into the room during my treatment to make a sale, insulted my eyebrows, insisted on fixing them and then charged me an extra $150. The IPL I paid for was skimpy and the very expensive product he talked me into buying only lasted half the time that he said it would. When I contacted him about it, he was nasty.
