About 15 minutes. The server apologized and then apologized for the 10 minutes to get our drinks. We clearly caught them during the tail end of their peak and were fine. The whiskey selection is decent. They have a wide range of selection but are missing some of the higher end selection one may expect from an establishment that focuses on whiskey. I am guessing they are simply growing their selection as they establish themselves over the longer period. We ordered a meat and cheese board to share for the four of us. It was more than we needed and had a decent range. Service remained slow throughout and drinks g9t backed up probably because other tables were ordering complex cocktails. On the way out we noticed a drink feature on the wall we were not aware that the ladies said they would have really liked. I believe the potential for this establishment is great and we will continue to come back.

The food was alright, nothing special except maybe the rabbit poutine which tasted a lot more gamey than other poutines. The meat and cheese board wasn't too quality. The cocktails we had were all unique and tasty, and quite pricey to add. Would maybe come again if feeing fancy drinks.

Went here with a group of 6 of my friends and we pretty much ordered everything on the holiday menu. It's got a very old English style look to the place and was very tastefully decorated. For drinks we got the berry christmas (which they can also make non-alcoholic), jingle all the way (clarified), home alone, crosby's hot cocoa, cafecito, and muffin mans old fashioned. My friends loved their drinks. My cafecito and old fashioned were both stirred drinks and had the perfect Christmas flavor to them. I would go back again to try their regular menu next time.

Made resos way in advance to the holidays, got seated at a large sofa booth and had to share the table/ seating with another party. Not an issue at all! It's cozy and nice in there but boy, was it dark! I really couldn't see the menu with their small candle light and had to use my phone flashlight instead (haha!). Perhaps should get menu lights so patrons can see what they can order. We got a variety of cocktails to try which were all delicious and so different/ tasty. Also got a bunch of tapas share plates for the table as well. Here's what we got: Fried brussel sprouts 5/5 - Crispy, sweet and salty. Cooked with maple and dijon, topped with fennel and puffed tapioca. Great sharing vegetable dish. Scotch egg 5/5 - Never had a Scotch egg before and loved it. It's a soft boiled egg in the middle, coated with sage and onion stuffed pork and has a fried exterior. The mix of textures really had a delicious mouth feel to it. Hickory smoked olives 5/5 - Can't go wrong with olives, especially when they are smoked and topped with some citrus and herbs. Grilled steak diane 5/5 - A Picanha steak, with mushrooms, worcestershire, brandy, cream and apricot. The sauce that came with this steak was the winner of it all. Delicious, well balanced flavours. Everything here was really well cooked with delicious flavours all around. Dishes are tapas style so you can expect them to be small and shared. Receipt came in a cute envelope with a sealed stamp - the details were great! Can't wait to come back here to try more things in the future!

They didn't have any vanilla which I usually get at other coffee shops but it still tasted good with honey. Great service by Rebecca and loved the leaf design she did on the foam! It's usually difficult to do with soy milk so I was impressed! I also liked the warm ambiance of the place that had stools for people to sit and work.

Now, I'm reviewing the new spot for Boxcar, who is inside the Waterworks food court. Same deal for coffee with the choice of beans, one for straight and one for mixing. On the opposite side of the coffee counter is the Boxcar bar with full selections and signature cocktails, quite different than in the old location with a couple cocktails on the menu but no actual bar. Missing are several things. Firstly, the bar stools at the order counter, with separate tables as the option if you want to sit. Sure, there's the bar attached which would be nice later in the day, but they lost the food options. The avocado sandwich was super popular. In fact there are no breakfast options in the entire food court so far. Even the baking selection has been slimmed. Nice to have them back, regardless, and being adjacent to one of downtowns best off-leash parks really convenient. Espresso $3.85.
