It's very cozy & relaxing inside, with a big stone fireplace and wood logs throughout. The cabin is nestled in an old growth forest in Rhododendron and you can hear the nearby river, which is especially nice at night. There are 3 bedrooms with a total of 6 beds, so you can definitely sleep quite a few here. And there's a hot tub in the backyard, which is such a nice amenity especially when the temps dip down. We think the cabin is in a great location as well - not far to go up the mountain to Government Camp or Timberline, or down the road a few minutes to civilization. We also appreciate the dogs are allowed in the cabin, so we bring our poodle & lab with us. And the price is reasonable. We'll be back!

I'm leaving this review to save someone from going through the hassle that my family did! Not even worth ONE star! I booked on Vacasa.com and was unable to leave a review there. Where to begin, this place was a wreck. This trip was supposed to be a nice getaway for my husbands birthday and we had been looking forward to it for months. When we arrived to the cabin was so dark and so cold you could see our breath in the air. Naturally we went to turn on some lights and the heater and we quickly found that you couldn't turn on the lights AND have a heater running at the same time. The power kept shorting out resulting in everything shutting off. So we decided we needed light more than heat and we all just kept our jackets on. My kids were really hungry after the long drive so I looked in the kitchen for pots and pans to cook with. There were no cooking utensils. I found ONE sheet pan and it was all rusted at the bottom and unusable! The oven door didn't even close, I opened it and the door fell off completely! Then when I tried to preheat the oven the door wouldn't close so I couldn't use the oven for any cooking. In the backyard there was a shed filled with garbage and the yard was FULL of dog poop everywhere! You literally couldn't walk in the yard space it was so covered in piles of feces. The hot tub didn't heat fully and of course we couldn't use it because it was shorting things out and turning the hot tub on would shut down all the lights in the house. Really frustrating! The hot tub was one of the main reasons we booked this place! The bedroom sheets had not been cleaned. I found a pubic hair, dog hair all over, and what looked like either ketchup or blood on the sheets. I couldn't believe the quality of this place. Totally run down, no pride taken at all in upkeep. It was filthy, gross and felt uncomfortable the entire time. I called Vacasa and explained the situation, this was nothing like what had been advertised. We were all tired, cold and sitting in near darkness. We drove a long way to enjoy our stay here and it was exhausting and so disappointing. I had to hold for a few hours but finally got a refund which I'm thankful for, and we packed everything and drove all the way back home after being there for a few hours. I wish someone else had warned me so I'm warning you! Do not expect a warm and cozy cabin, do not expect a full kitchen or a clean backyard, and do not expect a hot tub. I really hope the owners of this cabin take some accountability and are more honest in their representation of their place.

It's also within stumbling distance of the Skyway Bar and Grill (which has terrific mixed drink and beer options). The husband and I had tons of plans for the weekend -- we were going to ski and snowshoe and spend time at Timberline...no. We didn't do any of those things (we're also from the area, so we didn't feel the need to cram in a bunch of activities). Instead we sat on the comfy couch, tended the fire, and drank copious amounts of brandy. Then we went to Skyway, came home, and sat in the hot tub. Totally worth every minute. If you want a relaxing getaway or even just a cool place to stay near Mt. Hood, you've found it.

It was actually pretty warm during our stay and the forced-air cooling unit worked fairly well to keep the condo cool. There were no wine glasses, which I found a little strange, but only a minor complaint. There is a fairly large heated pool and a very nice hot tub and sauna near the office and the gift shop, which had some very nice stuff in it. The bed was comfortable and when we had an issue, the maintenance guy came out fairly quickly to fix it. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Our place had a large master bedroom with an adjoining bathroom, as well as two more bedrooms and a second bathroom. The place also included a spacious kitchen, dining room and living room, as well as a BBQ on the deck. There's also free Wi-Fi and a large TV that we used to watch both cable and movies. The Collins Lake Resort is also in an ideal location. It is just a short drive to Skibowl where we enjoyed great skiing as well as an awesome experience at night with their cosmic tubing. It is also just a short walk across the street to Government Camp. We had an amazing stay, and I strongly recommend Collins Lake Resort to anyone looking for a great time at the mountains.

We loved the beautiful grounds, and the chalet was comfortable and exactly what we were hoping for. Unfortunately, around 1:00 a.m. on the second to last night of our stay, we returned from the wedding festivities to find that the entire chalet smelled overwhelmingly of sewage. The odor was present throughout all three floors and became stronger with each level. It was so intense that several of us were gagging and even became physically sick. We attempted to book a room at the nearest hotel but they were fully booked, leaving us with no choice but to stay. We opened every window in the chalet and had to leave them open for the remainder of our stay because the smell was otherwise unbearable. We made every effort to report the issue while it was happening. That night, we called the resort's emergency after hours hotline but never received a return call or any follow up. Upon checking out on the final day, I reported the situation again to the staff member at the front desk. He was incredibly kind, apologetic, and assured me the situation was unacceptable. He explained that the manager, Dan, would contact me and that a partial refund would likely be appropriate given the circumstances. After several days passed without any communication, I reached out to the resort myself. I was told that maintenance had inspected the chalet, along with neighboring units, and could not detect any unusual odor. While I appreciate that they took the concern seriously enough to inspect the property, this was very surprising given that all four of us experienced the smell, and it was severe enough that we were becoming physically ill. I was again told that Dan would contact me, but as of writing this review, I still have not received any phone call or email. It's disappointing because, aside from this issue, our stay would have easily earned five stars. I understand that unexpected maintenance problems can happen and I don't fault the resort for an issue that may have been outside their immediate control. What disappointed me most was the lack of follow through after we were assured someone would reach out. Good customer service isn't just responding in the moment--it's also following through on the commitments made afterward. I genuinely hope the source of the odor has been identified and resolved, as it's a beautiful property and I'd love to recommend it. However, I also hope future guests experiencing an issue like this receive the communication and resolution that we unfortunately never did.

Guests are subject to promises and then no resolution when things are not as stated or if there is a problem. They tell the owners the charges are one amount and then heap on additional charges that they did not reveal at the outset. Since they take such terrible care of guests, it reflects badly on the property owners. Calling the office to try to get things straightened is a useless waste of time as the office staff is dysfunctional. Whether you are a guest or an owner, All Seasons Vacation Rentals at Mt. Hood is a really bad company to do business with.

I advised them that our house had dead bugs in the dining room lamp and there were cob webs all over. The floors under the furniture were full of dust. Why are we paying $180 for cleaning (we paid $3450 for 4 days)? This seems to be common for all of their properties. They never did respond to me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
