I'm legitimately upset they dont have a zero star option, granting it one star feels like a crime. Then again, The Ale House being worthy of anything more is quite humerous. What should you expect while dining at The Ale House? Well, let me enlighten you...Poor management, underage waiters, illegal immigrants for kitchen help, but to top it off is the filth and fly infestation. Not enough for ya? In addition, you could consider the deplorable quality of the food. Another humerous point would be their label, which is "Mediterranean Gastro Pub." More like "Local Dirty Sh*thole Dive Bar." Back to their 'Cusine,' well their "Famous" roast beef is never cooked well enough, it has the consistency of cardboard, and they'll charge you tooth and nail for anything additional you'd expect it to come with. Not to mention how awful the ambiance is. Expect racist/offensive conversation, it's an Ale House Staple ofcourse! Personally, I don't personally enjoy sitting down to a meal with my children here, but that's just my logical opinion. I stopped in during the week to meet a business client for lunch, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The place was so dark inside it felt uncomfortable, more like a prison than a welcoming restaurant. The bartender who approached our table appeared disheveled and uninterested. He took our drink and lunch order but refused a simple request to lower the very loud rock music so we could have a conversation. He insisted the volume was fine and that customers liked it, even though the place was nearly empty. Throughout our visit he never once checked on the table and spent most of the time on his phone. The service felt inattentive, unprofessional, and frankly careless. As we were leaving, we overheard the bartender arguing with another employee behind the bar, which only added to the uncomfortable atmosphere. It's hard to believe ownership would allow things to operate this way now. Sadly, this visit left a very poor impression. read more

My vodka martini was served in a small glass with no stem, and our bartender again used his fingers, rather than a spoon or cocktail skewer, to extract the olives. The wooden facade behind the bar could be classy and beautiful but appears to be just an afterthought with only a few types of liquor lined up on it. This place seems to be more focused on beer. I did like the open windows which had tables directly under them although my favorite piece of decor is the original Victory Cleaners sign that hangs on the wall opposite the bar. If you're a beer drinker, this is more of a place for you, as the emphasis is more on beer than specialty cocktails.
