November 21, 2021 Night cap! We came in about 10p...for 1 last BD drink. They had free pizza and a cheese tray. Excellent! Only a few customers were there...both were Santa's too! One (still in his red velvet pants and boots) he plays Santa at Moody Gardens and one who plays Santa at the RR museum...for "polar express!" Addy (Addison) was the bartender...she was soo nice. She bought me and my friends a lemon drop shot...soo tasty! We didn't order anything else to drink because we had already had enough and were tired...soo, we sipped on those shots and ate. A transient came in asking for food...Addy pointed him to the free pizza table. He took, he left. I I like the vibe here too...definitely a place a female can hang out at alone. This is the best bar I've been to since I moved down from Oklahoma, about 5 years ago! We stumbled upon Alibi Bar on the way to Mardi Gras celebrations. It was the best way to start and end the night. I was celebrating my 24th birthday that night. Our bartender, Jaclyn, found out and made me and my company feel like superstars. This place is amazing. I visited a few weeks ago, the universe was telling me to check it out, and let me tell you I've never enjoyed an evening in a bar more! Jackeline our amazing bartender, created an environment of warm and inviting vibes, a place to go to have fun! I am not a fan of depressing bars or vibes and she and the alibi are anything but! We found this bar by accident when my girlfriend needed to stop to pee on the way to the Mardi Gras parade. This bar turned out to be the best part of our whole night. The barmaid Jaclyn was the star of the show. She was super sweet and gave us recommendations on nearby seafood joints. After the parade, we even made our way back to this bar just to spend another 2 hours with her. Great bar, cheap drinks, and a well kept pool table! read more

This was a cool little dive bar. We went during Oktoberfest and it was jumping! The owners/staff were super friendly and prompt especially during such a busy time! Great clean bathrooms! They had a band outside in the cool patio area. Definitely will stop by again. read more

I've been surprised by ratings before, but this one takes the cake. 5 stars for this place is a SERIOUS overshot! And all the noms for the Best of Galveston?? Someone (or someones) that either work for/own this place, or are getting paid somehow, are hyping this up to an insanely undeserving level. I heard about it being new, being cute, etc. I'm always up for trying out places I haven't been. I had high hopes too, telling myself, "oh Heather this isn't western Mass, don't worry, it can't be that truly awful kind of dive bar!" Oh Heather. Yes it can. And yes it was. Such a disappointment. Maybe I hit an off night? Like really way the F off? Everyone was there for the Astros game, clearly. It felt like walking into someone's livingroom, which I HATE, because every single person in the bar turns and looks at who is coming in. Awkward much? Why do people do that? Mind your business. Drink your drinks. We walked to the end of the bar where a couple seats were, which took 3 seconds because the place isn't much bigger than your average livingroom. I asked what was on tap - a pretty typical question when you're in a bar, especially one that boasts as being one of the best spots in town. No taps, just cans & bottles. Okay, no problem. We order 2 beers that came in cans, and she put them in coozies for us... coozies that were FILTHY! You could visibly see, AND FEEL, how dirty these things were. I guess I should be glad the bartender put them in coozies at all since she was quite obviously high as a frickin kite... and no, not the good high, the methy high... which was evident in numerous others at the bar too based on their behavior, teeth, and general choices in style and hygiene. Ordering a cocktail out of a glass would have been out of the question. THEY would've had to pay ME, and a hefty amount at that. We maintained our composure and drank our beers, ever so quickly, then left after about ten minutes. I'd pass on trying this place if I were you - we wished we had. read more

Stopped in to this bar due to the nice exterior and the good reviews. Pretty inside, clean, nice staff. Jacqueline the bartender was great. Had a few drinks and chatted with the local cruise line ladies. Would definitely return, but I hope they address the air conditioning condensation pooling up in the ceiling. read more

Waited 25 minutes to order drinks. Watched the bar tenders ignore various customers while taking care of others. Steady stream of customers walking out the door due to terrible (non existent) service. I am surprised that the owner hasn't fired the staff. read more
