Thin crust pizza with sausage and ricotta in the courtyard/outside area. Had music playing. Great hangout spot!

This is such a cool local spot! Whenever we're in town we try to stop by. Michael was working this last time and he is great! Gotta love service with a smile! Friendly people; great beer; happy hour specials and the food is pretty good! I tried the new sausage ricotta pizza (forgot the name) and it was delicious. I think it'd be better w thicker crust and some jalapeños but the flavor combo was spot on.

Friendly and helpful bar staff!!! Great selection of beers. The Tiki Colada was fabulous. We had two flights and the pickle pizza which was very unique. It pretty fun to sit upstairs and overlooking brewery operations!

Hundreds of Hops self-guided US Hop Passport Brewery Tour Amazing Brewery Stop 9/10 for Texas (about to win our 4th state- whoop) showed on maps as 55min from our Houston stay, actual time was about 1hr 40min, with traffic and traffic was THICK. The outdoor space here is fantastic, with lots for the littles to keep busy with. Indoors there was ample seating, and they have an upper level for adults only. Not surprisingly, most people were outside, we sat inside on the lower level. It was quiet. There was a decent selection of brews, including our preferred darks. The peanut butter porter pint was perhaps best enjoyed in a taster It was rather busy. Be sure to check out the bathroom 1 way mirror - trippy.

Outside at a festival with a brew and smoke cigar i brought with me.

Outside smoking available. Bar although tiny available. In the brewery seating area you can also sit and on bingo days play some bingo and win prizes.

First time coming to this brewery and it was super chill. All the staff were great and very easy going! I ordered a flight and all the beers were so good! They have indoor seating with AC, an upstairs area that's 18 and older, and an outside area with a small playground for kids. Great place for everyone!

Our choices for the flight! Sunset siesta and tiki colada were my fav!

Such a nice group of employees. We came to have a flight early Friday afternoon. Charday was behind the bar and she was very helpful. We enjoyed browsing over their wide range of beers and hearing her suggestions.

Such a cute and chill spot! We came by to have a beer and play some cards, and it was the perfect setting. There's a great mix of indoor and outdoor seating, plus an upstairs area that overlooks the brewery--super cool vibe. If you're bringing kids, there's even a playground to keep them entertained, and the little gift shop is full of fun finds. I had the Beach Please Lager--light, refreshing, with just a hint of salt and lime (perfect beachy vibe). My friend went with the Citra Mellow IPA, which was smooth and flavorful. Both beers were delicious. Bonus points for the awesome music playlist that added to the laid-back atmosphere. I'd definitely come back!

Great place for a beer when you're on the island. Staff will help you feel at home. I'm currently in love with the Dill beer. Their offerings change enough to keep everyone happy. Try it out!!!

Great place to eat and drink!!!! It was my wife and I first time there, the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful! They are pet friendly everywhere except inside the brew room which made sense. You can have a sample tasting of every flavor.

Spanish channel. Not interesting!! Tried to ask to change the channel. He was NOT interested.
    Jess B.

Great beer selections. Music was on low.. couldn't hear it very well, unfortunately. After complaining about the Spanish tv selection he still did not change the channel. ( See Picture) Could be more tourist friendly. Might be back if it is a different bartender.

We searched for breweries on the Island, and chose this one. We arrived just in time to grab some beers and play trivia from 6-8 on a Wednesday night. It was a blast! Super great beer selection. Awesome bartender. Awesome trivia. And the outdoor seating area is so cool! Tons of seats and playground for kids! I plan to stop back by after our cruise for beer to take home!

Galveston Island Brewing has come a long way since they started as a tiny micro brewery with only bar seating. The brewery has it all. Indoor seating is available near the taproom and in the brewing area, outdoor seating is ample in their patio and playground area which kids will love, the bar area has a gift shop, and the multiple restrooms are a nice touch. Beer wise, they're pretty solid. They tend to specialize in lighter beers like heffes and wheat ales. Those tend to compliment the hot humid coastal weather nicely. Absolutely avoid the sours! Don't expect much service after you order. While super friendly and chatty behind the bar, staff won't go out into the tables to check on you or ask you if you need anything - at least they didn't for our groups. And that's actually alright. They're helpful enough early on that we didn't need for anything. Parking is a little tight but available on the nearby streets as well.

Awwwww, such a small thing but the ladies room and feminine products. A wonderful touch.

My Uncle recommended stopping here. I did not partake but my dad loved it. The day was a bit on the cooler side but we still sat outside. Plenty of outdoor seating but there is still some tables/chairs indoors too. I couldn't believe how many people brought their little kids! We were actually the only ones who DIDN'T bring children! Seriously, there were probably 10 couples there, each with kiddos. There is a small playground outside. Would never have thought this was a family friendly place but apparently it is! Oh, and one couple had a dog too. Beers were great according to my dad and uncle. I don't drink too much so I didn't want to have a beer and drive home a bit tipsy (cough cough light weight). I'd LOVE to see a non alcoholic beer produced! There were a handful of food options but I couldn't recall any other than pretzels. Bartender was nice. She was the only person we interacted with. Bar kitty was friendly.

If I were to go alone with my dog, can we go to the bar to order?

Yea I am sure you can. Great people. You will not have a problem.

Do they have Crowler fills? Flying in so not planning on bringing my bulky Growlers but if they do the 32 ounce Crowler cans, can stock up for the week on those.

We wanted…read moresomewhere to chill for happy hour before we had to pick up my nephew from school and this came up on the Google Maps search. It was a hit for all 3 of us! We decided to get the tasting option and try some of the nice variety of beers and sours they offered. I can't remember which ones I got but I also tried my daughter and sister's choices. Everything was delicious except the wings we ordered were dry-rubbed and were too hard & crispy to me. I'm very picky about my buffalo wings, though. The service was fantastic and it's a fairly big place that is probably packed on the weekend. It's family friendly, too, with a playground right next to their outdoor patio.

**Tip-Shaming Warning**…read more I really want to love this place. The atmosphere is great; I hear they are community minded; and everyone here has always been nice. But this joint can't decide whether it is a bar or a restaurant. I have previously talked about how spectacular the fish & chips are -- then they removed them from the menu. This weekend, I took my father to this place only to find out that the lunch menu selection wouldn't fill a napkin. Not to mention, they were out of mustard. What respectable joint in Texas runs out of mustard when hamburgers are on the menu? About the burger... The cheeseburger and fries are quite a bit more expensive here than legit burger joints in our area such as Stomp's or Tookies. Further, I've had better burgers in a commissary and at amusement parks. There is nothing fresh about the meat. And then there's the mustard. When I order a burger with mustard (and you don't have mustard), why bring it to me dry? A decent server would come to the table and say "Sir, I know you wanted mustard, but we don't have any." Additionally, I asked for a side of pickles with my burger, which didn't come. So I asked the server, in the presence of the food runner, "Can you bring me the side of pickles?" The food runner chimed in "They're on the burger." -- I wanted to jump down his throat, but I instead ignored him and redirected my comment to the server (whom I requested the side of pickles when I placed my order.) In addition to the marginal food, the customer service here is quite lacking. Though our server was a nice guy, he seemed to half-ass everything. And then he brought the iPad and stood over us while we paid the bill ... which included pre-set tip amounts. I've worked in food service, as has pretty much everyone in my family. When you stand over me while I'm calculating your gratuity, you are likely to get squat. -- Even the Wall Street Journal has written about the gauche nature of this "tip shaming" practice. And so, our server got what he deserved ... very little. (If he'd left me with the iPad and moved on, I likely would've felt more charitable. His mistake.) This place could and should do better. But it needs to decide whether it wants to be a restaurant or a bar. It could do both, but not for long in the way they are currently operating.

It's an easy place for all kinds of gatherings, especially ones with big groups and a thirsty penchant for beer. In a place like Webster where chains rule and suburban life is abundant, Saloon Door stands out as an excellent local option. It may not look like much from the outside and even the interior is minimal, but that somehow doesn't matter when groups of people are enjoying their brews together. They host all sorts of events and also allow for private use of dare venue space. Any first timer should absolutely indulge in a beer flight with some kind. The brewmasters are kind enough to let folks sample to their heart's content. Not everybody is beer savvy (#1) but they do a good job of recommending the right ones for any given palate. I appreciate their selection of stouts, ales, light brews, and IPAs. I have a fondness for their peanut butter milk stout, as well as dar dildo pickle gose. The tasty AF is also a good one, as is the lava imperial hot rock beer. The ladder has an ABV of 11%, so it is the most potent one in their lineup that I know of. Most breweries like this aren't always known for food, but there are some nice deals to be had here. Their taco Tuesday nights are popular since board games and happy hour beers are apparently a thing. The Friday deal for $15 inlcudes a burger, fries, and a beer would is very affordable in these times. Thursday nights they activate their projection screen and do a " a retro video game" night with plenty of multiplayer and beer specials. I always look forward to coming here. There is no pretense, plenty of good service, and even more good beer. __________ (#1) ::::coughs:::: me.

It was one of the first on this side of town before everyone and their mom started opening up breweries. The difference is, it has stood the test of time and is still going strong. This location is located in an industrial park close to I-45. There is plenty of parking. It anchors that particular section and is quite large inside. There is plenty of seating and they also have space available for private events. The staff here know their product and offer great advise on what to pick if you are indecisive like me. They have quite a respectable assortment of beers to choose from. They have light beers, malty beers, stouts, IPAs, and seasonal beers. I would suggest a flight if you want to try a few different things. I am not a big IPA guy, but Saloon Door has some that are pretty tasty. My favorites here at their stouts. They are heavy, but easy to sip on. Their stouts have flavor profiles that I love. My all time favorite Saloon Door beer is the Tasty AF. It is a peanut butter and chocolate milk stout. How can you go wrong with that flavor combination. It's like drinking a dessert. Some breweries name their beers with flavors but don't deliver on said flavor. Here, their beers are true to their names. Don't sleep on their other offering though! As far as food, they have rotating food trucks that you can order from. This location was my introduction to Saloon Door, but they did open their second location closer to my home. I would still without a doubt come back to this location if in the area though!
