It's one thing to go into a place after a long day at work to unwind.. but it's another thing when you go into a place and you hear the owner Joe throw out the N word, like he has no shame and felt very comfortable saying it! The women's restroom has no privacy, the men go in there and freely use the restroom(even if there is a woman in there), when theirs is occupied because the women's restroom has no door knob or lock, like the men's. So of the men will sexually harass you and they will do nothing about it, as long as they're still buying drinks! Being a African American female and being the only black person in the bar at this time and to hear the owner reference African Americans as Ni**ers is very disturbing, disgusting and very unprofessional and an apology wasn't given, just the look of "so what", was upon his face. I strongly advise anyone that's African American to be careful when going here and make sure to keep track of the amt of drinks you've had and pricing. Some of the bartenders will charge you for extra drinks and say you didnt pay them, even when you know you have and will get loud, yell and try to embarrass you, when you say otherwise. This place has gone downhill.. from the customers and certain bartenders doing drugs in the restrooms and the mess that goes on inside and outside this place will often have you feeling uncomfortable and fearing for your life. read more

This new bar in Santee That is much needed in my perspective...its old meets new.. In ALL genre's.. Santee has a bit of all San Diego in my eyes. I have lived on the east coast, Midwest and most of my life in all parts of SD... I'm not going to lie.. This is an American bar. It's all walks of life.. Right down to the music, drinks and people... It's really not complicated.. Unless you make it that way. My friends and I will enjoy the barrel room, the ALIBI Drinks, and all the personality for what it is!! Love this bar!!! read more
