The Alley Boba Tea & Coffee
    Karen V.

It's an awesome Taiwanese boba & coffee shop that opened about 9 months ago at the Shops of Wiregrass. I was so happy to finally experience it. I love that it's has a good amount of seating. The décor is modern and clean. The Deerioca plushie cushions along the wall in the seating area are so cute. The drinks are unique. They also offer snacks such as crab rangoons and croffles. The service was pleasant & professional. We were greeted as soon as we entered. Surprisingly, it wasn't that busy on a summer weekday. The Ube Brown Sugar Deerioca Crème Brûlée Milk Tea was delicious! Their signature Deerioca tapioca balls are sweeter (more sugar than honey) than ones I've had at other shops. The crème brûlée is mixed into the drink. Keep that in mind if you have issues with texture. It's more of a clumpy pudding texture than a whipped one. Not a bad thing, but some may not agree. The drink can be customized to your liking. On the other hand, I wasn't too impressed with the Matcha Croffle. The buttery taste that makes these croffles so good was totally nonexistent. I didn't even taste the matcha even though it was sprinkled on top. It's just my opinion, and nothing more. I'd skip the croffle next time, or try another flavor. Otherwise, it was okay for an average waffle. The subtle Harry Potter references are very cool. I've read that the owner is a big Harry Potter fan. Supposedly, the original name of the brand was "Diagon Alley" but was later shortened. If you look real closely at the logo, you'll see the "da" in it. It could stand for anything at this point. I don't know... maybe it's a coincidence that there is a deer in the logo that could be Harry's stag patronus. Either way, there is a definite reference even if it is subtle. It's kind of like finding a hidden Mickey, maybe? Just take a closer look at that boba cup the next time you're there. I'm looking forward to trying more of their unique drinks. It's the perfect stop while shopping at this outdoor mall in the summer heat.

I was so surprised the Alley opened up a location in Wesley Chapel of all places. But this is a welcome addition to the boba scene. Super spacious and cute interior, perfect for group gatherings. The boba was solid, with lots of different drink options and toppings that you can choose from. Will definitely drop by again if I'm in the area :)

Located in Wiregrass mall, it's one of the few cafes in the area that focuses on milk and fruit teas. The menu is limited but likely to focus on specific items. I have tried both the Ube Brown Sugar Deerioca Crème Brûlée milk tea and the Strawberry Green tea. The crème brûlée is an acquired taste because of it has a thicker texture. So if you are a "texture person", may not be the drink for you. The strawberry green tea is more traditional but slightly sweet. I really liked it and would get it again. Drinks here are a bit pricey but the size of the drinks are larger so it may be bang for your buck.

Craving bubble tea on a Sunday evening, we decided to visit The Alley, a newly opened bubble tea spot in our area. Luckily, we found roadside parking right in front of the store. The atmosphere was good, with people relaxing and enjoying their drinks inside. From the menu options, we ordered a Thai Milk Tea and a Deerioca Crème Brûlée Cold Brew. The service was quick, and our drinks were prepared just as we requested--with less sugar and great flavor. Both drinks were refreshing and delicious, making for a good bubble tea experience.

I've been to The Alley on the west coast and it's always been my favorite boba spot to go to, so I'm glad there was one that opened here! Same vibe, clean space and delicious boba. The interior is clean with an open space, and the workers were friendly. I got the Ube crème brûlée with boba and egg pudding. It's not too sweet. The boba is chewy and it's very creamy. I'm a huge fan!

Popped in while I was shopping the mall because who can say no to boba? Decided to go with one of the top 5 recommended on the menu: ube brown sugar deerioca milk tea. It was delicious, but a little too sweet for me personally. I would come back and try some of the other flavors and drink options listed on the menu. The staff made the drink super quick; less than a 5 minute wait time. The ambiance is chill vibes. It'd be a good place to sit and have a conversation while enjoying your drink.

I decided to come here after seeing all the great reviews. We were greeted once we walked in the door and the service staff were great. The decor was cute and inviting. I had the passion fruit green tea without boba or jelly and the matcha croffle. I enjoyed both items the tea was full of passion fruit flavor and wasn't watered down like most tea shops. The matcha croffle was a nice light flaky dessert not too sweet but just right.

We came in after dinner and I was surprised they weren't busy but it worked out great. Honestly I can't get enough of these teas. The Ube deerioca is just soo good! The ube flavor is subtle the texture of the flan is perfect and the boba adds another dimension I love it. We tried the brown sugar milk tea as well and we liked it but wasn't a fan of the flan in this one but still pretty good. And of course I couldn't leave without a croffle if you haven't tried it yet you should.

Get excited! The new boba shop in Wesley Chapel is now open at Wiregrass Mall. They opened yesterday for their soft opening. Their Grand Opening is this Saturday, September 21, 2024. They will have a raffle with Grand prizes including MacBook and AirPods. Their location: Where Pholicious was near Verizon, Dillards, & Yamato all on the same side. For their first day, they had their brown sugar drinks - 6 options. I picked out the Ube Brown sugar creme brûlée milk tea. The flavors were very vibrant, and I could distinctly taste everything. My fave was the boba and I was sad when it was gone. You can choose your sweetness preference. They also make their our tapioca boba, and use real cane sugar. Happy that they are open here. I feel like we need more boba options in the area. And this one has locations all over the United States and World. Service was friendly and quick. Ambiance is airy and clean with several tables, a community table and two cushy chairs in the back. Restroom is also in the back. I can't wait to try their other drinks like their Snow Strawberry and Lychee Yogurt. For their Grand Opening, the whole menu is available, but this week every day they will offer more gradually each day.

Very clean space and easy to order online. I tried the Ube Brown Sugar Deerioca Creme Brulee milk tea. It was a great combination of flavors and the right amount of sweet.

Went for their grand opening today (09/21) and it was great! They decorated the space really well and have a good setup. It is nice and open with cute decorations and plenty of space for people to hang out. There was a long line (due to it being the grand opening) but they completed the orders in a timely manner while keeping up with the professionalism and kindness. They have an extensive menu with a variety of drinks. We got the Alley Trio Milk Tea and Deerioca Creme Brûlée Cold Brew. The Alley Trio Milk Tea was a black milk tea with boba, lychee coco, and pineapple jelly - it was good but I feel like the jelly and coco flavors overpowered the milk tea because the milk tea tasted a bit tart. I personally would have preferred a milk pudding or egg pudding instead of the jellies. The Creme Brûlée Cold Brew, however, was perfect. The boba and the Creme brûlée (which tasted more like milk pudding to me) paired perfectly with the milky coffee flavor of the cold brew. The boba in both drinks were also cooked to perfection, with the right amount of sweetness and chewiness. I would definitely come back and try their other drinks, like the Royal No. 9 Milk Tea, which is one of their popular drinks. I highly recommend giving them a try if you're in the Wesley Chapel area!

Finally tried this place. We ordered a purple rice yogurt and it was decent. A little sweet and icy to my liking. It's in an big outdoor area so parking might be a little tricky. Will be back to try other things for sure.

    Drinks and rangoons.

Walking by and decided to try this- I think it's new. The cashier was very nice and helped us decide what to try. We had a mango milk tea & a strawberry mochi milk tea. They are both delicious. They have a natural taste- not overly sweet. The crab rangoons have a lot of filling and very tasty.

The tea room itself is a beautiful, eclectic house. Spacious yet cozy, decorated in a delightful hodgepodge of styles that somehow comes together harmoniously. It feels whimsical without tipping into chaos. The kind of place where teacups don't match, and that is precisely the point. Making reservations was pleasantly easy. I emailed on a Sunday for a Wednesday seating and received confirmation by Monday. I was mildly surprised they did not require a credit card deposit, something many tea rooms now request given the labor-intensive preparation and delicate perishables involved. Their trust in the process is refreshing. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. Amiee, the owner and our server, was friendly and engaging, walking us through the tea selections, the promise of unlimited pots, and explaining the offerings that would arrive throughout the experience. We ended up trying five different teas, each pot a small surprise thanks to Amiee's suggestions. I cannot remember all the names, but I can happily say we liked every one of them. One in particular tasted remarkably like banana bread in a cup. Warm, aromatic, perfectly balanced, and thankfully not overly sweet. We were also delighted by the Peach Apricot, bright and cheerful, and really enjoyed the Pomegranate Vanilla Lemur, which had a lovely layered flavor. We began with a creamy mushroom soup, rich and comforting. The scone, served before the tiered tray, was warm, buttery, and quite good, though notably without the traditional Devonshire or clotted cream. Still, it stood proudly on its own. The finger sandwiches were fresh and thoughtfully varied. The bread did not appear homemade, but the selections complemented each filling nicely and everything tasted fresh. The cheese muffin was flavorful, though we both mused that two smaller ones with a slightly moister crumb might have been even better. The sweet tier was satisfying overall. I was initially skeptical about the bread pudding, but the mini chocolate tart and a delicate lemon tart on filo more than made up for it. One of the highlights of the afternoon was chatting with Amiee about the journey of the tea room through the years, including the challenges of navigating the Covid era. I am always impressed by those who pursue a vision in the food industry. It is a difficult road, and places like this exist because of persistence, courage, and a genuine love of hospitality. Another pleasant surprise was the pricing, which is remarkably reasonable compared with the often lofty cost of afternoon tea elsewhere. All in all, The Tilted Teacup offers a warm, charming, and thoughtful tea experience. My friend and I left very pleased, well fed, and with the comforting sense that we had spent the afternoon exactly as it should be spent: with good tea, good conversation, and a table full of small delights. I happily recommend it.
