I visited here two times within the past week and will be visiting again soon. Ive had the spot saved for awhile and finally went and wasn't disappointed. Their menu has a couple options and a good priced combo meal which includes the entree, 2 spring rolls, a cupcake, chips/salad, and a drink- all for under $20. Their tea options were multiple pages long and they also had plenty of options on retail to buy for yourself. I got the bbq bowl both times since it was so good. Everything is given in to-go containers so it's easy to pack up and I had plenty to bring home. The seating is pretty limited having them inside and outside, but there is a whole study room dedicated for being quiet that have some wall plugs for charging your devices. The lounge is also darkly lit allowing natural lightly which makes it perfect to focus on your work. The only downside is that the ac doesn't seem to be strong so it gets hot inside especially if there's a lot of people. I heavily recommend trying a sweetened iced hojicha latte with soy milk to cool you down! I used to come here all the time as a student at USF since they have plenty of indoor AND outdoor patio seating, free WiFi, clean bathrooms, and even a silent tea room that's open to the public (floor seating only, shoes off, no music / excessive noise), resembling an authentic Japanese tea room. The quality and quantum of the food is 100% worth the price and I would recommend upgrading any entree you get to a set which comes with a small dessert, your choice of salad / veggie straws on the side, and 2 spring rolls with dipping sauce. Whether it's your first time or you're just trying something new on the menu, the staff are very patient and helpful talking you through all the options and any dietary restrictions. This has always been a go-to place for studying when I was in undergrad and graduate school. The vibes are so calming and they even have a separate quiet room. The service is always amazing, you feel entirely welcome upon entering and you are always greeted with a smile. Now to the food and teas, this is truly where they shine. They have so many tasty options with many vegan dishes including the spicy red curry which has lemongrass tofu and rice on the side. They have a full loose leaf tea wall and an option to purchase just the tea leaves if you want to make at home (as well as teapots and teacup sets!) OMG, can we just take a moment to admire how beautiful the interior of this place is? One of the first things that caught my eye was their tea sample station--it was such a thoughtful touch! They had different tea options categorized by flavor (sweet, herbal, etc.), and the one offered that day was absolutely delicious. I ordered the vegan curry dish, and wow--it did not disappoint. The heat and spice were perfectly balanced, and it was served piping hot, just the way I like it. I paired it with the tropical tea, which was super refreshing and complemented the meal beautifully. So happy I found this place! I brought a 15 year old with me to show her boba for her first time, and this was the perfect place for us. It was super busy for a Sunday around 3pm, so we had to wait a little bit for a table, but it worked out fine for us. There's even a quiet room where you're supposed to go shoe-free, which is interesting. Lots of different tea options, and I like that it's all super customizable. Such a cute study spot! Good amount of seating indoor, outdoors, and a quiet study area where you take your shoes off and sit on the floor. The WiFi was a bit difficult to connect to and VERY slow ended up hot spotting. The drinks come out quickly and can be customized to milk and toppings of choice. Been to the plaza where they are located a few times but this place closes relatively early and I seem to always miss it after I've dined at another place in the plaza. Well tonight I was determined lol. Walked in and no line, not busy at all. Surprised at how much loose leaf they had for sale as well as other tea items. I already knew what I wanted since I always look at menus before going to new places. I got the strawberry matcha latte, you cannot customize it fyi. So it comes as it comes and that's SWEET. It's sweetness is purely from the strawberry purée, not from any added sugars. The taste - good! But just a bit too sweet for me. All I could really taste was the purée which took away from the matcha for me. So I'll definitely be back and already told my tea friends but I'll be getting something different. Kaleisia is a charming tea lounge, located in a strip mall on Fletcher Avenue. You order at the register, and they call your name when your order is ready. Inside is clean and bright, with wood tables to sit at both inside and outside. They offer free wi-fi, and this would be my home away from home if I were still in college. When the person working the register found out it was my first time in the store, she came out behind the register and gave me a tour of the wall of teas they offer. Since I was looking for a non-caffeinated iced tea, I ended up going with a Rooibos chai tea. I love that she let me know ahead of time it would also have flavors of coconut in it - I was so impressed that she knew her teas down to the fine details. Fresh brewed tea takes about 6-7 minutes to seep, but it's thoughtful they still mentioned it, so I knew how long my drink would take. It was delicious! I had them add boba, but it didn't really need it. I regret that I didn't buy some of that flavorful tea to go, or some of their really cute tea accessories (cups, teapots, etc.). I love their tea paraphernalia's and I love that they have a quiet room as well. The boba is really good and fresh! We ordered some lunch too. We got a bulgogi bowl (I think that's what it was) and an Asian Noodle set which came with spring rolls, a vegan cupcake and some veggie straws. For how much they charge for the set the veggie straws was disappointing. The bowl was good. It was a good portion and good flavor. The Asian noodles...was sad. It's just fettuccine noodles with like peppers and tofu. Very bland and not much flavor. Even after pouring their "sauce" on it. Get something else. The matcha cupcake is on the dry side but for a vegan cupcake it's not too bad. Definitely coming back for the boba and their merch! It'll make cute Christmas presents for the tea lovers! read more

Upon walking in you feel like you've stepped into a half trendy, half lower east side spot. There are tons of tea pots, tea, and specialty drink mixes to purchase on the left, a quiet shoes off space in front of you, and the right the food! Food: As a meat eater myself, I didn't have the highest of hopes for the vegan bulgogi made with seitan. The pictures speak for themselves regarding the beauty of the dish, but the taste? Spot on! Everything we ate was delicious and I can't wait to try more. Service: Excellent. We were able to walk through the menu and process and all of our questions were answered. My partner ordered a tea with as little sugar as possible and the staff asked her to try it first to see if it was to her liking, superb. Because it's a tea house, separate section is a must. The inside has good space for sit down and chat. That is the reason they are tea place. I have the strawberry matcha with milk. It three colors drink look fantastic. I also has boba in it. The drink is thick and rich in flavor. I would consider is a good tea. This review do not include the food they have. May be next review. The tea will require some time to make. Bye Kaleisia! Kaleisia Teas did not turn me into Alicia Keys because I'm certainly not fallin' in and out of love with Kaleisia Teas. Sadly, one of my worst experiences in Tampa. My notes say: "Explain the charging thing. The Banh Mi to homeless. The boba was ok but should have tried other. Prices wow. Customers wow." What this means is that I was wickedly overcharged just for asking for my stuff to be a slightly different way - upcharging FTW. It was ugly. It means the sandwich was so bad, I immediately donated the almost intact serving to the street outside, to someone that needed it more than me even though I was hungry. I'm not rich and I only do that when I find something inedible. Prices are shockingly high. Customers are spectacularly attractive. Well there's that. This is actually the kind of place which is the reason I'm so worried about where I go eat and drink. I always go to cheap places or at the most mid-price places, so it's not that it's a cheap or mid-price place that is the problem. It's just lacking authenticity and has a sort of college hipster fusion element to it which occasionally can make something better or different but just as good, but in this case - as in most cases - it just does nothing for me. The only positive thing I can say about it is that Tampa students seem to really like it so it's a great hang out and people watching environment with interesting and unique decor. But my experience here was bad in terms of product and service and wait time and pricing too. So I won't be visiting Kaleisia in wonderland anytime soon. That's a rabbit hole I'll be avoiding in Tampa, but knock yourselves out. read more
