The food was genuinely delicious, and the fries were some of the best we've had. Unfortunately, the service overshadowed the meal. We arrived at 8:00 p.m. (with the kitchen open until 9:30) and waited nearly an hour before we saw food--even though we were the only two people in the restaurant. Our server was friendly and clearly doing her best, but she was also tending bar next door at Big Mario's, so we rarely saw her. She also got one of our entrees completely wrong, although she did apologize and comp the mistake, which we appreciated. We were patient and understanding, but the overall pace of service was simply WAY too slow. Lovely little dinner with great food and better service nestled in South West Seattle! We came in on a Sunday morning with a group of 8 (I know, horrible, but that's just my immediate family). Luckily, they had just set a large table in the middle, so we were able to sit immediately. Our waitress was quick to get our drinks ordered and made. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they serve alcohol (not knowing their name includes bar, of course;)). For my entree, I ordered the Eggs Benedict. I came here on the recommendation of a friend. The located in the White Center, and you can park on the street where the restaurant is located, but the number is limited. The interior of the restaurant has a retro feel, with counter bars and booths. The server felt very good. My husband and I chose zucchini pasto pasta from the monthly specials menu and added avocado to the BLT. Zucchini Pesto Pasta is Sautéed zucchini noodles mixed with pesto and creole spiced prawns. Prawns has a strong taste, so if you eat it with zucchini pasta, it will taste just right. Adding avocados to BLT sandwiches was the right decision. It is open from 7 am to 10 pm here, and served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Happy Hour is available daily from 2 to 5 pm. We want to come for breakfast next time. read more

Alpine is a solid restaurant, but not a place I'd write home about. It's clean and comfortable with adequate service. I like going here for bunch because they have so much variety on their menu beyond breakfast food available. Their onion rings are pretty good and their BLT is standard- middle of the road. Went to the Alpine on a Sunday and had Bloody Mary's and breakfast. Really good Mary's not too spicey. The eggs bene were amazing with some house made sauce and hashbrowns. Nice little dinner that you can also eat tin the bar if you prefer. Give it a try. Love the angle in parking. read more

We walked in and the hostess/server said she had a booth in the bar. Super quiet up front, but the bar was popping in the back. Our beers came quickly and soon placed our order. Maybe this is the old Noble Barton space??? I had bookmarked this spot to try the next time I trekked to White Center. As I went to scope out the rest of the place, a server brought over a couple of menus. I was either going to blurt out French Dip but then saw the cheesesteak. Small space (with big ceilings) decorated to look like an old school ski lodge - they do a good job of creating a fun atmosphere from the second you walk in. We went on a Monday early evening and it was half-full - guessing on a more traditional breakfast time it was or will be hopping. There isn't any space to wait for a table inside so if you're going make sure to dress appropriately to wait outside. Food is classic diner food done well. I got the club sandwich with fries which was very satisfying - great proportion of bread to other ingredients and a huge pile of crispy fries. My dining companion got pancakes and eggs and bacon which looked appropriately fluffy and crispy in the right ways. Service was fast and friendly and we got the check right away. I've only had the Fried Chicken Dinner at Alpine and that was enough to earn five stars. It's a crispy fry with the perfect amount of batter. It's well seasoned, not spicy, but one of the better fried chickens in the Seattle area. The mashed potatoes are from real potatoes, so that's a nice touch and the veggies seem to be fresh. My sister and I came here for lunch and ordered the vegan wings for her, and I got the Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms, fries and a root beer float. I originally ordered a mango drink (can't recall the name) but our server told me after she took our order that they were out of mango, which was ok because I got the root beer float instead. However, when our food arrived, my Philly cheesesteak was a good size and fries were plentiful. The filling of my cheesesteak was tasty and you pay extra for mushrooms, which was worth it to me. However, my sister's vegan wings were very expensive for what she got, which she was disappointed. There was only one server for the small restaurant which majority was about 75% full. What was also disappointing was I overheard party behind me saying something was off about their breakfast and was pretty disgruntled. I don't know what their order was but they were pretty vocal so it was hard not to hear them. The inside itself was very cute, PNW themed and Big Mario's pizza is connected to The Alpine. I went for breakfast as I saw they had eggs benedict. I've had this dish over 100 times from San Diego to Wash DC, New Orleans to Denver. Sadly this was probably the most bland hollandaise sauce I've ever had. I asked if the hash browns were home made and was told yes, but I had my doubts. Service was fine.
