I would not give a single star except I cannot post a review without this. I purchased a massage through Groupon, yet when I tried to book an appointment, they never had availability even 4 weeks out. I requested to be in their cancellation list to no avail. I also tried to contact Groupon Customer service for assistance, yet during the chat, I would be locked out. I am out the money I paid. I will never again purchase anything from Groupon, nor will I ever entertain the thought of scheduling a massage with Amma Station. This is clearly a bogus operation to lure customers, yet one cannot ever schedule an appointment. I suspect they keep 2 sets of books--one for regular paying customers, and another for Groupon. Those calling to schedule an appointment with Groupon will only have available appointments after the voucher had expired (this is what they offered me). Shame on Amma Station and shame on Groupon. read more

I had bought a Groupon and of course like many a Groupon, you start trembling as the expiration date approaches. So I scheduled an appointment with Jeri. It was not painful to schedule and Jeri was very accommodating. She has a website which makes things a bit easier when figuring out a time to schedule. So I arrived at my appointment a little early since I figured there might be paper work to fill out as many massage/chiropractor places do and I wanted to get my full 70 minute massage. When I got there, the place was locked. I was like...hmm...did I get the wrong time? I checked my reminders and such and still it was the right time. I called Jeri and got her voicemail, so I left a message. I stuck around as I was able to since it was my day off. So I played on my phone. Jeri finally arrived in a frazzle and apologized that she was late. It was approximately 20 min later. It was fine. I had no where to go until lunch. So I went in and filled out paper work that stated where I had issues if any. Jeri got the room ready with the calming music. Jeri was very sweet and was very interested in what I've had issues with in my body and focused on what issues I had. Before starting of course you wonder, how naked do I have to get? You can get as comfortable as you want to which is nice. Although yes she massages through a sheet, I didn't mind it. She starts off with you lying face forward, then face up where she does more acupressure work. Mind you I haven't had acuppressure before so, I wanted to try it out. I'm sure she did it correctly. I just don't think it did much for me. After having Thai massages in Thailand, I've realized I need something a bit more rigorous. Not to say Jeri wasn't rigorous, I think it was just the type of massage. Jeri was great. She was very in tune with how much pressure to apply and asks if it's too much or too little unlike some masseuses who just want to break you. It's definitely soothing, though having a room right next to the front of the office, you can hear the phone go off and messages being left, so it can be a bit distracting. Either way, if you want to try Jeri out, I would highly recommend her. I just don't think it was my thing. read more

Also purchased a groupon for a massage. I called 3 weeks prior to the groupon expiring and was told that the wait for a massage was approximately 8 weeks. I inquired as to whether my groupon would be honored at that time and the answering service took down my name and number and question . No response. I also emailed the business, as suggested on the Groupon - guess what? No response. I tried to contact Groupon about the matter and for days on end their website is not working for email contacts (I type but the letters disappear). Very poor business practices from Amma Station. As a previous review noted in 2017 - do NOT waste your money - Groupon or otherwise at a business with NO customer service. read more

Massage therapist was a no show to my appointment. I waited for 40 minutes since I thought it was my mistake in the calendar, called three times and could not get a hold of the owner. Finally, I left. 7 hours later, the owner calls me when she finally realized her mistake. 7 hours later. To be fair, she made an attempt. But I was done. I got a Groupon for a 70 minute massage and made an appointment over the phone. They were booked a month out so plan ahead of time if you need massages frequently. The office is located in a medical center so there's plenty of parking. I was greeted by Jerri and was shown to a room with a lavender infuser and meditation music in the background. The massage was really relaxing! Jerri specializes in accupressure and it really helped with the tension I have in my neck and shoulders. I highly recommend coming here if you have any aches and pains. read more

If I can give 0 stars, I would. I purchased a 3-series of 70 minute massages via Groupon and could never get ahold of the owner. An answering service picks up the phone, and doesn't know anything except how to book an appointment. Have a question? Sorry, they don't know. None of the availabilities were in the near future, nor were they after normal business hours, when normal people are available after work. I called, and left a message with the answering service for the owner, and they couldn't even tell me a timeframe in which she would return my call. 24 hours? 48? 72? Nope, no timeframe. I call again a few weeks later at 4:30c after no response, and now I'm told to call back the next day between 8am-4pm, when the office is opened. I call back the next morning at 9, and they tell me the office isn't open until 10am-8pm. No one knows when they're open apparently. No one knows how to contact the owner. Groupon's investigation unit had to reach out to them for me, and they promised they'd call me in 3 business days. I gave them 4 days, and am now finally getting Groupon credit back. DO NOT USE AMMA STATION. I wish I had seen the previous reviews before mine to avoid this fiasco. It's been so stressful to deal with their failure of a system. read more

I had a bad experience with the acupressure massage however Jeri respectfully addressed it after I posted a negative review. I have since received a refund for my Yelp deal and I'm content. I have concluded that Jeri is a great person who sometimes has bad days, just like the rest of us. I wish I had come on a 5-star day because I probably would be returning. read more

I've been going to Jeri for about a year now, and I would not hesitate in recommending her to anyone. I had never had accupressure therapy done before, so it was a bit surprising on my first visit. I was also surprised that she did use a sheet instead of massage oils or creams. However I have since come to really enjoy accupressure because I have a few chronic injuries that really benefit from trigger point therapy. Sometimes, on my request, she uses a range of styles (including Swedish), but I have found that those other styles really pale in comparison to accupressure now that I have gotten used to it. I also no longer notice the sheet anymore, and I think I would feel uncomfortable now if I left an appointment covered in heavy oils. Overall, Jeri is a skilled practitioner. I trust her completely with my injuries, and she is very attentive to your requests on each visit. I'd give her 6 stars if I could! read more

I have no idea why it's taken me this long to write a review because I've been seeing Jeri for YEARS! She's helped with migraines, prenatal aches and pains (and with carrying twins, those were pretty major), shoulder and neck pain, and overall well-being and helping me to keep my body in balance. She knows EXACTLY what she's doing and is very responsive to your body's feedback. Her "new" location is very soothing; I feel like I'm going on nice, relaxing mini get-away. Her rates are also very reasonable, especially if you go with the pre-paid massages. If you are looking for a froofy whimpy massage, this may not me for you, but if you want to walk away feeling stretched, refreshed and 10 pounds lighter, she can work her magic. We were so sore after our skiing trip and she made us feel so much better. She is very knowledgeable about pressure points and strong enough to actually manipulate them effectively. She's great. I waited for 15 minutes (appointment time came and went) and called the phone number which turned out to be an answering service who couldn't help. One of my favorite place to go get a massage. I happen to know this place through groupon deals and so I bought the deal. It was like $49 for 60 min massage. The place was clean and organize. I absolute loved this place and my practioner was Jeri and she was awesome. She was so nice and ask me a whole bunch of question regarding where I was in pain. So our session go on and I have to say its was one of my most excellent massages that I have had in years. Its was so good that I think I fell alseep. LOL. I had a groupon for 3 sessions. It was easy to make appointments. The 1st appointment, Jeri was late for about 15 min. She apologized. The massage was very good, I didn't care whether it was through a sheet or not. Jeri listened to my issues, and proceeded to try to work on those trouble spots. The 2nd appt Jeri didn't show up. She later called to apologize (it was due to a conference she was attending) and offered me a complimentary massage. I was happy about that. The last two massages were good, and I felt asleep both times. When I woke up, I felt refreshed. Jeri was very easy to work with, and I liked her style. We purchased a groupon deal. Jerry was easy to work with and the massage was great. But the regular price is just too high. I can get equally good massage at almost half the price elsewhere. Since the massage itself was good we bought the yelp deal when it came out. Unfortunately we totally forgot about it for a while. It was already a week past the deadline by the time we remembered about it. I called the owner and she basically said that I have to pay the full price minus the amount I paid to yelp. I did not really expect her to honor the Yelp Deal past the due date, but I was expecting some discount off the regular price. As I said before, I can get equally good massage elsewhere for the "extra" money I would have to pay here. So the yelp deal will stay unused forever. To be fair, the massage was excellent. The average rating is purely based on high price and owner's refusal to to workout a discounted price for a deal that had expired just a week earlier. read more

She is incredibly friendly and flexible when it comes to making appointments. She also has a definite magical touch. Being trained in sports massage myself, I have an inkling about what's going on. I've had some serious hip issues for the past five years and usually have my inexperienced wife jam her elbow into where it counts. Someimes I just want to relax and not have to give instructions although my wife is getting a lot better about palpating and working on my trouble spots. With some formal training she'll be a great massage therapist. I thought I'd try one of these yelp deals. Well... after the 2 or 3 day wait to hear back from her on my initial call, we played phone tag because she couldn't manage calling me at a decent hour. When I finally got the appointment I showed up and the lady had no recollection that I had ordered the yelp deal but gave it to me anyway. I found it hard to do the relax and receive thing as there were several times she needed direction. She never addressed my hip issues which I explained was the reason I was there. Whatr is with these people that charge $100 and have no clue what's going on. I've never been to those joints that are just pimping massage therapist but I would imagine this lady is a step above. read more

Her hands find the trouble spots and makes them better. As a physician and surgeon, I often have stiff neck and shoulders. Jerri keeps me in good working order. Called several times and can't get a hold of anyone but the answering service and no one ever calls back to schedule- all the dates are booked out till 2 months after the groupon expires. If Jeri is operating a legitimate service as she purports to on Groupon, then she should hire enough front desk managers to schedule out her services and hire more masseuse's to manage the amount of people booking the groupons. Otherwise this service is a complete hoax- no matter how great you are if you sell more services than you can deliver and don't even have the decency to call people back you should close shop. read more

I don't why it's taken me so long to Yelp about Jeri . . . she was amazing! She has magic fingers and puts just the right amount of pressure into her massages. Her fingers can apply tons of pressure or go light if that's what you prefer (I prefer my massages with a lot of pressure). She finds out exactly what you're looking for ahead of time and then customizes her techniques based upon your feedback. The location in Sunnyvale is very professional and comfortable.
