I went to The Angle last week for my first time ever around 7pm and really enjoyed myself. I actually came for an open mic night thrown by a local Long Island Poetry group called Poem Stars. While there, I ordered from the happy hour menu, which went till 730pm. I enjoyed some delicious salmon sashimi and scallion pancakes. The sushi tasted super fresh and the scallion pancakes... gosh darn it, were literally the best I've ever had! They were light, crispy, oh so flavorful and yet far from oily. The bartender was extremely friendly and welcoming, while the sushi Chef was efficient, focused and clearly in the zone. I'll definitely be coming back to explore more of their menu. read more

This business establishment has menus sitting on the outside of the door stating that they open at 11:30 AM. In reality, they open at 1 PM. Today they decided to open LATE, not at 1PM which caused me to leave. Opening late shows a complete lack of respect for your customers and unprofessionalism. read more

It's more of a hibachi place, but we went in trying sushi with a Groupon. We did see a lot of parties there for hibachi and they were very entertained with the experience. They offer a decent variety of rolls, we opted for a few cooked and raw and although it wouldn't be my first choice for a sushi place, it was a decent meal. Service was pretty quick and the deal we had made it worth the trip. read more

Meh. Won't bother coming back - The karage was probably the worse I've ever had. Hard, dry, chewy - shrimp teriyaki was over cooked - sushi boat - was okay. The service was fine since there was just us and one other table during lunch. read more

What a great spot to come to with your kids! My 3 and 5 year old loved the balloon hats they got, food and entertainment. They even had chicken fingers and fries for the picky one!! Hibachi was yummy- did steak and chicken. Also had tuna tartare and a spicy tuna special roll and was happy at how fresh and good the sushi was!! The people that work there are amazing and cater to a family crowd. This was our first time going and we will certainly be back. There was also live music there on a Friday night. I came to The Angle because I read previous reviews about great experiences with children. I am a mother of two toddlers and I can only dine at kid friendly restaurants. We had the Hibachi Deluxe and the Shrimp and scallops deluxe. The amount of food is a great portion where you would wind up taking a doggy bag. We checked in and we got a free cocktail. Stopped in for Happy Hour, you cannot beat this deal! We had a very nice sashimi platter for $21, and a delish salmon roll for $9. Bar was nice, service was good. Great service, food was ok. I'd not come back for either tho. Just a quick bite on our way to play some tennis and this was close by.

What a fun experience for a place within 10 minutes driving distance from home. I made a reservation when i arrived my party was sat with a birthday celebration. The cook shared some laughs. Lots of saki, and cooked up a storm! I asked for my veggies to be cooked extra and he happily obliged. The portions were epic and cmon it's Hibachi. You have fun, you laugh, you drink copious amounts of sake but most of all you share the experience. The wait staff was very attentive the food was well prepared and the ingredients tasted fresh! We went to the Angle on New Years Eve, which is always a crazy night. After a little sitting issue, which was handled very nicely, we were seated. Our cook was very accommodating and very nice to the young children, making balloons to make them happy as well as putting on a littke show. The food was very good and the portions were a nice size. I wanted to love this place after seeing them on Instagram but I could only recommend coming here for Hibachi. They offer a combo of hibachi and seafood boils which sounded amazing but after trying it they should just stick to the hibachi. Seafood boils weren't very good. Drinks were mediocre as well. I went on a busy Friday night and customer service was a 4/10. This could be because they are fairly new. Now as for ambiance I was highly disappointed. On a Friday night I'd like to hear some good music not a older man playing his guitar for hours. At one point they even played baby music over the loud speaker. read more

I have dined here several times now and have always had a positive experience. The chefs are great and put on an entertaining show for all ages. The food is tasty and portions are generous. My only complaint is even with a reservation there is occasionally a wait at your table for the chef and show to begin. Also had a waiter in training once that probably should not have been serving tables alone. He was bringing out the wrong drink orders and missing water/sodas. I am sure it was a learning curve and somewhat of a language barrier but I will definitely be back again and am still a happy customer. read more

Came here for hibachi, it was my first time going so I have no context but this was SO FUN! We showed up 30 minutes before closing and they were so nice, happy to seat us and did a full hibachi for just us 2. There was live music, the hibachi chef was hilarious, they brought out a free desert for my birthday, everything was so fast and the food was great. My husband took me to The Angle restaurant for Valentine's Day. We had an amazing time. The staff was friendly, polite and courteous. The chef was awesome! He was so funny and very entertaining. So many great things to say I don't know where to start! I took my daughter and a couple of her friends here for her birthday and they really made it a special night! Our chef was funny and personable and put on a great show! Since we were celebrating, we each got a balloon headband and a special happy birthday song, complete with a visit from their bear and a bowl of ice cream. The food was delicious and plentiful! Great food, was cooked perfectly and delicious. They made a gluten free, allergy friendly meal for my daughter. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Restaurant was clean and nicely set up. Hibachi tables were not spaced on top of each other. Tables were good size, not too small for a big party but not too big that they make you wait long to fill up before you start. The hibachi was cold, portions were small. We asked for brown rice and they didn't make it hibachi style instead it was cold and very dry. I ordered shrimp and it was cold with barely any veggies. Left hungry and annoyed. My son ordered ice cream which came in a container (not in a bowl) that looked like a hospital treat with horrible fat on the bottom of the container and terrible artificial ingredients. They get one star for the hibachi show but it was also annoying he wasted all the good veggies being tossed at customers. They have the potential to do better but I def won't coming back ! read more

I came with 8 other family members for my sister's birthday. We had a reservation and they were ready for us. The host and wait staff were attentive. They were patient, answered all questions, and even made a balloon birthday hat for my sister, sang happy birthday with a costumed character and gave her an ice cream sundae. My group had 2 toddlers that were given high chairs and cute beginners chopsticks for them to use. The chef was fun and entertaining. From beginning to end the food and service was great. This is a new place that opened around Sept 2022, but somehow had never heard of it. We decided to try it and were pleasantly surprised. They have full Hibachi tables as well as regular seating and a nice bar area. The service was prompt and the menu has good variety. We notice many groups that included kids. They do have a kids menu and the Hibachi cooks keep it fun. The food was quick to be served and met our requested temperature for meat. Pricing was reasonable and the wine was nice. Went on Christmas with my kids after plans were cancelled since the host got sick. Everyone was lovely and the food was excellent. Daniel was great and my kids loved their first experience (big plus after being disappointed about not being able to see their family) They had gifts for the little kids under a Christmas tree which was adorable. (Quick backstory ) I have been depressed for the last 19 years , aswell as having major ptsd from the war. As the food was placed in front of me by the handsome man, I didn't even have to pick up a fork , as the man started feeding me by hand, at that instant , my severe life shattering depression was instantly cured, and the only ptsd left in me would be this dinner tonight. Based on reviews, we thought we'd love it but were very disappointed. Both my husband & I had the hibachi shrimp dinner. The clear soup was only bullion. Other similar restaurants serve miso soup. The salad was all lettuce with one lonely cherry tomato. While the shrimp, fried rice, and vegetable portions were huge, they had no taste & we each only ate half.
