Tailgators is our go to place not just during Crawfish season; service can be a hit or miss but all you have to do is speak up, everyone is always willing to help! It's low key and chill, good mix of music and fan fav sports always playing on the TVs. Now for food recommendations because you can literally get anything from their menu that isn't good! Cajun chicken and/or shrimp pasta so be flavorful and just the right amount of spice and heavy helping. Buffalo fried shrimp medium spice is the absolute best! Perfect crunch and saucy; if you get them take out then ask for the sauce on the side and once you're home they will still be tasty! Their Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms is deliciously cooked and flavorful. There catfish bites and regular fried fish also delish. Double fried wings garlic parm, lemon pepper rub, you can't go wrong they're all yummy! I'd say the sliders are the least favorite and probably would not order again. Let me start by saying Tailgators Pub and Grill has potential. Unfortunately, that potential was violently murdered the moment Crystal became my server. I have eaten meals faster than this woman brings a check. I ordered my food, lived an entire life, aged like a fine wine, questioned my mortality, and then--after what felt like half my remaining lifespan--my check finally arrived. The other half of my life was taken when she somehow messed up the simplest wing order known to mankind. These weren't complicated wings. I didn't ask for truffle oil harvested by monks under a blood moon. I explained my order in grave, painful detail. Slowly. Clearly. Honestly, I was one step away from hiring a courtroom sketch artist. At one point I'm convinced Crystal needed crayon pictures to understand what "simple wings" meant. She claimed she was "taking notes," but based on the outcome, I can only assume she was doodling unicorns or writing her future resignation letter. And here's where it really becomes performance art: we watched her taking shots with other patrons like this was happy hour meets spring break. So when my order came out wrong--and I mean impressively wrong--it made perfect sense. Apparently the wings were prepared using the same level of focus as someone trying to read a menu through tequila goggles. The food itself? Could've been great. Could've been legendary. I'll never know, because by the time it arrived incorrectly, I had already emotionally detached from the experience and accepted hunger as my new personality. Went to Tailgator's on Monday night around 8pm. Not busy at all. It was seat yourself. My daughter and I set down at a table. After 5 minutes a server came by and said someone will be with us in a minute. We waited another 5 minutes and still no one came to out table. No menus or drink orders. We observed at least 6 servers in the restaurant, 2 were wraping silverware just chatting away. One was deep in conversation with some other customer and not paying attention. Two were working other tables but just looked at us and went on to something else. We saw one behind a desk talking to the other servers as they went by. We left after 15 minutes. This was horrible service but then can it be horrible if you never got any service? We were regulars here weekly but after this probably not any more. Never saw a manger either. Owners need to get this fixed before they lose more customers. read more

Wanted to update my previous reviews. My wife and I are regulars and we LOVE the food and the atmosphere on both sides. I haven't had anything on the menu I didn't like. The waitstaff is very friendly and on point. I miss the days when Rick and Grant would walk around and check in on us. No one does that anymore. However, there is a new manager, I believe his name is Rob. He always stops by and sees how our food is and if we need anything. Kinda reminds me of the how it used to be. Too inconsistent with the quality of food. I actually got sick twice in 2 weeks from the shrimp, which I've had at least 10 times before. But twice in 2 back to back visits is not a coincidence. Steak Fingers & Gravy (appetizer) was good. The fingers are long and thin with a thin crust. It doesn't taste gamey like some places do. The white gravy tasted heavy on butter, which was kind of strange. The boudin balls had good seasoning. It was my favorite of the dishes. The gumbo is supposedly very popular. I found it heavy on chicken, okra seeds and celery only. I didn't see any sausage. The spicy crawfish boil was spicy as if it was boiled in jalapeño broth. It was also seasoned well. read more

MUCH, much better than the Kuykendahl location. Was there for a World Cup match on Friday (12/2/22). Great double-fried wings and burgers. What stood out most was the excellent service at the bar. Jo (I think short for Jordan) was incredible. She was slammed with a full bar, plus the rest of the restaurant, and managed to provide fantastic, personal service....remembered everyone's name (impressive) and was super attentive. Good bar food selection, beers, and a clean inviting environment. Everyone I encountered was super nice and seemed genuinely happy to be working. I will make it a point to visit often to catch games at this location....and avoid the one on Kuykendahl like the plague. I did a lot of Yelp research to find a good fish and chips in this area to find Tailgator's and was not disappointed. The fish is cod and was very light and tender with a light crunchy perfectly seasoned batter. It comes in 1 and 2 fillet versions and you'll need the 2 fillet version because the fish is thinner than most cod I've had. Tow fillets and your choice of two sides is very reasonably priced at $9.99. I got coleslaw and chips with mine. The coleslaw was slightly sweet and very fresh and crunchy and I liked it very much. The tartar sauce is house made and some of the most flavorful I've had. The chips (fries) on the other hand were not very good. They were seasoned fries and had far too much salt for both your health and taste. They were obviously frozen grocery store type product and I left most of them on my plate as did my wife. They serve beer inside the restaurant, which is connected by both an internal and separate outside entry to the adjacent full bar. Since children are served in the restaurant, no hard liquor is allowed in the restaurant and nobody under 21 is allowed in the bar. The restaurant atmosphere however it a typical sports pub with dozens of TV screens around the walls. Free WiFi is provided. The service was adequate and the prices are very reasonable. If I lived near this are I would have his on my list of places to eat. read more
