After researching different places that come recommended for children's ear piercings I decided on The Apollo for my kid sister's first ear piercing. We arrived as walk-in and met Blue who was very easy to talk to and very friendly. He spoke to us adults about the cost and process, and spoke directly to my 8 year old sister to answer any questions she had and help ease her anxieties. Blue is very good with kids. Both Blue and Bunny talked my sister through the whole process as they were preparing. She was given the option to do one at a time or both at the same time (extra cost) and she chose both. Blue and Bunny communicated well with each other to make sure they were piercing at the same time, which was reassuring to witness. When my sister got nervous, Blue stopped and spoke with her very calmly, reassuring her about the pain. He was so sweet and patient with her. Afterwards they told my sister and us adults the process for cleaning the piercings and told us to come back in 6 weeks to shorten the post (they initially put a large post to have room for swelling). And then they gave my sister a certificate of bravery which is a lovely touch. Overall I would definitely recommend this place. It's clean, kid friendly, adult friendly, with a nice selection of jewelry, and very patient staff for a nervous 8 year

I can't say enough good things about Apollo tattoo. It was my first tattoo, and I was very nervous. But as soon as I walked in, it looked clean and very professional. When I explained why I was getting a tattoo I got emotional and they were very sweet and understanding. They explained every step of the process and produced a beautiful tattoo. It healed perfectly. I get lots of compliments everywhere I go. If I ever get another one, I'll be back.

I LOVE my piercing. They have an awesome array of high quality jewelry. Blue was very friendly and the service he provided was exceptionally quick, clean, and professional. I'm very happy with my experience and my piercing has healed beautifully! Thank you. Definitely coming back for future piercings.

Bri was amazing; very professional and easy to work with. We love our tattoos! Only reason it wasn't a 5 was because I didn't appreciate the way the owner addressed his very excellent female staff, like they were less than. But everyone else in the parlor was wonderful.

Conversation with the tattoo artist admitting he damaged pigment.

Do not give your money to Apollo Tattoo Studio. This business is unethical and fraudulent. The Owner Blue Mason is the cause. Everything I say here is true. If you doubt me, feel free to call/text/email me at (510) 589-5911 or hireLJC@gmail.com Don't be deceived by their polished interior, fancy flooring, or expensive jewelry on display--it's all a facade. My experience was terrible. They charge $300 an hour and promote themselves as highly skilled professionals. I was assured multiple times that the artist was experienced, especially with tattooing on brown skin. The artist was a Black man, and I specifically asked whether he understood how to properly apply color to my skin tone. They confidently said yes and pointed to his credentials and past work. But during the tattooing, my skin was clearly being overworked. I asked the artist to move to another part of my arm because of the pain. He insisted we "push through" and said he was trying to make it perfect. I trusted him and the owner Blue Mason--wrong move on my part. Two weeks later, my arm was damaged, see pics. The owner, Blue, stood there watching and even laughed at my discomfort with his employees. I've have over 20 tattoos from reputable places like Lincoln Tattoo Company, The Tattoo Lab, and Del Rey Tattoo Co. I've never had skin damage or a bad experience like this. These shops were affordable and professional. Apollo Tattoo studio was the complete opposite, do not take the risk! After the damage, I visited three other tattoo shops. All of them told me this damage wasn't a healing issue; it was clear that the artist damaged my skin by overpacking color. They said a more experienced artist would've done a light first layer, allowed it to heal, and then applied more if needed. Apollo tattoo studio did not care. To make it worse, halfway through the session, the artist left for nearly an hour to buy an energy drink--this hour wasn't deducted from my bill. We also took a 30-minute break for lunch. I was kind enough to buy him food. Despite this, he still asked for a tip on top of the $300 hourly rate. Over lunch, he talked about his business goals and needing money and schemes for LA 2028 when the Olympics are in LA. It was clear they are more focused on profits than on providing good service. I later messaged the artist Raa @hand_of_raa_tattoo on Instagram, and he admitted to damaging my skin. I showed this to the owner, but still got no refund, no apology, nothing - these are simple not good humans. I will say Raa is simply a worker and literally does everything Blue Mason says as Raa has kids and family to support. Although Raa was the artist, I blame Blue Mason as he monitored every step of the process and I had conversations with him and he laughed as I was in pain. Lastly, Blue had the nerve to say the damage was my fault. I've had color tattoos before and never experienced pain like this from my 20 tattoos. When I asked why they didn't offer numbing cream, the artist said he assumed I could handle the pain because I had so many tattoos. That's careless and unprofessional. Do not go to Apollo Tattoo Studio or any place Blue Mason is apart of. They overcharge, underdeliver, and show zero care for their customers. This was my most expensive tattoo and most damaging experience in 13 years of getting tattoos. Save yourself the pain--literally and financially--and go anywhere else. If you think I'm lying, exaggerating, etc, call me text me, email me, this is no BS!

I texted the shop the questions I had and got a response so fast! The shop is so clean. The staff is all so friendly. Bunny did my nipples piercings and she was absolutely amazing. Made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. Although it's a little more pricey than other places I was quoted they took Afterpay and the staff made the price so worth it! I will be back forsure!

The whole studio crew was very friendly and helped me with the design as soon as I arrived as a walk in. Hannah brought that into reality and I couldn't be happier with the result. The studio itself is great environment and was very reasonably priced. Could not recommend Apollo Tattoo enough!

My appointment went smooth and bunny was awesome! Super sweet and prioritizes sanitary along with making sure to consult that I was a good candidate for my piercing. Loved her!!!!

Sent an inquiry yesterday and got a call back within an hour. Same day appointment for a piece that I've been waiting on for years. The shop is beautiful, clean and the vibe is top tier. My tattoo is beautiful, the quality is beautiful. I am so thankful for divine alignment and finding my Cali shop and tattoo Artist. Highly recommend!

The studio is beautiful - looks like a jewelry store. The staff is great. Briana did my tattoo - it is perfect!

TLDR: don't trust this place with your precious jewelry…read more I had a ring band repaired here last year and it went fine. No issues. Recently, on my second visit to Curated LA, I brought my antique wedding ring in to have it resized. It is a Victorian era ring (very old but well maintained). They said it would be ready in a few days. The next week I reached out to see if it was ready and they said that the prongs needed to be secured, which would cost an additional amount. I agreed and they said they were working on it that day. 3 days later I checked in to see if it was ready for pick up. She said they were still working on it and she'd contact me the following week. The following week she said they were still working on it. It was finally ready 2 weeks after I'd originally brought it in. She said it looked like new. When I picked it up we were heading out of town to evacuate the Palisades fire so I was in a rush, but quickly thereafter noticed the prongs looked misshapen and it was snagging on things. I was planning on bringing it back in when we got back to town. Before I had the chance to a small diamond fell out. I messaged Curated LA that a stone had fallen out and I was very upset - they had just adjusted the prongs (which I hadn't even brought the ring in for). I was told to bring the ring in to have them look at it. No apology. Also no apology for the delay on getting it back to me in the first place. When I voiced frustration she said that they do so many repairs each week she can't keep track, my ring wasn't in good condition, and that stones fall out all of the time - from new rings and vintage ones alike. Regardless, I am not bringing my ring back to Curated LA. It is not about the money (the repairs didn't cost much). They never offered to refund it or to replace the missing stone. I'm bringing it to a jeweler that has a workshop in house and does it themselves rather than outsourcing it. Don't trust your valued jewelry for repairs with this shop.

TL;DR - L'Oliphant sold us a FAKE men's wedding band that was listed as 14KT solid white gold (for…read more$1,000!). We found out AFTER our wedding that it was some alloy of iron and nickel covered in gold. When we went to the shop, BJ didn't take any responsibility. After my husband pressured her she did eventually refund us for the original amount. However, we still suffered losses paying for the ring authentication AND the increase in gold price from last year. Oh and now we know we had a FAKE ring in our wedding and all of the photos for the rest of our lives. You can see in my Yelp history that I normally avoid writing reviews like this, as I understand how bad reviews can impact certain businesses. I already know that the owner BJ is going to write and deny all of this but I feel that I'm truly doing the public a disservice by not saying anything because we got scammed. The only thing that would have prevented me from leaving this review is if she took FULL responsibility and went above and beyond to make it right. Clearly, we are all reading my review right now so she did NOT make it right or even take an inkling of responsibility. We were recommended L'Oliphant's services for custom engagement and wedding bands. The entire process took a few weeks in 2024. The process was not as smooth as I would have preferred - their receipt system is absolutely a mess, and we had to drive across town numerous times for appointments or to review designs in person. What really was the kicker - we purchased a men's white gold wedding band and we were assured it was solid gold. Priced at $1000. When we received it, it had an imperfection on it that we pointed out several times to BJ but she kept insisting that it was just an issue with the casting and refused to fix it. Anyways, we were sick and tired of driving all the way across town every week so we just accepted it and assumed we could polish out the imperfection later. Because how were we supposed to know? A few months after our wedding, we took a necklace to a different jeweler down the street for some work. Asked him if he could polish the imperfection on the ring. Immediately he knew it wasn't solid gold. Showed us on the microscope - the imperfection was actually a CHIP in the top layer of gold and there was some non gold metal underneath. He also did a scratch test for us to show that the metal underneath was not gold. I've attached a photo of the imperfection under the microscope and you can clearly see, it is not gold underneath. We called L'Oliphant to ask them, Christina picked up the phone and was very kind and assured us they would make it right but that we could take it to an independent coin shop that does gold scanning to be sure. We followed her recommendation and paid $50 for the written report. The gold shop scanned the ring right in front of us where the imperfection was and showed us that it had nickel and iron in it. No gold ring should have nickel or iron, and the shop owners actually told us that they wouldn't even buy that kind of ring because the gold layer on top is essentially worthless due to the alloy content inside. This gold shop is a highly reputable business with 500+ Yelp reviews and a 4.8 star rating - so we have no reason not to believe them. I've attached a video of the scan (sped up, as Yelp does not allow videos over 30s). When we brought the scan proof and ring back to L'Oliphant, BJ took zero responsibility and immediately denied everything, stating that "other jewelers have it out for us here" and that "some people put acid on their jewelry" and also that "the scanner may not have been calibrated correctly" so she needed to test it herself. She took out a literal magnet and showed us that it did not stick to the ring. Amazing. I asked if she had her scanner or even some microscope to look at it in store and she said no, that she'd have to take the ring and scan it within the next two weeks. My husband pushed her to refund us the original amount, which she did, but that was the BARE MINIMUM in making this right for us. BJ took the ring and told us she would test the ring HERSELF. This is the only test we've had without transparency where we won't be able to see the results with our eyes. To add insult to injury - she had one of her shop associates call us to tell us a week later that, miraculously, the ring is solid gold based on her tests. I already know she will respond to my review denying this - she can deny all she wants but we took the ring and had it verified by TWO independent sources and both sources confirmed it was not solid gold. The worst part was - the imperfection on the ring was already there the day we bought it. It never should have been sold to us like that, but I'm truly grateful it was there, as we probably would not have found out that the ring was fake until years later. I would not recommend doing business with L'Oliphant.

My…read morefiancée and I had scheduled an appointment to view diamonds in person and were seriously prepared to purchase a ring worth approximately $13,000. This was our second appointment, and we expected the level of care and professionalism that should come with such an important purchase. Instead, Kathryn repeatedly referred to my fiancée by the wrong name in multiple follow-up emails, even after spending more than an hour with us in person. After the fourth incorrect email, I responded with the correct name and explained that the repeated mistake was disrespectful. My fiancée was copied on that message because she was understandably offended. Kathryn then replied only to me and omitted my fiancée from the response, which made the situation feel even more dismissive and deliberate. During the appointment, Kathryn also repeatedly emphasized the customer service survey and mentioned that she was not paid commission. That stood out for the wrong reasons. A positive customer experience should lead to a good survey response naturally; customers should not feel pressured about a survey while basic professionalism is lacking. Whether this was intentional or the result of a severe lack of attention to detail, the conduct was egregious and unacceptable. If a salesperson cannot correctly use a customer's name, include the appropriate person in an email, or handle a concern professionally, I cannot trust that a major ring purchase would be handled with the care and accuracy it requires. This experience caused us to lose confidence in the store, and I would strongly caution others before making an important purchase here.
