Is it possible to give this place more stars? This exceeded my expectations. I thought it was just going to be some pop up place with just a apple themed pastries/ ice cream. Oh no was I wrong, it was a super cute barn, that had goats, chickens and pigs! Also a small antique shop outside that you can meander through. It was a busy night as there was live music, but there were plenty of different tables and chairs for you to sit and just enjoy the weather. Love!! We were visiting the area for a wedding and I wanted to do a fun Fall activity with my little guy. We live in NC and I miss New England in the Fall! I did some Yelping and found The Apple Place. We stopped in on a Friday and it was awesome. The employees were super friendly and made sure to tell us to go look out for the baby pigs. Unfortunately the baby pigs were hibernating in their hay stacks but my son loved watching the chickens. They had some really pretty different types to check out. It was also the perfect picturesque spot to grab some foliage/pumpkin pictures. Even though it was a bit chilly the ice cream section was still pretty packed-- a sign of some tasty ice cream for sure. We opted in to some apple cider donuts, 1/2 gallon of cider, huge peanut butter cups, chocolate dipped pretzel stick, and a cup of their soup of the day. Everything was delicious! This is a fun place to have an ice cream. I went on May. Farm was not open then. So I had a couple of ice creams and had a couple of items from bakery. There were good outdoor seats to relax and have an ice cream. I had 2 large ice creams. You can put up to 4 flavors in a cup. Graham Cracker Crunch was my favorite. Ginger and Orange pineapple were also excellent flavors. Purple Cow, Chocolate Raspberry Truffle, Almond Joy, Pistachio and Peanut Butter Oreo were other flavors I went for. They were all good. After we finally made it to our first visit to The Apple Place, I wished checked it out earlier. I'd mistakenly thought it was "just" another apple stand, but there is so much to enjoy here! There's the barn where there are a variety of apples in crisp, white bags, all looking so very fresh and fantastic. Our first visit was in October, so there were gourds and giant pumpkins for sale. There are two small, open rooms lined with vintage finds you can purchase (I'm a thrifter, so this was a nice surprise). There's a spot to get your ice cream orders, and you've got to check out their ice cream menu! Then of course is the area where you can order whatever soup, sandwich, and desserts they're offering that day. You can also buy whole pies. Again, the menu is fantastic and everything we've tried has been nothing short of excellent! There are so many yummy treats, you really just have to go for yourselves. We've come to have a coffee or cider and an apple flat, a cup of broccoli cheddar soup and a spinach feta croissant, and we've taken pies home to enjoy with friends. Just today we saw a group of adults with their littles heading to the corn maze. There's something for everyone. Also of note are a slew of parking spaces from the entrance and down a little slope and extending out from there. There's one handicapped space market out front). And the seating is spread out over the property, so your practicality guaranteed a spot to relax and enjoy. Just come check out The Apple Place without hesitation! Great place for some fresh ice cream and some baked goodies. Like any other creamery, you can mix and match flavors. I had the dark chocolate and PB flavors and I absolutely loved it. Peeking thru their baked delicacies I got a couple of the chocolate PB brownies and a couple coconut macaroons and they were absolutely delicious. The brownies were so chewy and delicious and keeps you craving for more. I will definitely come back here for either the ice creams or the baked goods. I honestly can't believe how long I've lived near the Apple Place and never had the pleasure of visiting. I recently came with some kiddos and had such a good time we came back the next day This place is loaded with fun stuff, they have a kids themed corn maze each year which the girls I brought absolutely loved!! Along with a backyard filled with fun toys, swings, slides etc for the kids, and a few beautiful rocking swings for the adults to chill as well. They also have a ton of ice cream choices which, from the few we tried, were all super delicious! Ginger, Apple, chocolate peanut butter, cotton candy, and tons more! Near the ice cream window there is a cute little area to sit with lights and unique decor. This place is absolutely ADORABLE. I came here for the first time on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't too busy, maybe 1 or 2 other customers. There are a few parking spots right in front of the buildings, but there is a separate parking lot farther in if you follow the path toward the exit (which is separate from the entrance). The decorations here are so cute and cozy, and the staff is incredibly friendly as well. I asked for a few recommendations of what's popular and they provided some, which I bought. They had flavored iced coffees, lemonades, local sodas, cookies, breads, sleeves of cider doughnuts, muffins, and more. Everything I tried tasted amazing, especially the cider doughnuts, which were so soft and delicious. The cookies were huge and yummy, and so were the muffins. Night time they have string lights throughout the sitting areas that are somewhat secluded so you are can have a more relaxing private experience than most ice cream places in the area. They do accept cards. I took photos of the bathroom area and I have to say thank you for not being a porta potty especially when you ate taking the kids out! Some weekend night they even have live music. Check out the schedule they even have the local student musicians. Love how this place has thought of it all including Cider donuts.
