July 2025: We were passing through Massachusetts on the way to New York and a local person recommended stopping at Westview Farm Creamery for ice cream and beautiful views. To our surprise, not only was it exceptionally beautiful but they had adorable goats who wanted to pose for every picture! The menu has a variety of ice cream flavors and I went with the Mint Chocolate Chip. Delicious and creamy and excellent chocolate pieces! Service was fast and friendly. Stopped here for the first time ever yesterday with my two sons. What a wonderful place. The ice cream was excellent with large portions. The staff had it out the window in record time. Peaceful setting with plenty of tables, a small playground and goats to pet. Will go back again! read more

Ice cream is reasonably priced, got two HUGE scoops of pumpkin ice cream. Staff is very friendly and area is very clean. We purchased goat cones to feed the goats. Great place to come with family and or with your significant other or just yourself. They had mums out for purchase and were getting their pumpkins all set for purchase as well. What a great little spot to hang-out if you're reasonably local and want a pint with a great view. We were there on a cold, windy day, which was not an optimal combination, but it was still a nice place overall. While we were there, they had plenty of parking, goats you could feed, pumpkins for purchase (or you could take a hayride out to the fields to pick one of your own), burgers, dogs, beer and wine etc. by the outdoor bar, way more food options in the restaurant building, and a wide variety of ice cream as well. My one negative would be the playscapes/plastic castles for kids seemed a bit weathered and at times dangerous/sharp/potential for failure, particularly in the face of them being at times overloaded with a high number of kids with minimal supervision. read more

Been going there since I was a little kid, and it's only gotten better. They have tons of great ice cream but my favorite is the toasted coconut! There was also an option to get a flight of ice creams now. So cool, that's what my girlfriend got. They had some beautiful, unique pumpkins today. Got the yellow one. Always loved going there. But this last time was terrible. 1- don't Serve any burgers or hotdogs anymore. 2- Took the coloring out which is ok But. Tell me before hand. 3- ordered a Vililla HOT FUDE Brownie SUNDAY & a small pistachio on a cone. 4- The vanilla had no flavor and the hot fudge was cold along with a cold Brownie. The brownie should be warm in the cup and the hot fudge should also be warm not cold. Which tells me it's not real hot fudge. 5- The pistachio had no pistachio flavor at all it looked like Vanilla ice cream with Pistachio's in it. Ended up just throwing the hem in the trash. What a huge disappointment. It used to be a great place to go to grab some food and have a great ice cream after. Home to many locals, place has really improved over the years. I can remember as a kid coming here feeding the animals, picking pumpkins, and trying many flavors of ice cream. Still can do all of that and by the looks of the once indoor seating, now storage?, that there are more activities to enjoy. What useful information I can pass along is if you are coming up for food I would recommend calling ahead. Took almost 40 minutes for a burger, fries, and a quesadilla. There were ten orders a head of my grandfather and I, the size of the kitchen is small and looked as if there were two cooks. Food is delicious, but the wait could test the patients of some. One scoop of ice cream is plenty. Two is a good portion size and on a hot day your ability to lick the melt before it gets all over you will be tested, a dish is recommended. read more

Tucked away in a rural community, this quaint creamery is a perfect spot to take family and friends for an outdoor ice cream dessert. Picnic table spread throughout the grass lawn overlook a beautiful countryside view. There is a coral of cute goats for petting. And the day I was there, a wine tasting event was going on with live music softly playing in the background. Prices for ice cream was very reasonable and the wait staff was friendly. It's easy to get caught up in the beauty of a place and its pastoral surroundings. I think that's what is going on with all the love for Westview Farm Creamery. It's a magical place. The goats. The view. The proximity to one of the best breweries in the country. But the food is just okay. And it's kind of expensive for what it is. The ice cream is less than okay. At least the flavor I ordered. The Monson Mud was icy. The bits of waffle cone mixed into the flavor were hard, chewy, and unpleasant. There were a ton of sprinkles in there, but not many brownie pieces. Still, I'll be going back. The kids really enjoyed it, and the place wasn't too far off the highway making it a good meeting place for family coming from all corners of the northeast. Plus, if I can convince the kids to make a trip out there some Wednesday through Saturday, perhaps I can sneak away to pick up some beers down the road. read more

Driving back to Long Island from Boston and was looking somewhere different to get a bite to eat... up came Westview Farms Creamery. It was a little bit off course but when I see Creamery and Ice Cream together... I go off course to get it!! We were not disappointed at all!!! What a gorgeous setting!! Mountains in the distance, a fantastic play area for kids, plenty of tables outside, goats that you can feed and play with... and of course the restaurant!! We had a burger and fries .... delicious and the fries were addictive!!! We fed the goats and then had some ice cream!! The girl helping us was super sweet because we wanted to try different flavors and she just smiled and kept getting us samples!! The ice cream was nothing short of perfection!!! You can taste the quality and the love that goes into it!!! It's worth the few extra miles and calories!! read more

This place is absolutely awesome on a very quaint country Road. First of all the place is beautiful,second the young girl that took my order was also very polite and helpful something that you seldom see anymore. I met both of the owners and they were very informative answering all questions I had. The burger I ordered and fries were cooked great and very large proportion's(delicious)We sat outside and ate and and watched the sunset set in the west. I would highly recommend this place. The view, especially at sunset, is spectacular. We have watched fireworks there, picked pumpkins there, ate there, had ice cream, and fed the goats. The kids like bringing a football to toss around. The food is solid but not spectacular. You are paying for the ambience not necessarily a five star dinner. Solid 4 stars but I wouldn't begrudge anyone for giving it five. read more

So-- I'll break my review into two separate sections. Issue vs non issue. Decided to eat at the little cafe part they have at the creamery. The party I came with was 5 adults and 1 toddler. There was no one else in the cafe when we went to order. Everyone spoke to the cashier, we paid, and we waited. About 5 families came in by the time we'd sat down and were waiting for our food. Everyone's food comes out..except mine. So we go up to the counter and explain we're missing an order. She tells us that the kitchen never got my order and that the only way to figure it out was to look at our receipt...that had already been thrown away. So the girl behind the register has the audacity to tell us that if we want to go digging through the trash can we are welcome to look for it. Excuse me? How about no. So we ended up paying twice for my one meal which was quite annoying. The wrap I had ordered was absolutely delicious, but the way the staff treated me/us left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Now we get to the non issue, the fun stuff. The stuff establishments want to read about. The "petting zoo" area was fine, they housed a couple of goats. They all seemed well fed, especially because you're able to buy feed to give to them. That was fun. Children's play area unfortunately wasn't able to really be used as it had downpoured the night before and everything was soaked/housed giant puddles. Pumpkin picking was fun, LOTS of pumpkins to choose from, and they weren't just small ones either. I'm talking big, fat pumpkins. Perfect for carving or leaving on front porch steps as decorations. They also give two options for hay rides. One through a pumpkin patch and one scenic. We didn't end up taking a ride but I would go back to give the scenic one a go--maybe. read more

This review is of the farm itself. I went toward the end of the season the last week of October and it was beautiful. I experienced the hayride through their property and it was well done and only $2 a person! The large pumpkins were only $4 each which beats the supermarket experience especially when you're the one finding your prized pumpkin yourself! They have a small goat pen that houses a group of wonderful goats that love to be fed. For $1, you can buy a bag of 5 food cones and the goats come rushing to you to be loved on. I've tried many of their ice cream flavors (strawberry, Grape Nut, maple bacon, Boston cream pie) and they're all delicious! Get a waffle cone and you (maybe) won't regret it. I learned recently that they sell their ice cream by the quart...pleasantly dangerous! I haven't tried their American fare. Add the view, the goats, and the occasional confusion of guineafowl or Siamese cat and you won't be bored. They also offer seasonal flavors, a corn maze, and pumpkin picking. Kids have plenty of play area as well and there's a solar farm down the hill if you don't mind. Bathrooms indoors, a portable toilet and sinks outside. read more

Fun for all ages especially during the Fall season when the pumpkins have ripened and the Autumn air is crisp and clean. The Creamery sells very good ice cream which is ordered and picked up out front but if you decide to have a fast food lunch there is seating and a small restaurant inside. Place your order at the counter take a number and find an available table or take your meal outside where there are numerous picnic tables. There is a small penned area with goats for children to pep or hand feed; nearby food is provided for a small price to feed the animals. There is a small playscape for smaller children adjacent to the goat pen in case they might feel intimidated by the goats. Down in the back pumpkins and small gourds are for sale or you can wonder through the pumpkin patch and pick your which costs a little bit less than those on display. There is always a fire going down in that area to ward off the Fall chill and it provides a very nice sitting area and vantage point to take in the surrounding view. read more

A once affordable and unique family experience is in my opinion now a sell out. $15 and $18 for large and extra large pumpkins, $5 for small. I have heard a majority of the pumpkins are not grown on the property and the markup is shameful! What constitutes a large pumpkin is sold as a small anywhere else for $5 or less, and an extra large size is only extra on the price and not the size. Yesterday I observed 3 little boys, aged 7 and under pick out their special pumpkin, When the father went to pay, the pumpkin price was $54, with an additional $15 tacked on for the hayride, bringing the total cost up to $69. Definitely priced higher than anticipated, but how does a parent tell 3 little boys that had ridden an hour in the car that they could not keep their prized pumpkin? They don't, and that is what Westview Farms counts on! Pumpkin picking at Westview Farms has been a family tradition for us for over 20 years. It was a gem in the early days, and somewhere along the line became a money grab, and the magic is lost. Sadly, I left the farm without a pumpkin purchase and went to Big Y and selected an enormous Jack-O-Lantern sized pumpkin for $4.99. Next year we will do our research and take our growing family to a pumpkin patch where family is still appreciated and selecting a pumpkin does not cost a weeks worth of groceries or a tank of gas. read more

I am torn. I wasnt wowed by my icecream. I got smores and i feel like i had one large chip of chocolate, a small bite of graham cracker and a small goo of marshmallow. It was mostly vanilla icecream. My husband felt like his icecream tasted of freezer burn. The atmosphere itself made up for it. Beautiful views of mountains and sunflower fields. Beautiful spot. A nice place to take a ride. Great place to take the kids because of the friendly farm animals which they can feed.
