Explains the closed loop system, informative about other medical issues and teaches throughout the treatment. He doesn't push too hard, but encourages a good treatment. With the price of the treatment, you get a large supply of higher quality fine fiber supplement, and offers to make a fiber and probiotic (goat milk) drink after, which after the treatment tastes like heaven! Let's just say I been wanting to get this type of service done for over a year. But quite frankly there's not many places in Hawaii that does Colon Hydrotherapy / colonic and the very few places that provides these services don't have great reviews. Now I've never been a regular person and even had to get a colonoscopy at the age of 30. At my exam they discovered an extra large polyp and had to remove it during the exam. The doctor said if I came in for a exam at the required colonoscopy age it would of most likely been cancer. That's when realize I need to do something. After much research, I was drawn to the history and benefits of the colon hydrotherapy and was determined to give it a try. But I will admit it took my over year to get over a stranger getting close to my butt. Excited but a little uncomfortable I decided to book an appointment and I must say it was the best thing I could have ever done for my health. There was no pain, maybe a little pressure but Dr. Alcion was very informative and professional which made it easy. He educated me on the colon, gave me tips on how to take care of my health and even whipped up a nice chocolate almond fiber shake. So, I'm down 5 lbs since my first treatment yesterday. That is just a testament to how much build up I had. It was No spa treatment and we were both worried for the first 20 minutes when Nothing was being released. He keep calm, so I stayed calm. He was working really hard, no small talk during this crucial period. About 25 minutes in, I felt like someone had popped a balloon on my insides. I didn't know what to expect but reading the reviews I knew it would help me. I was right. I woke up today and felt lighter and my stomach is much flatter. Also Ive been to the restroom three times today! That is some kind of record for me. I drank the powder he gave me, as recommended on an empty stomach. Warning: Don't attempt to mix with water and shake. It turns really thick. So do what he says and blend it and drink it quickly! It doesn't taste bad and it will fill you up. Overall the discomfort was well worth it. I will be back. I need to heal a little back there so probably not next week but really soon. I was referred to Alcyone a couple of years ago and I had never made an appointment. I would make the excuse of the cost, the time, the distance yada yada yada.....I finally just hunkered down and committed and boy (cue the V8 head slap) I shoulda done this a long time ago! I have always wanted to experience a colonic and now I finally have! Let me tell you I never realized how 45 minutes with Alcycone would change my life. When I arrived he made me feel comfortable and talked me through everything. He showed me past X-rays of his previous clients and showed me graphs of what a good colon should look like. After that we went straight to work and explained the pressure and temperature of the water and how many cycles he was going to do. Now I'm not gonna lie and say this was easy. You do have to focus and breathe through out the process and Alcycone does try to keep your mind occupied by talking to you. I thought it would be easy enough that I would be able to video all the stuff coming out of me but I thought wrong. I was very focused on getting through this process. Maybe take your other half with you or someone you're comfortable with in that kind of environment to distract you. The only worry I have is having an accident because this process makes you have a sensation of needing to use the bathroom for 30-45 minutes Alcycone provided me a fiber drink that to me tasted good. He also educated me on any questions I had about health. Now for the great results! I seen alot of the build up in my colon get taken out and that was surely gratifying. 15 minutes after, I did not have a sensation to use the bathroom. I made it comfortably over the Pali from Kailua to Kaka'ako. I felt renewed and rejuvenated and eating a salad made me full (and maybe a piece of bread pudding). Morning after, with all truthfulness my stomach is much flatter and I am down 6 lbs from my heaviest weight which was 2 days ago. I called to inquire about the cold in Hydro therapy and a man who said he was a therapist there had called me back. When he called me back and I answered which I am a man, he started laughing and I thought that was very unprofessional. He said he was a therapist and he's sorry for laughing at me but he said most of the customers that call him are women and not men and then he continue to explain all of his experience and services which at that point I told him to stop talking and I told him that I did not appreciate him laughing at me when I answer the phone because I'm a man and if he was a nice concerned therapist then he would've asked me how can he help me and I would have told him that I'm calling for my 73-year-old mother and it's not for me and I did not appreciate you laughing when I answered the phone because I was a guy. Did some research on the procedure and a friend who has it done in California recommended it. I found this place on Yelp with great reviews. I called on Friday as a first timer and managed to get in the next day because of a cancellation. I was appreciative and told to be there on time. I planned, prepared, and looked forward to the appointment. Unfortunately, I could not make the appointment and out of respect and as a courtesy I called to cancel the appointment and advised I would call back to reschedule. I left a message at 8am. About an hour later I got a call, was told you called to cancel your appointment at 11am? I said yes. Then asked if I was a first timer? I said yes. He than proceeds to say that since I was a first timer and I cancelled I would be unable to book any future appointments. That there are other places I could go to for the procedure. Then he hung up. I believe he has enough business to go around that he doesn't need to waste his time on first timers? So be aware of that and don't cancel. That is something that should have been specified upon making the appointment. I should have known when I made the appointment because he seemed more concerned about me getting there on time than getting my name which I had to give him before hanging up. Didn't care who I was or why I was calling. Just wanted to know how I heard about him, if I researched the procedure, and to be in the office on time. Kinda abrasive and short. Much Iike you would expect from living on the mainland when you just a number or face. No aloha. This is how he runs his business and that is his right is the impression I got. Things happen and people have to cancel appointments. Did not care for the reason just told to take my business elsewhere. He states on his voice recording HEALTH and WEALTH. I decided to try this because I'm desperate to find help for my gi issues. Today was my first session. Other reviews gave a good description of what was going to happen but it was still a unique, uncomfortable experience. The building itself isn't new or updated but his office felt clean enough. He explained how a colon should function, had a diagram as well as x-rays of colons that we not healthy. The experience can be awkward and uncomfortable. He does a good job distracting and talking you through the times the pressure gets more intense. It feels like you're suddenly going to have the worst bathroom emergency but you're in a public place so have to hold it. Then, after sweating for a few, the pressure is released and you see "food in a different form" go through the tube. Everything he said rang true to my symptoms so I know he knows his stuff. Though I was uncomfortable for a couple hours after and had to be near a bathroom for at least two hours, I plan to do my next session in a week. I'll update after I'm through all three. read more

Alcyone is the best! I've had terrible IBS constipation my whole life and getting colonics and using his fiber has definitely been life changing. I saw him for the first time back in January. We did another treatment a week later and then a third about a month later. I now go back whenever I'm needing some relief or having a flare up. I was not sure what to expect with this experience. I was chronically sick, fatigued and bloated after eating. I had reached a point that I was willing to try anything. After each treatment I felt a little better and very relaxed, after 5-6 treatments I noticed big changes in the way I felt and the way my defective system was working. Finished my second treatment yesterday and definitely felt an improvement! The pressure in my stomach is finally gone! I've been having abdominal issue and slow motility on/off for a year. When I came to Hawaii for a visit, I never thought that I would be getting 11 colonics!
